I would like to know why Ravenwood doesn't get to play this game at home. They have been on the road for three games. In 1988 Dickson County played the first playoff game at home and then went on the road for two games and then were able to play the semi-finals at home becuase they had been on the road for the last two games. Hendersonville was supposed to have been at home all the way through the playoffs, but the game was moved to Dickson because of a rule that you only play two games on the road. Has this rule been changed?

I would add Carl goo-baby Woods to this list.He played at Gallitin and went on to play at Vandy, also would mention Tim Johnson, played at Lincoln co. and played for Vandy. These two guys played each other in one of the most exciting High school football games that I have ever watch. They played for state championship in 1982. Game went into OT.LC won game on a sweep to the right by Tim Johnson.

I have watched both teams play....Dickson has the best running back i have seen all year in shane rayburn! his power and quick feet make him an incredible threat, and brown has great power too! however, the best threat on the team is their quarterback. He is probably the best throwing quarterback dickson has had in the last decade. If they can utilize their passing game they can win this one, but if they play conservative like they did against riverdale then they may get beat. Franklin has a strong defense, but i havent seen any team this year that can hang with dickson in the fourth quarter. However franklin may be the team to do it, although they didnt look very good late in the indy game!

You are so right FOOTBALL55 DC QB is a big reason we are having sucess this year. He throws a tight spiral and he can also run the ball pretty good. Jon Primm is a great athlete. also very good BB player. and the best part He isonly a JUNIOR!

I have heard about Vaughn my whole life, and I wished I could have seen him play.

I actually have the entire 1988 playoffs on tape. I would be glad to let you watch them sometime.

Vaughn was an amazing running back, as was huddleston! 88' was a great year, If i am not mistaken they both ran for over 1000 yards that season. I dont think rayburn is quite that good, but he has potential being as young as he is.

Actually they had a little over 1800 yards each.

Shane Bishop had the best arm at Dickson, it was just under utilized.

I agree about Shane Rayburn, I have never seen a back with as many moves.

You are right couga14 Shane Bishop was a very good QB. We beat RIVERDALE his junior year, at TOMAHAWK STADIUM. That year we should have won the state. One of the best teams Dickson ever had. Shane Rayburn is a very exciting running back. He has great moves and has good speed. He reminds me of another running back we had at Dickson in 88 and 89. JEFF VAUGHN. MR. FOOTBALL FOR 3A IN 89. He was and still is the best high school football player I have ever ever ever seen, and I have watched my share of High school Football over the years.

Who know's whats going to happen in this game? NO doubt Franklin is going to be the toughest game for us since RIVERDALE. I am looking forward to this one. We will be able to see how we stake up with a very talented team. EVERYONE IN DICKSON NEEDS TO BE AT THIS GAME. THIS STARTS OUR PLAYOFF RUN. Hey DC001.Did I miss something. Franklin held IHS to 120 something yards rushing but who won the game Franklin. NO IHS DID. THE W IS WHAT MATTERS.

I agree that every school should support their team, but maybe if no one comes to the games Sharder will get the hint that he needs to do something about their coach. It's time for Gregory to retire.

iT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO GET BEHIND YOUR TEAM AND SUPPORT THEM. YOUR TEAM HAS ALOT OF TALENT ON IT. ALOT OF SPEED. HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHY THEY RUN UP THE MIDDLE WITH SO MUCH SPEED. OUTSIDE LOOKS LIKE IT WOULD WORK BETTER. WHO IS NUMBER 17 AND WHAT GRADE IS HE KEEP YOUR HEADS UP

Just got in from milking my cow. Needed something to wash my crow pie down with. VERY VERY IMPRESSIVE. Best running attack I have ever seen. I think Riverdale is even more dangerous than before. To me offense much much better than with Rankin. DC has a good team , but lost to best 5A TEAM IN STATE. Would like to see yall again. Would be in STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.Who knows, we still have tough road ahead of us, with INDY, FRANKLIN, RAVENWOOD. Last 3 games of year. Good Luck to RIVERDALE the rest of the way. I can't see anyone beating yall.

So then why is it you are complaining about not getting coverage from the nashville stations when you are not from nashville? I wouldn't expect to tune in to a dickson radio station and here anything other than dickson football talk and proper techniques for cow milking.

Cow milking? The last time someone ran their mouth about cow milking we won the state championship and that person had to come to Dickson and milk a cow in the middle of our football field. So if you think that type comment will upset us, your wrong. We are just as proud of our farming heritage as we are of our COUGAR football team!

DC is the Rodney Dangerfield of high school football. No respect. But that fuels the fire and the desire. We like being overlooked and under rated and flying under the radar.
