  1. I say Chester County just because I have seen how hard the guys have worked and how badly they want to make it to playoffs.

As far as Bolivar making us "miserable," I think the score this week will be much closer than, say, the Fayette-Ware or Middleton games were. Even if we lose, these boys will put up such a fight that they will NOT be coming home miserable. They will play hard and play fair, and they will be able to hold their heads up either way.

(I'm guessing you're a mom that's bitter about TCA losing to a team that they whipped last year? All I have to say is the Eagles were a better team this year, and you as a parent need to get over it and go support the TCA boys in the play-offs. That's just how sports go.)

I live in Bolivar and am a Bolivar fan. I know the way they played against Dyersburg, and am convinced Chester County will not play well against Bolivar. I am not bitter about the TCA loss to Chester County, just proud we were competitive. Chester is improved, but in my opinion, not improved enough to beat Bolivar. I did not intend to offend, just to respond to the topic.

  2. thank you very much for the explaination

makes for some very interesting first round matchups - Mckenzie coming to Memphis will be fun, and a TCA AFyette rematch in the second round would be interesting if both could win given all the chatter about officiating on one side and hurt players on the other

great year for 1A football in both regions

You are right - this is a great year for 1A football in region 7 and 8. Hate to see it change so much next year. I am sure all the teams have improved from the beginning of the season. Seems that most of the playoff matchups will be exciting games, regardless of how 7A pans out. Let's go get them, 8A!!!!

  3. Lexington Tigers will take the win tomorrow night in Jackson. The Tigers are bigger and faster then TCA.

True, but so were Manassus and JCS, and Middleton (bigger but not faster), and Chester County, and . . . . we were in all those games to the very end.

  4. The spectators should get a big bang for our buck, just as we have all season. Lexington will be motivated to win, based on last year's game, where TCA's subs played most of the 4th quarter. It will be another close one, but I expect TCA to pull it out. A home game for Trinity, and senior night. Good luck to both teams for a deep run in the playoffs.

  5. Josh LeNoir, Trinity Christian Kicker also plays fullback and linebacker

Between field goals, PATs and touchdowns, he has scored 104 points so far this season. Against Fayette Academy Friday night, he scored 4 touchdowns, kicked a 37 yd field goal (his long is 47), and kicked 5 PATs. His kick offs usually land in the end zone. Against JCS his 4th quarter kickoff went out of the end zone. That is after playing both ways all game.

  6. I agree. This season is flying by, way too fast. The TCA players and coaches are taking us for a fantastic ride!! Thanks, guys. Keep on working hard, playing your hearts out, and demonstrating your courage. The fans will be there for you.

  7. James King - RB - #8 - Manassas

    OC Brown - OT - #77 Manassas

    Anthony Dorsey - #12 - SS - Manassas

    Kendall Woodard - #15 - DE - Manassas

    Trinity Christian's Kicker

    Fayette Academy's defensive tackle - #53

    Halls' QB #12

    Trinty Christian's rec/corner - #12

Trinity's kicker is Josh LeNoir #20. Also plays linebacker and fullback

    #12 is Hagen Nelson

Need to consider #1 QB Jabriel Washington

  8. Middleton is definitely improved. They have gotten a strong middle school program going, too. Coach Murphy is taking the Grand Junction players home by bus after practice. That has made a major difference in their numbers Most did not start until school started. Once they know the sport better, if the coaches can keep them playing, Middleton will have a team.

If I am counting correctly, TCA has 8 players playing both ways, sometimes more.

  9. TCA played well, with a ton of heart and determination. Its tough to get far behind twice in the same game, but we almost pulled off the win. The time keeping issues certainly hurt us on the last drive. The bigger, deeper teams give us preparation for playoff games. And it sure did "feel" like the refs need some more training before they are grouped together for another game.

  10. Ok I know now. You should be playing with them. lol

tcaee: stockerd is right. You should be out there. You are an athlete, just bloomed a little later than some of the other guys. Remember Andrew Simmons? He was quarterback in 2003, the first time TCA beat USJ. Was helping the ATC/waterboys, and got talked into playing. He had not been very impressive up to that point, but wow was his senior year amazing. Did the same thing in basketball.

You are better than you think you are!!!

  11. Way to go TCA!! With most (8) of our players playing both ways, including the quarterback and the kicker, it is hard to hang in there against the deeper teams. But we did it this time!! Sure am proud of our young men, and their coaches!!

Hats off to JCS. Excellent sportsmanship. Lots of helping players up off the ground, pats on the back, etc. A fun game to watch.

  12. Look at how many passes your wide receivers dropped that should've been caught! You're a joke! I know I saw atleast 4 passes that should've been caught and were dropped. You say he had maybe 40 rushing yards! Once again you're a joke! He had 40 rushing yards on 1 play and that set up the last TD for TCA. If TCA did not have the player in Jabriel Washington, TCA would be bad this year. I said 3 or 4 TD passes. It should've been 4 but your WR's dropped the open pass.

GCPioneer, you are right on target. Thanks for coming to Jabriel's defense. He is amazing for a 15 year old 10th grader. He is not the college athlete people expect to see. I appreciate you buffering some of the pressure he is bound to be feeling. Without Jabriel, we would be back to 10 years ago, when we shot off fireworks if we scored a touchdown.
