Sigh.
Rough year... Loudon still has to play though - Polk's not just going to roll over and play dead.
Go Cats!

To all CAK fans and players:
I profusely apologize for last night's utter BS that I posted - not going to get into details but that it was just an epic bad day that should never have been expressed here on Coach T.
Again, I apologize. I wish the best of luck to the remaining teams in the playoffs.
Sincerely,
Dennis Price

Earhole CAK's quarterbacks a few times, shake them up, destroy their confidence, and Alcoa wins.
That's called keying on an opposing team's playmakers - also something most other teams do - go figure!
-
That's crap and you know it - Polk was whipped, they are not a passing team and everybody knows that too.
If somebody comes at your quarterback with ten men and throws him off balance - well, that's just playing the game to win - just like being up 35 points and running a fake punt at midfield, RIGHT?
Anyone gets hurt, well, that's in God's hands, now isn't it?
-
Here's hoping we can get 'em this time!
What I would do: 1st qtr, blitz the qb til he can't see straight anymore, do the same to the backup - rest of the game play as Alcoa does = Alcoa win.
Just saying.
-
I don't see anything wrong with what CAK did. It's not like they were trying to run up the score.......it's called retaining control of the football. What were they supposed to do, hand the ball over to Polk? Some of you people are waaaaaaay too sensitive!
Remember that when the next team keys on your quarterbacks and stomp them into the turf - just part of playing the game, right?
Let's see who is sensitive then.
GO ALCOA!
-
Beat the crap out of CAK, Alcoa! Beat the living crap out of those no-class punks!
Midfield, 35 points up, 4th and two, and they faked the punt....
GET THEM!
GO ALCOA!
-
Yup, Polk got monkey stomped 35-13 - but CAK will pay for that 4th and 2 midfield punt fake being 35 points up. Bad karma and lack of class.
Hope you're proud, CAK.
Good season, Polk! You still have your Pride!

Maybe lets try an on-side kick every time we kick off! What a call!what a call
Hint for Bledsoe County - Meigs cannot handle wet, cold balls flying at them two/three feet above the ground through three lines of receiving team players.
Polk's kickers are average at best and it was a cold nasty night.
Just saying....
Go Cats!

Your joking. Grider was only charging 6 dollars for regular games. This is a bunch of mess. I am going to call the school next week and ask them about this. Why is Grider charging more for these playoff games?
Polk only charges $5 for regular games - what's up with ya'll?
Anyway, not Grider's fault - TSSAA sets the price for playoff games, it's $8 a ticket for everybody.
-
Let me ask you a question. Is Grider going to be charging more to get into his stadium for this playoff game Friday?
$8 a ticket per TSSAA rules and accountants.
-
Kingston beat OS on pure luck and struggled with central.... Polk wins this one by a comfortable margin.
Comparinig this years polk team to last... There is no comparison. Last years team was exponentially better than this team. With the exception of akins, this wildcat squad is athletically challenged to put it mildly
Good enough to beat Signal Mountain.
Go CATS!
-
OCCUPY TSSAA!
Seriously though, same crap happened last year, somebody always gets screwed - deal with it and move on. Keep your outrage stoked and go after TSSAA after the playoffs. Just saying....

WE HAVE TO GET TRANSFERS TO POPULATE OUR SCHOOL...YOU GUYS HAVE A SET GEOGRAPHIC AREA THAT KIDS IN THAT "ZONE" HAVE TO COME TO YOUR SCHOOL. WE DON'T HAVE THAT LUXURY, PARENTS MUST CHOOSE TO SEND THEIR KID TO OUR SCHOOL. BY THE WAY, THIS YEARS SENIOR CLASS INCLUDES SEVERAL KIDS THAT HAVE BEEN AT GCA SINCE KINDERGARTEN.
That wasn't actually a shot at the privates (lol), more one at Signal Mountain - they don't have a zone either (not one that they recognize anyway) - I'm still laughing about the NALB (No Athlete Left Behind) program at SM.
And stop yelling in caps - too late at night to be disturbing the peace lol.

This is F.O.S. Jasper has the biggest school zone in Marion County followed by Whitwell. When K.C. and the Sunshine band were Coaching. Whitwell and SP had to watch the zone edges because there were kids at Jasper that could have been at 1 of the other 2 schools. The only reason you are even posting in this thread is you guys got your NALB (No Athlete Left Behind) program called on the carpet by that Childress man.
+1
That's just funny, don't care who you are!
No Athlete Left Behind.... Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahaaha!
-
Yeah just to bad they have to have transfers to do it. They can't do it with home grown kids. Always have and always will pull against all privates and Signal Mountain.

Yeehaw, I'm shocked Coach Davis and his staff haven't ask your opinion in regards to game preparation. You obviously know better than the staff what the team needs from week to week.
They have never not practiced as a team during the five years I've had boys on the team either.

Simple question about end of season banquets - tradition or conditional?

Out of curiosity, how many teams/schools did not have a banquet at the end of the season this past year?
Is there ever a reason not to have one? Say lack of money(obviously), other things, what?
