  1. From the grapevine within the MJ family and not Reed or his family-No D-1 schools but smaller schools. That really surprises me. I figured maybe at least a Southern Conference like Wofford (Perfect fit for the Offense they run). Cornelia is only a JR.

Hey MJ, did Reed send Woffy any game films? I will pass the word this weekend or very soon.

  2. Well obviously I will be pulling for the Bison. I think they lost too much to win this game this year. Maybe next year will be closer. They have nothing to lose by leaving it all on the field, could be dangerous for GHS. As always, Go Bison! Pray for safety for both teams, fans, and coaches.

  3. Okay, I did this last year and had a great response from the coacht faithfuls. Even tho' I don't have a kid playing I want you to list your school on here for prayers. These boys and coaches need to be lifted up this season and we as parents and fans owe it to them. List your team even if someone else already has.

    Station Camp....praying for you boys!!

    Go Bison!

  4. Iwas at the game but couldn't find you. Me and my wife ended up sitting over close to the band. At halftime I went to the top on the north end. I got several looks with my MJ shirt on but I also ran into several people I knew also. We left with 5 mins to go. Seigle had a good RB with a combination of power and speed. Hopefully your Bisons get back on track next week. I will be at the MJ/Gallatin game next week.

Hate I missed you MJ. I looked for the shirt and even walked in front of the crowd twice looking. We left with about 7 minutes to go, after the final TD. The Bison have some things to iron out before facing any big teams again. I liked the FG that Matt hit, a good punt too. I was really impressed by Jesse Chambers leg. I have read about him and was glad to see him kick. I will say after watching college ball closely the speed is waaay different. I think your Bears will have a true test Friday. I will be at the SC game so good luck.

  5. So far he is #2 on the depth chart in all three areas and hopefully will be moving to #1 for field goals soon. We will know in the next 7-8 days about dressing and travelling with team to Tampa to play USF Bulls on the 5th. The website and goupstate.com website is very biased to the senior. It is closer than they are letting on. He has had to change all of his form and is getting settled in now. If you still have my email drop me a line sometime. I will be at the SC-Siegal game Friday. Good luck to your Bears.

  6. bison4, has your son talked to his coaches about scouting some of these games this year? I know that there are a few players from MJ that would fit in at Wofford. I'm sure there are alot more out there in this region. It would be nice to jump start a pipeline for some of these kids from Sumner/Wilson Counties.

MJ, sorry so late getting back to you. We have been in SC watching a practice and a scrimmage. We were told by the coaches that they look at all tapes/dvd's sent to them with player info. They like big and FAST players for the line and speed everywhere else. The address is

    Wofford College

    c/o football dept.

    429 N. Church St,

    Spartanburg, SC. 29303

I think the recruiter for this area is Aaron Johnson. Good luck and spread the word!

  7. I really don't understand the fact that every year it seems like less and less people from MJ get on here and talk/support the Bears. Maybe I need to get a big sign with Coach T on it and run around at the games to advertise.

Get Morganna to carry it and it might work. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  8. Cameron Reed pitched two innings, Garrett Mayberry pitched four innings, and Cory Carrigan pitched one inning to get the W.

How did Cameron look? I think he has a good future with pitching.

  9. Thank you and the same back to you. Good luck to you and Wofford. It may be a small college but is a very good college and very sound football team.

Thanks. He has been getting ridiculed at school for picking a small school. Hearing "If you're so good why aren't you in D1a instead of D1aa?" I said it's just jealous kids. They don't even know the offers he turned down. Wofford is a tough school and a very competitive team. They play South Fla. and Wisconsin this year. I just hope he gets a chance and does well. We have been at the field practicing and watching SC's practice some. They are very big, maybe a little low on talent, but should surprise some teams this year. I will make some games this year, try to see ya'll play in October. Hope all is well, contact me at email sometime.

  10. CoachT has the first 4 listed but looking for the complete schedule.

    Aug 28th @ McGavock

    Sep 4th Gallatin *

    Sep 11th Whites Creek

    Sep 18th @ Hendersonville*

Hey MJ, they play Station Camp 10/16 at your place. should be close to playoff time then. Good luck this season and stay in touch.

  11. no. sycamore threw garret mayberry 4 innings and and cameron reed 1

I've been very impressed with Cameron Reed's pitching this season. It looks like he has about 3 pitches he can place anywhere he wants. His submarine or sidearm pitch is also a good mix to throw in. With all of the upper 80's pitchers today it's good to have some off speed junk to mix in. I can see Sycamore going very far this year with their senior leadership and key role players to help. They just have to stay focused and win the easy ones as well as the hard ones.

  12. State law prohibits school employees from joining in student led prayer. This has been the law for decades but most coaches IGNORE the law and do it anyway. I have mixed feelings about this but I understand that we all have a right to pray but teachers do not have the right to force students to pray. A moment of silence would be better, then every one could pray or not pray as they see fit.

How about if a player prayed and the coach was present. Is that legal? There has to be a way around this stupidity. ACLU-Anti Christian Liberties Union

Now, can I get an AMEN?

AVG.-42.7 1109 TOTAL POINTS FOR THE YEAR. NOT A MCDONALDS ALL-AMERICAN. OH OKAY.

Nice LB. You are very correct. Think about this, would you rather play in a McDonald's game or an NBA game? It doesn't matter to him if he gets the accolades that we want him to get. He wants that ring/ those rings. Good luck John and God bless you and your family it has been a joy to watch you play.
