stewart and company rolls this week.
-
where is my man grogan at these days? still in town?
-
also, it wouldn't hurt to try and better your mastery of the native tongue/written word, julio.

jimmy maynard is an opportunistic man, when it benefits him. some call that smart, others call it different things.
spite and envious comes to mind. that normally is the norm when speaking of someone who has seen success in todays world.

I don't find it hard to believe at all. I don't see McNeal leaving so he is the only other viable option....IMO
Jimmy Maynard only viable option. I think HE needs his head examined for even thinking about being interested in the job. And that's LHS only option. As if they could get a lot better, too funny. It's a dumpster fire! I got to see this to believe it.
McNeal would not leave FCA, but then again (as mentioned above) I've been surprised before.
I've heard Grooms would get the job because that is has waited their turn.
-
So who is the new coach?
-
Jimmy Maynord
is that true? you find that hard to believe?
-
No...smaller school
-
Why are they having a hard time keeping a coach?
Because they have unrealistic expectations to go along with extreme polotics.
-
Oh man...wow...heard a name today that I would've have never guessed Lebanon could snag. Still wondering why he would take the job after building such a great program where he is just down the road from Lebanon.

Didn't try to hide my cell number as you can see. Great P.I. work though. As for the huggs, I just don't know. I was busy congratulating the LA players and talking to Moffitt about Colby,s ankle.
Well I will say that will about do it for your short stint on coachT with your whopping 7 posts. Until of course you register for a new account under s new name. Which you will do because your not going to be able to criticize the coaches like you have at all the other coaches that your kids has had now that they know who you are. And you for sure won't be able to talk about any kids that should or shouldn't have the ball. So long MtnDewMan.

I hesatate to reply to this post. Given the fact that you trash us Hog-Eye fans and don't even support Smith Co. with their new coach. If you are gonna talk about us at least come to the game. Oh, by the way, if you follow Smith Co. and their new coach long enough, you will know exactly why he is no longer at LA. GO HOG-EYE!!
Ooh sounds juicy! Tell us why he is not at Livingston anymore. I was surprised when I first heard it. Who won the game tonight? What was the reception like for him?

Ya'll must have ya'll added a "South Cannon" There's not an SC on your schedule ya'll CAN beat. Ya'll don't play Scott Co., Sequatchie Co., Sevier Co., Statio Camp, Stewart Co.,or Sullivan Central. Smith Co. is on your schedule but I KNOW you cn't be talking about beating them.
The Bees have beat Monterey (with 2 wins against Clay and Pickett) York (with 2 wins againt Cannon and Cumberland) and Harriman (with 2 wins against Tellico Plains and Monterey). By Upperman standards being 3-3 at this point of the season is about as good as it gets.
No we got Smith County this week and we will win this year. It doesn't matter who the teams are that we beat. We were supposed to beat them. The Bees have a very good passing attack. This is not the same Upperman team that you played last year. A lot of the players that was playing on this year's team didn't even play last year. I do think it will be a shootout, I just don't see the Owls D slowing down the Upperman O.
-
This is the year that Upperman knocks off SC. Upperman has a very good passing game and SC's secondary is not very good. I look for the Bees to take advantage and win 28-24.
-
This is a very different SC team that LA will see Friday Night. SC teams in the past have always been able to run the ball, pretty much, at will. That's not quite the case now. Luckily enough, SC has the ability and weapons to move the chains without the run game. I would imagine anything is a possibility with SC's offense from this point forward. One thing that hasn't changed alot is SC's defense. SC won't give up 4 scores Julio.
That's what I heard about Smith County, that they didn't have a very strong running game. That and that they were soft, not very physical. I don't know, that's just the word. The skinny out on Livingston Academy is that they are very physical. I know Smith County's defense has always been pretty tough, but I don't see them winning a lot of games without being able to run the football. I think this week will prove that. Good luck to both teams and hope everyone stays injury free.
-
York is not what they were last year, but neither is Upperman. The results will be much different than last year's game.
York - 35
Upperman - 7
-
I figured this thread would blow up this week after the Owls close call last Friday.
Note to Owls: Football Games consist of 48 minutes...not "just" the last two minutes of each half.
Neither team is good enough to talk smack. That may have something to do with it. Having said that, I think LA takes a small step this week and knocks off a rival that has had their number the last decade.
Livingston Academy - 28
Smith County - 21
-
Clay County has a solid team this year. Kimes is doing a pretty good job getting it out of her players, even though they have talent already.
-
LA @ LA= Good Chance
LA @ Upperman=maybe
one of thoses two teams will be #1 and the other #2 in the district
I wouldn't be so sure about that. Livingston doesn't have 2nd place locked up. It's Upperman more than likely, and then it's a toss up in my opinion.
-
It was a great game. Congratulations Oak Ridge!

WHOS RECRUITING KAYCIE FERRIS?
I don't know about offers. I am sure the kid will get plenty of those, but I heard this past summer was a busy summer, with a new college being at practice about every other day. She is 6'8" so she is getting a lot of looks from everybody.

So this is what a State Championship does to a small town school's fans? Only 2 schools in the Upper Cumberland area have ever won a football State Championship. I know people don't want to hang their hat on what happened 3 years ago, but you might still be filling the ill effects of losing that great squad you all had. My guess is that a team like that doesn't surface that often in the small town of Livingston.

I think Lake County can pull out a win, but I also think Union City has to be favored in this one. If Union City comes out and plays their game, they should win. If not, like I said, Lake County can win this game.

Here is to hoping that Red Boiling Springs can end the drought. But for some reason, I just don't see it happening this week even though Gordonsville is winless this year.
Congrats BJ Colemon

to clarify, he didn't make the cut?
