  1. Oh it is definently going to be on this Friday night. Shelbyville's game is on thrusday night so you know all the shelbyville fans will be coming. With basically all of bedford county and the jo byrns fans I wonder if its safe to say 5,000 will be at the game? Do what you do best Cascade and execute and you will walk off the field after four quarters shoing why your nickname is what it is. Go Champs
  2. Nah we dont supply anything to you. You have to come prepared and earn it. This will be no give me to JBHS. Cascade will not be intimidated either. Watch how #5 runs on Friday night at fullback. There is nobody on the field who runs as hard ad he does.
  3. Well Cascade has been handing out "tests" as well and nobody has passed ours either. You gotta come down to the stable and get yours. Its a long drive down here hope your team stays prepared. Go Champs
  4. Nice post couldnt of said it better. Go Champs, practice hard, listen your coaches and execute what they tell you and everything will work out well. Go Champs
  5. Good post predarat. I would have to agree that Murphy Fair will be there since most of the regions have already been decided and I dont beleieve any other games have two undefeated teams going up against eachother. Hope both teams have injury free practices. Be safe to all Jo Byrns fans and players on your trip down. See ya Friday Night
  6. Im not picking Jo Byrns to win im a Cascade fan! Im just saying I went to the Jo Byrns game last week to see what they were all about and their defense is very impressive. If Coach Parker and his staff find ways to exploit it and do something nobody has all year Cascade will be in for a great night. Hats off to both teams for having a great year thus far. Go Champs
  7. I cant get on here and say that neither team has nothing to lose because they do and that is a region title and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. I think that right now Jo Byrns has the advantage because they are the defending region champs. You have to beat the best to be the best. I was very impressed by Jo Byrns play last friday night. If cascade can play mistake free ball like Jo Byrns does we will be in for a thriller. I thought it was great how both teams came out throwing Friday night so much. I think it was a great game plan by both because you cant worry just about the run now. Not that both teams havent been successful passing as well but both teams have ran the ball more than they have thrown this year. Another thing that will be determined is after friday nights game how will the losing team react to it since neither teams have all year long. That will go along way to see how they end up doing in the playoffs.
  8. Well like you said none of this matters but since you had to go and point it out. I didnt realize you put the post up before the game. Also we have both played nine games now so either way it doesnt matter. Be safe on your trip to Wartrace. Its going to be a classic Friday night
  9. Tuck you played a great game the other night. Congrats on being Mr. JBHS. I made the trip all the way from the Boro. I have a question for you though, not being disrespectful at all but would you say the reason you being left unblocked alot is due to your defenseive line or more of the ability you have to avoid blockers. Just a question from watching you play the other night. I think you guys have a great defense and Cascade will have to dig in their playbook to exploit your teams defense. One other thing I noticed in the game the other night was that everytime that mcewen went to pass the ball if their recievers were looking back at the QB they may have caught a few passes. Should be interesting to see how both teams go at eachother this week. Yall gonna try that onside kick on cascade. Is your kicker not much of a deep ball kicker on kickoffs because it looks like if thats how he kicks cascade will start with good field position all night. Go Champs
  10. This will be a great measuring stick this Friday for both teams. I have a couple of questions off the subject of football. Dont mean to get wayyyy off topic but when i went to the Jo Byrns mcewen game this past weekend I saw a sign for the Bell Witch House or cave or something. Does that get talked about alot in Adams and also is it bs or how does the locals feel about it. Just curious. Sorry about getting off topic.
  11. I have enjoyed chatting and debating tonight with ya. Do we have anything in common? Do you like the vols atleast lol. Well I cant wait for next friday. We should meet up at the game it would be fun to talk and hear perspectives from you as well. I dont have a problem with you or do I have a problem with your statements. They are factual and that makes it fun to debate. It should be a great game and will put alot of questions to rest after next friday. i think if it is a close game which i believe it will be that it could very well make for a great matchup in the playoffs possibly. Im off to bed gotta get ready to watch my vols beat the brakes off the tide tommorrow. Go Vols and Go Champs.
  12. The point on the running backs is that it is a change of pace and style with each. If your defense can stop this offense and hold them to under 100 yards rushing I will say your team will win state. But until your defense does because nobody has held our rushing attack under 200 all year I will keep talking. You have a good defense. I do have a few questions im sure you will have an answer to. Do you guys ever blitz? I think that Chris Tuck is a good linebacker but he was hardly ever touched or blocked. Maybe that is credit due to your d-line I dont know. But as a future coach and someone who has a little knowledge of the game of football I would put a block on him all night long. If you take him out of the equation you can be successful against your defense. I saw only two times someone got to Tuck and when they did he was taken out of the play. Im not saying he was knocked down just saying he wasnt able to make a play. Also your defense is able to sit back and make the play come to them. I think if carkuff has time to pass and he will if you dont blitz Seth Day will have a field day just like your WR did against Mcewen. Underdogs can defienetly win. Just look what " Little Ol Undefeated Temple" did to South Pitt last week. I think Jo Byrns fans are in for a treat. You will actually get to see your first string offense play a whole game. Congrats on your successful season. We all have gotten exactly what we wanted two undefeated teams squaring off in week ten. Congrats to both the teams players, coaches, and communities.
  13. I hope you guys have a safe trip down to Wartrace. I also hope you guys come in cocky and arrogant because you are playing someone with the same record as you. This will not be a push over game for either team. I really think you guys have a great team but Cascade does too. I didnt leave the game tongiht thinking oh my god Jo Byrns is unbeatable. I think you are the best team I have seen play this year besides cascade and I have no doubt in my mind that you will be Cascades toughest opponent thus far. But I can promise you Cascade will be your toughest opponent thus far as well. I hope both teams have a great week or practice and preperation. Everyone stay healthy and be careful driving down. See ya on Friday in the stable. I enjoyed the trucks something I have never seen in football. Good originality I like it.
  14. Your wrong on this one pal. It was not the same team at all. Ask a Mcewen fan if it was. I was at both games were you? If you were i dont see how you could state what you have. Jo Byrns is good but they are not that much better than Cascade. I would like to hear some matchups at each position and compare the two teams. My Opinions on the offense of the ball is this. At QB's there are both two talented QB's. I dditn realize Jo Byrns passing game was that effective, but Cascades secondary is 10 times better than Mcewen. One of there three starting running backs and starting safties didnt play against mcewen. I say who ever gives up the bigger play the advantage goes to which ever one plays beter. i know that is a no brainer. At RB I give the advantage to Cascade because they have 5 runing backs that can run all over the field, run over people, or score td's. At WR I say its a toss up because Seth Day and #2 on your team are very comprable. Now for the Offensive lines i give the nod to Cascade. They are huge up front and make things happen. As for defense as a whole I give the edge to Jo Byrns because stats dont line. If Cascade moves the ball like they did against their past 9 opponents they have a very good chance of winning. At Kicker the advantage goes to Mo Mo Stewart all day from cascade. Please bring your side into this I think this is going to be alot of fun this week.
  15. Jo Byrns has a great team and I am not going to sit here and try to deny that after watching them tonight. I will say this though the Mcewen team that played Jo Byrns tonight was not the team that Cascade played a week ago. That a side this will be a great game guaranteed. I guarantee jo Byrns will not shut Cascade out. I dont think Cascade will shut them down either but I dont think either team will score their average points per game. This may come down to the kicking game. I also think both teams will have eachothers respect after watching the game next friday. Its great to see Region 5A represented this well. These teams are going to do some damage in the playoffs. Go Champs!
  16. Hey I just got back a while ago from the Jo Byrns game. You guys have a great team. I have nothing but respect for your team. My last post on the past page was due to the guy being inaccurate about points per game. The one weakness I see in Jo byrns where Cascade has the advantage is the kicking game which will play big into field position. I think the game is very evenly matched and will in no way be a blow out either way. I know for Cascade to win they will have to bring their A game, but I think Jo Byrns will have to play great ball as wel.. Your QB is a great athlete and your running back and receivers are great as well. This game is going to be one for the ages and I really beleive this will be a preview of a rematch in week three of the playoffs. This will be a fun week of going back in forth leading up to the game. Go Champs
  17. Check your stats one more time pal. What you do is add up all of the total points JBS has scored then divide it by nine. You will see that Cascasde's PPG is larger. And for the " Almost" statement about how much each team is scoring this isnt horseshoe's pal. Good luck next week in Wartrace. Ya Better bring a lunch
  18. I find this thread rather interesting. I think it is a good one because there really isnt much bashing going on btw Jo Byrns and Cascade just simply people supporting their teams and saying they will win. As far as coaches go i can see where you would support your coach just as we cascade fans would support Coach Parker and his staff. My question to you though is what game have you seen us play and when you watched it what was different btw the two coaches styles. We all know that Jo Byrns has a great defense and has held opponents to a lower amount of points this season but we also know that cascade has scored more points a game than Jo Byrns. So what gives here? The way things look as of now this game will be decided late into the fourth quarter if not the last drive of the game. I just find it hard to hear someone say one coach is better when there is nothing to back it up? Both teams are 8-0 seems to me that both coaching staffs are pretty darn good, and their players respond well to both coaching staffs.
  19. I think my post stated you are entitled to say and feel however or whatever you want. I dont think you hate cascade. never said you did. But for the sake of the matter good luck on your journey to making the playoffs.
  20. Ha Ha Well with the exception of you MOTO you know all right?
  21. Today is October 18th, I wrote that on October 6th. I could care less what any outside fan thinks of cascade or who they support. My meaning behind it was because how lone we have had a rivalry. Kind of like how Collinwood and MT. Plesant have eachothers back. It doesnt really matter because everyone is entitled to their own opinion. All I know is nobody knows squat about what is going to happen between Cascade an Jo Byrns until next friday's game is played. Jo Byrns can say they have held their opponents to a very low minimun, but cascade isn't far behind them on points allowed and Cascade can say that they have scored more on some of the same teams each has played. Seems to me that something has to give one way or the other. It looks to be a very even matchup because in alot of ways they cancel eachother out in certain aspects of the game. Should be a blast next weekend. Good luck to both teams this week stay injury free. Also Forrest instead of worrying about what is going on this thread why dont you guys worry about making the playoffs because 1st & 2nd place are covered. Go Champs
  22. I am sorry to hear about your sons injury. i hope he has a fast and great recovery. Good luck to Mcewen the rest of the way. Beat Jo Byrns.
  23. I know as a fan of your region its not only your right but your duty to support your region. But in this case or matter region 6 cannot touch region 5 this year. MT. Pleasant congrats on your winning season. You will have a tough time as well getting past the second round. If you do, then it will be well deserved. I think region 5 take three of four atleast in the first round. Good luck the rest of the regular season. Hope all teams will be injury free from this point on. Cascade and Jo Byrns will meet in the third round of the playoffs. Thats my opinion but I think until either are beat or tested nobody can say much at all. Go Champs Region 5A simply the best!
  24. The reason i said its a good thing its played on the field is because none of us fans have anything to do with the outcome. By the way some fans on here talk about Jo Byrns it makes it seem like we dont stand a chance. So I was saying that because we cant control the outcome. Good luck this week. Its gonna be a war next week.
  25. Thats alright let them count us out. Week 10 should be a great one. As for Jo Byrns they better not look past mcewen. They are tough and wont lay down against them. If Jo Byrns wins this week it will be a great game in week 10. Its a good thing that it is played on the field and being that it is at Cascade I like our chances. I guess we will see what happens then. Hope your not looking past mcewen or it could be a disapointing senior night.
