I've seen Catholic, Webb, Knox West, and Greeneville play this year and I would not call any of those teams "weak." As a matter of fact, my observation would be that Cathlic and West are stronger now than at any point in the season because they have players back from injury. West just beat Oak Ridge in the AAA District final. From what I've seen in the New Sentinel and on Eurosport, Miss Novicoff has accounted for about 30% of CAK's goals. That leaves 70% of the goals coming from other players on the CAK side. I believe a player like Laura can carry a team, even if she's not scoring goals. Leadership comes in many forms. I more curious about what you think are weaknesses on the CAK side that were revealed by these tough teams.

I think it is WAY too early for such speculation...CAK has some tough games in the next two weeks. They should focus on those games and on getting better...they should not get caught up in the hype and not put too much stock in the flowers being thrown on CoachT and other places. They could be their own worst enemy if they lose focus. I think that there are several teams capable of winning A/AA this year: Notre Dame, FRA, CCS to name a few...all of those teams have played tougher competition to date. It may come down to DESIRE...How bad do you want it CAK?

BigG, do you think being undefeated helps or hurts a team going into the tournament? Or does it even matter? Does it add negative pressure that otherwise would not be there? Can you sense it and potentially deflect this as a coach?

However they do it is problematic...CCS ranked 11 and Bearden not ranked when Bearden beat CCS 5-0 on September 9 in the CCS Tournament. I don't get that at all!

No disrespect meant toward Montgomery Central - they are off to a great start. My comment was aimed at the initial assessment of Montgomey Central being "strong". How can you tell if a team is strong if they have not played any strong competition up to this point? Beating a really bad team by a 6-0 score may mean something or it may mean little. Beating a really good team 1-0 means more I think.
