QUOTE(WaCoJaCo @ Mar 2 2007 - 01:35 PM) 826396998I don't know why you singled out the DB-White Station game in you post. Its not just DB that gets waxed in the State Tournment. And its not just White Station that does the waxing. I can answer your stupid question though. If we had better coaching (remember George Pitts) in this area that "best team" would be coming from the East and not the West. I see you are satisified with losing in the first game. You must be a coach in Upper East Tennessee, or just a loser.
Alright then, Central makes it to State. Who do we play? Probably the best team in the state. Am I really that suprised that we get beat by them? No, because Wayne Chism will be the Freshman of the Year in the SEC, and Willie Kemp is doing great as Freshman at Memphis who is ranked #7. Tennessee is a good basketball state. Other states we could contend for State Championships. Better coaching will not beat future NBA players, plain and simple.

They need to move it to Freedom Hall. Central's game was filled and there should be much more people at this game.

QUOTE(WaCoJaCo @ Mar 2 2007 - 12:23 PM) 826396895Everybody up here should just quit while their ahead. Nobody remembers if you made it to the tourney 5 years from now. But everybody remembers if you get slaugherted in the first round. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Your an idiot. Do you think anyone on that DB team that got drilled by White Station is sad because they made it to State? No, they played against 5 D-1 players. They went down just like everyone else did. The way its set up, more than likely we will get the best team in the State first game. Whats the shame in losing to the best team first game?

I hate watching games at Viking Hall when I have a favorite team playing. I love having the Arby's there, but its hard to fit all the students in the small sections where they can stand.

Waco, if you can persuade Phil Jackson to come coach DB, I'm sure they would hire him. Morgan won State Championships, let that sit in your mind before you criticize him. Have you won a State Championship recently or in your playing days?

Can someone get this man a coaching job?

QUOTE(Hustle_Will_Win @ Feb 26 2007 - 01:22 PM) 826390108It's really hard to believe that Unicoi is only represented by one player sparingly on these lists after being extremely competitive/dominant in recent years. Maybe it's the emphasis on team ball or lack of a true collegiate prototype, but there are a few names on here that never played well against the Blue Devils. Here are a few names that haven't been mention and should be:
Tommy Short- Johnson County
Derrick Nave- Elizabethton
Jordan Simmons- Unicoi County
Sanchez Rutherford- Volunteer
Unicoi did not start dominating until Central left. Central and Unicoi had some great games though. Elizabethton's team with Vince Redd was awesome. Central had great teams those years but just could not stop Redd. But there were some very good teams those years, and in my mind better than AAA.

Greeneville better be prepared and keep Wiggins in the post or they might have some trouble.

Smith, in case you did not get the notice football ended a long time ago. I really don't understand how Volunteer fans can actually believe this is basketball. I can name about 3 or 4 guys whose sole purpose is to just play dirty. If you somehow miss their cheap shots, just look for the guy with his hands up.
-
Pretty sure I have heard coaches say those same words about teams playing TN High.
-
If Science Hill somehow loses to Volunteer, Greeneville will get the worst deal of anyone in District 2-AAA.

QUOTE(Smith25 @ Feb 20 2007 - 11:46 AM) 826380909Hey man i'm glad u got all this time to be on here crying about this and crying about that cause i figured i would let u know while u are on here crying about how u all have more talent and how we "murder" people well we are practicing STILL and STILL playing. For those of u that think coach whitt is telling us to kill well nope i've haven't missed a practice this year and i have yet to hear him say play dirt so u all keep thinking that but glad to know that u all are intrested in volunteer basketball enough to make our own thread you have a good day!!!
Isn't your number 21? Aren't you one of the key ones that are out to "murder" people?

QUOTE(BobSegar @ Feb 20 2007 - 12:26 PM) 826380975So, Wednesday night, not only will DB be fighting against the crowd, they will also, most likely, be fighting against the refs as well. I do not say this to start up a huge debate about refs favoring this team, or that team, but anyone from this area knows that these refs kiss TN High's ###### so they get asked to call the Arby's because they make some really, really good money doing so. By that, I do not mean they "cheat" for one team or another. However, I do know that at least 2 of the refs in this area traveled to the Bahamas with TN High earlier this year, and many more seem to "magically" always call the big games up in Bristol.
Looks like you DB fans are starting to catch on.

They will keep doing it as long as they are beating teams with more talent and getting away with it.
-
Sitting here listening to the DB-Volunteer game, it sounds as if its the Central-Volunteer games again. Let me guess, at the game right now, a DB player will get undercut and then you will see a Volunteer player throw his hands up. If it was one guy, it would be different. But it is the whole team. This has been going on for years, when is someone going to stop the cheap shots?
-
DB better bring out their football pads, Volunteer will be sure to make this a rough one.

QUOTE(Cougarfan22 @ Feb 18 2007 - 04:07 PM) 826377765Your obviously one of the rednecks that sit in our student section and make us look bad. Before you post why dont you find out a little bit about what has went on this year. Tn High hasnt been beaten by science hill that bad this year. At Tn high it went down until the buzzard. So instead of getting jealous that they beat us both times this year why not just go watch a good game. Atleast they are in regionals and we arent.
So Cap, you made a new screen name posing to be a Central fan? Seriously, if you were trying to fool us don't post about TN High and your boy everytime.

You’re as sure as a CLOWN could be expected to be ! Barnes started several games for the Patriots varsity last year. Why don’t you try to exercise just a little common sense before you start jawing on here.
hessforprez is right, barnes played jv last year
