I would say that the best teams in the state are Ravenwood and Symrna, they are the only ones left with a chance to win the state title, and yes Ravenwood is in their second straight title game, and if you are wondering a loss in the regular season proves meaningless in the playoffs, but a loss in the playoffs and you are out, the best team moves on every time.
Do not give me that cra about the best team losing because who ever you are talking about was nto the best on at least one night and in the playoffs that is the only night that counts.
Okay and you point about dont give you that crap??? I siad regardless of what has happened in the playoffs.. And i am basing this on mostly of what the teams did when i saw them play.. William Blount played Ooltewah a tough game in regular season and so did Farragut, but when they lost their QB they got beat 49- 14 or something like that so they pretty much stink without a couple of their players in there, do i think Ooltewah was that much better than them no but it made me take them out of MY top ten teams. And by the way ill give you any crap i want to and you will just sit there and read it and do nothing so dont tell me what not to give you!!! You must be one of those Ravenwood snobs that thinks they can tell people what to say cause they have money!?!? Come down to Ooltewah and show me some money and tell me what to do, you will go home broke

Smyrna i just want to appoligize for getting on here and acting like a sore loser! you guys deserve to be here and thats for sure! In my eyes yall beat the best teams in the state to get where yall are and you guys deserve every bit of it! i dont know about all of the other Ooltewah fans but yall have all my respect to beat Riverdale and then the following week beat Ooltewah, that is a rough playoff scedule and now yall have Ravenwood, at first i wanted Ravenwood to put a whoopin on yall but now that im over our lose and hearing what Ravenwood talks about "money" for the most part is just stupid and imature!
So i hope you guys go to MTSU on saturday and just give them an ol trailer trash butt kicking!!!

Well, you are definitely entitled to your opinion, I am not very familiar with OOtlewah or Ravenwood, but Ravenwood is dfending their state title this week in another title game, I think that makes them the # 1 team in the state. Also, I have a hard time putting anyone who loses in the first round of the playoffs in the top ten of any poll unless it is a region poll. You also have Gallatin a head of Ridgeway, and Woodale, Woodale beat Ridgeway iln the 3rd round and and Rdigeway is above them, also both of them made it to the 3rd round, Gallatin out in a hurry.
Just becasue your a deffending champ doesnt mean they will be #1 throughout the whole next season, yes they are playing in the championship game but did they play the best teams in the state to get there?

- Riverdale and Dobyns-Bennett was a tough to decide for me but Riverdale has more respect comming from me so i put them in from but others will see different probably??? They are both better than Ravenwood, but best of luck to Ravenwood next week!!

I have not seen Hillsboro play nor a lot of other teams in the state but with all of the teams that i have seen play like Ooltewah, Smyrna, Farragut, so on and so on Maryville is the best team. I am a Ooltewah fan but i do beleive even though Smyrna beat them that Ooltewah is better than them, but yes who ever wins that game (Maryville) i do beleive they are the best team in the state regardless of classification.

There is good ol volman09, who spouted about how great the competition is in East Tennessee last week. Haven't seen him until just now. Amazing how Ooltewah fared when they finally faced a team with some athletes on the roster, isn't it??? The Owls have a great team, but (as a flashback) I told this guy last week that Smyrna could match up with them any day of the week because they play better comp and wouldn't be awestruck by this great Ooltewah team. He got all huffy and talked about how bad he wanted Ooltewah to win, so I would shut up!!! i love it when I get under people's skin for telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. McNine4MVP runs a no-spin zone baby, and you're just caught in the vortex. I've been around this game for awhile in Tennessee and there have been some great East Tennessee teams. Alcoa, Maryville, DB back in the day, Fulton is good now, Sevier County had their moments, but with the population explosion, better coaching, and some other demographic factors the best ball is played in the Nashville Metropolitan Area, and its been that way for about a decade now. The fact that these two teams are playing for the title is not a coincidence.

I hope Ooltewah just kills yall friday just to shut you up!!! Good gosh you get on my nerves and i am just reading your ignorant post! If you are going to go back 10 years why stop there?? We should go all the way back to the 1950`s!!! Do some searching and i will promise you there is a heck of a lot more tradition in east Tennessee than up there and a lot more gold balls in trophy cases than your schools up there!!! PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG!!! IGNORANT FOOL!!!!! sorry Ooltewah fans for making us look bad by saying that but some people are goobers!!!I meant moreso at the 5A level because there are a number of 5A schools in Middle Tennessee that have played for the "chip" in the past 10 years. But this notion that the real football is played in the East is laughable. You must have forgotten about all the private school powers in Middle Tennessee like MBA, Goodpasture, David Lipscomb, Ezell-Harding, Donelson Christian Academy, Christ Presbyterian Academy, Battle Ground Academy, ......all of whom have played in title games in the past 10 years. Other than Maryville, Alcoa, Oak Ridge, D-B, and Red Bank's Gerald Riggs years, who in the East has consistently been good?? Shoot, I can't name another contender. Sevier County was good in the late 1990's with Matthews, Youell, and those guys. D-B can't get out of the first round and plays in an athletically inferior region. Your argument doesn't stick.
Murfreesboro Riverdale, Murfreesboro Oakland, Brentwood, Ravenwood, Franklin, Nashville Glencliff, and Hendersonville are Middle Tennessee 5A schools that have played for titles in the past 10 years. I admit that this is somewhat skewed by the East/West split that sends some Nashville area schools West in the playoffs, but the point is that these teams play each other with regularity, scrimmage and play 7 on 7 in the summers, and are ready for the playoff wars. Trust me, Ooltewah may beat Smyrna, but its not going to be because the Bulldogs were "WOWED" by their speed. I mean, there is the potential for a Ravenwood- Smyrna game next week. Those schools are 20 mintues apart (if you know the Rocky Fork backcut) and have already played in a heated game less than two months ago.

I honestly beleive Ooltewah is a better team than Smyrna , but i also beleive Riverdale is a better team than Smyrna and we all know who won between their last meeting, so with that said none of us really know who is going to win! We can all give out our predictions, but all that is saying is the people from Ooltewah think Ooltewah will win and people from Smyrna think Smyrna will win. Noone cares who we THINK is going to win and i really dont want to read about it, so lets start talking about the great players both teams have and what the teams are going to do to prove they are the better team!!

Unfortunately, it is because of comments like this that people say the same thing about Ooltewah fans. Thanks goodness Chattanooga only has to put up with a few of them, because I have found most folks from Ooltewah to be great people. What do any of these comments have to do with the game? And I have always been treated with the utmost respect by the people from Farragut as well. Stick with the facts and debate them, and stop all these personal attacks. They are completely fruitless.
There is a lot of stupid stuff said on here from everywhere, we shouldnt judge people from what people say on here and thats what a lot of people do. Ooltewah is full of great people, but just so you know a lot of people that go to ooltewah High school arent actually "from" Ooltewah!!!

You know i hope Ooltewah wins but i beleive this next game is going to be tougher than everyone thinks!! Sevier ( i dont know how to spell it ) is a very good team and will give them a run for the money!! I hope to see Ooltewah and William Blount again, that will be the game of the year in my eyes!!!!
