Hands are not part of the bat. Has anyone ever purchased a bat with hands on it? A lot times when situations like this come up in a game the umpires make the call both ways depending on the crew.

My name is Matt Dennis and I'm looking for Any 17u travel ball team.
What is your location?

Lewis County made it to the championship game on loretto and lost to Lawrence county. They are a good ball club if the play defense and their pitchers stay healthy. We pitched JV pitchers to Lawrenceburg and lost. I don't know the score of the game. It will be an interesting Spring for LC.
Several teams had to pitch JV pitchers at the Loretto tournament. The real test for LC will be this week against SH. Although LC is catching SH at a good time I guess you could say. Barksdale is out for a couple of weeks. I'm still going with SH.
Monday/Tuesday Predictions:
SH/LC - SH sweeps
GC/MC - split
HC/EH HC sweeps
Page/Summit - Page sweeps
Fairview - off
Any thoughts?
-
Hey, I'm right there with you on the potential... But an outstanding ball club will show up more than 1 out of 3 games. It's the first week, I know, but GC will have to play a lot better than they have yet to beat MC.
And get pitching from someone besides Springer and their freshman...
When it comes down to it GC will be a tough team. Year and year out GC is tough to beat. They may not be the best team on the field but they make you think they are. The feed off a lot of emotion. Fun too watch!

Rice looked really good yesterday against Brentwood and picked up the win. He gave up 8 hits and had 9 strikeouts. He also was hitting the mid 80's.
Nice!!!
I hate that B-Ray can't pitch his Sr season. I really feel that he would be mentioned in this thread along with the pitchers already listed.
-
Hello Willie. Haven't seen you lately.
I will see you this week in Loretto. Hope all is well!
Congrats on a good win yesterday for WC.
-
SH 6-0 winner over Eagleville tonight. Barksdale looked great on the mound for SH.
-
Did Adams pitch?
Adams did pitch. Gave up only 2 hits. Had several K's but I can't remember the exact #.
-
How did everyone turn out on opening day?
SH drop a 5-2 decision to Eagleville. SH made several errors that hurt. Plus Smith pitched for Eagleville and he is pretty good!
Going off the scoreboard...

Re-read it again...I think you're talking about Chevis Hoover.
That's him. Good player! What is the status on his future with college ball. I spoke to him some while coaching against Franklin County in the summer. I thought he had told me that he was leaning toward MTSU.

Spring Hill has some pretty good arms.

1. Tullahoma / Columbia
3. Lincoln Co.
4. Franklin co.
5. Lawrenceburg
6. Shelbyvile
Im going to give the nod to Tully in the end. Think they have just enough bats to beat Columbia. Every game, might I add, will be 3 runs or less.
I wouldn't put Shelbyville at the bottom. They are well coached and they made a lot of improvements over the summer coming on strong at the end.
Tough district when you have to face Slatton, Stone, and the Sheffield's in a 2 game series.
What is the name of the kid from Franklin County that is getting interest from MTSU? I seen him play back in the summer. He plyaed 3B and pitched I believe. Very good player!

LC has Scrimmaged 4 times. For this team, it just depends on if they wanna hit or not. They have 4 solid all around players. Number 11 Caleb Brewer has started since he was a freshman and a pretty good catcher. Number 20 Charter Helton is a good SS. He is a sophomore now. Started as a Freshman. Number 1 Cody Owen is the second baseman. He is a vacuum over there and he is a Sophomore who started as a freshman. And we have a Kid named Ryan Bell. He is number 6. He moved here from Louisville Kentucky and started up there as an 8th grader at a 5A school. He is the Center Fielder and is a Junior.
Here are the scrimmages we have played.
LC-7
Loretto- 4
LC- 7
Lexington- 3
LC- 6
Collinwood- 3
LC- 0
Perry County- 10
They came out flat against Perry County. Nobody wanting to hit or do anything. Lewis County could have a good season if there sticks stay hot like they are. Obviously it doesn't look like they did good in that last scrimmage but hey, it's pre season, alot of stuff to learn and work on.
I still see LC struggling with SH, MC, and GC espcially now that Ammons has graduated. IDK they may surprise me and others.
