1. Grace Christian, as always, was a very gracious host. First class treatment in the pressbox and on the field.

In the early part of the second quarter, it appeared the Rams might run away with it, but the Unaka front and linebackers made some critical stops.

The second half was a tough fight, but again the Unaka Defense was tremendous. Conditioning seemed to be the biggest difference in the latter part of the game.

The Rangers will have to bring more diversity to their offense, but even there, the hustle and fight were very inspiring. It was the third consecutive game in which the Defense had to hold the line to preserve victory. Jacob Estep was steady as usual. Jeremy Sommers, Josh Peters, Hunter Taylor, Nathan Shoun, Brent Perry all had sacks; I think there were more. About the best Defensive effort I've seen the Rangers play in recent years. Again, Grace Christian has a Very Athletic team!

Freshman, Devyn Aldridge was sensational at Defensive End. He made three consecutive plays during the final Grace Christian drive to help seal the deal. Hunter Taylor punted very well. Great tackling by Unaka, especially in the second half, against a Dangerous team.

i agree what where and how do you get more diversity.fill us in great krich.

2. QUOTE(SNOWMAN & FRED @ May 4 2007 - 10:54 AM) 826451559I believe in a post from way back you used the phrase 'silence is golden', but when being questioned in terms of possible transgressions, even the most innocent of men can appear guilty. It seems as though the Hampton community has decided to choose other means of defense, rather than face the facts. It's easier to point the finger at other schools and point out problems, than to denfend the actions of of multiple supposed leaders of the school and numerous infractions both academically and morally. Sometimes the more courageous man is the one who can stick out his chest, raise his chin, and say, ' I was wrong.' What bothers me, and most of the Hampton community, is that the so called leaders are trying to divert attention/cover up these obvious problems.

I agree

3. QUOTE(pujo @ Apr 23 2007 - 10:15 AM) 826443281Its all spectulation, Its not out of the question that he could be the head Coach at Hampton. He could go somewhere else or he could give up coaching all together. Then again,it could stay just like it is. There could also be some coaching changes at some of the other schools in the region.

with all thats going on at hampton no one would blame anyone for leaving.

4. QUOTE(pujo @ Apr 24 2007 - 10:38 AM) 826444047It really don't make any difference, Unaka gets more transfers than anyone. I hear they got some lineman from Elizabethton ,I think he wanted to go to Hampton ,but could not get eligable. Its a little different getting kids who move in from out of town and getting transfers from the same County.

he could get eligable at unaka but not hampton i don't follow aren't they in the same county please explain.

5. QUOTE(pujo @ Apr 23 2007 - 01:03 PM) 826443425The new kid seems to worring some people,,wait till they hear about the 6ft 7 lineman coming from Sullivan South or the big kid coming from Johnson Co. OOOPPS ,iALREADY LET THE CAT OUT OF THE BAG.

watch it puj with posts like these your going to lose some cred you almost sound like storm or one of the other kids on here.people like your insight.friendly advice, thats all.

6. QUOTE(pujo @ Apr 20 2007 - 02:46 PM) 826441928I think the balance is coming also, its all according to what happens in the coaching department. As far as Unaka and Cosby, I'd give the nod to Unaka. Cosby has to replace nearly all their skill positions. I wish it were at Unaka again this year,it was a fun game to watch last season.

coaching dept.????i also heard that there could be some changes. oh those nc hills and a raise(who would blame him)lunceford leaves after this year.mark it down.

7. QUOTE(HAMPTON @ Apr 19 2007 - 04:26 PM) 826441255Hey molesniper, I think that it will be a good game. But it will only be for Hampton and not so much for the rangers. It will be just every year they play. Hampton blows them off the field. Just like last year all I heard was that unaka was going to beat Hampton, In there dreams then Hampton came in there and beat them like a drum 47 to 0. My prediction for this years game will be something like 50 to 0. Halftime will be probably like 35 to 0. Which will end up being a pretty boring game but good social event.lol

hard work is hard and winning ain't easy.thers people in charge that knows this and are willing to do it.no made up numbers in the weight room no super transfer (which i still don't believe)to boost confidence. just hard work'and getting better.remember the game is played on the field not on the screen.

8. QUOTE(pujo @ Apr 18 2007 - 11:35 AM) 826440254I think most people in Roan Mt are being realistic, Cloudland has some good players.but expecting a 8 and 2 season is a little much.Roby is going to take alot of criticism, its the nature of the job. I talked with alot of the Cloudland faithful before last season and all of them seemed to think Cloudland would do what they did,and even though they expected it,they fired the Coach. It just goes to show ,people always want more. I hope Roby is thick skinned and hangs in there and builds a strong program. The kids are here, its just going to take some time.

pujo you are wise things are going to ballance out in this league it's going to come down to hard work and tallent one you can control the other you cain't based on that rate the conference.

9. QUOTE(buffcoach @ Apr 18 2007 - 10:13 AM) 826440190It is the truth he is a freshman that transfered from knox catholic.

He is already going to school here.

if he is a freshman and you are this up over him then your team is in bad shape.no name no nothing.your starting to reach for straws.should be a good game between unaka and hh should decide the con.lets just all be on the up and up about everything.don't stoop to storms level.

10. QUOTE(The_Alliance34 @ Apr 17 2007 - 04:05 PM) 826439584pretty good news, i hadnt heard of him until someone menitoned him earlier on here.

april fools joke.theres no one from knoxville going to transfer to hampton or any other area school.notice no mention of a name,no ones shure what pos.he plays, pay attention people.when it's b-ball time there will be a 6-7 transfer from texas.happens every year.pujo this is beneath you.

11. QUOTE(pujo @ Apr 10 2007 - 11:43 PM) 826434521Roan Mt loves football, these kids grew up watching teams that rarely ever lost. Alot of their dads were on these teams and its going to take alot to get football out Roan Mt.

this is why ned leaves if the etown job is offered,he won't compete for kids again.this time he's the older coach unlike the lunceford years.i know this is a football site, but this could impact the football.get in a young bball coach and he don't mind if the boys are in the weight room instead in the gym and so on.............small schools it's hard to have both.

12. QUOTE(cyclonedad @ Apr 10 2007 - 08:32 AM) 826433731Have I missed something?

The earlier post said Ned Smith slipped through our hands.Where did he go?

I am not knocking Smith, I dont know him but TA Dugger could have won the State in Cloudlands Division this year!

Eliz should look at more than the directors personal likes and dislikes and do whats best for our kids!

Len Dugger, Leon Tolley or Mark Mason would all be quality candidates!

smith will leave if the job is offered to him could be wrong.he is going to be competing for players with football, and yes he will have to compete with just 220 kids he won't have to as much at a bigger school.turb will compete for the kids.not sure ned is willing to do that again like with lunceford, and he shouldn't.it could get ugly this time.

13. QUOTE(crazzyness @ Apr 9 2007 - 10:52 AM) 826432913Your right. They might be even worse. Especially if they run a pass heavy offense like I've heard. If they do that, they'll be just like another Jellico, except with a better defense.

i think the run fun gun and spread shoot is a good o. don't you go changing on me (dum and dummer)or was it the (pet detective).remember keep your ear to the ground.

14. QUOTE(Storm55 @ Apr 4 2007 - 11:07 AM) 826429657You obviously have no clue. With hard work and positive attitudes from "everyone". I'm talking about so-called fans and parents, this team's morale will be at an all time high. We will not be down. Every game will be a dog fight.

and gosh darn it i'm good enough (saturday night live)reality is real and hard work is hard.keep your ear to the ground.

15. I've got complete faith in these boys. They have bled and sweat all winter. Talk may be cheap, but I'm going to keep telling everybody that they can gitrrrrr done.
run lassie run lassie go get help.(your going to need it) keep your ear to the ground and you can hear it comming .( with all due respect he's got a feel for these things)just ask pujo he knows what i'm talking about.
