1. Well it is really pointless to continue this, since everyone has an opinion and is entitled to their opinion. This much I know, unless you see the game in question you don't know; however given the number of competitive players on some of the High School teams last fall that had serious knee injuries, and seeing a player taken down from behind on several occasions, with no call being made, then giving the Coach a yellow card for questioning it, leads you to wonder. Anyhow, I respect that everyone has an opinion and they are entitled. Was just stating mine and my concerns. I will add I am not really concerned about my daughter being injured by a dirty play, because she knows enough about soccer to play smooth and with skill, but if they start getting physical well she can do that too.....

well then why all the complaining, will you do a soccer camp for my 10 year old girls team they need someone to coach them on the ways as you have coached your daughter

  2. I knew if I read enough of your posts I would find something I agreed with you on, lol. For the record, the other reason I am not reffing is I am eventually going to have to have knee surgery, and the swollen knee thing is not exciting the next day at work. However, I couldn't feel right about causing harm to a player because I couldn't keep up with the flow of the game. The game I was disgusted with had 2 refs and one of them was dire outta shape.

you try and find something wrong with what anyone says lol but have plenty of excuses on why you should do it

  3. "Ha Lopez, he is a good player, but i think he brings them down with his laziness and the way he screams at his teammate and Proctor who is he ?"

well ref you got it right i saw a inspired game from both sides with the exception of Lopez he did not work to get the ball nor play any defense at all he gave up on his team it was the most ridiculous showing of teamwork i have seen in years the seymour team hustled all over the field all night long playing with heart (except Lopez) congrats to alcoa on a game well played and good luck in the next round

how can a player with talent not give everything he has for his team awful just awful!

  4. QUOTE(BigG @ May 10 2007 - 08:18 PM) 826456836I heard that Mark was actually playing center mid... Don't know the details, so I am not going to speculate.

Sharrod at center mid now that makes no sense any details or are we just going to say no one on Carter could get him the ball which doesn't surprise me but like i have said all along stop Sharrod stop Carter congrats to Alcoa

  5. QUOTE(easttnref @ May 10 2007 - 09:03 PM) 826456904well i guess i got it all wrong good job alcoa you should get seymour pretty easy tommorow

    I say....

    3-1 Alcoa

    it will be alot closer than that! /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

  6. QUOTE(mrudder @ May 9 2007 - 03:12 PM) 826455639hey man are you cracking on us ..we cant help who we play... i guess you are mad because i didnt pick you all to win the disrtict but i feel alcoa has something to prove but good luck in your tournament i guess we will see who does the best in the next week or two

no i really was wondering i figure you all got GP easy

  7. QUOTE(mrudder @ May 9 2007 - 02:59 PM) 826455633i think seymour should handle gibbs easily and the other with be a fantastic game..my predictions

    Seymour 5 Gibbs 0

    Alcoa 4 Carter 3

that will leave a good championship game and i think Alcoa will take it 2-1...but good luck to all teams this disrtict is anyones to win

hey rudder when do you all play a real team again anyone tought in the region?

  8. QUOTE(Elmer @ May 9 2007 - 09:23 AM) 826455359Regardless of the district seeding, I think Alcoa is the best team out of the 3. Coach Gorman has done a fantastic job in scheduling tough opponents, as well as winning some that no one gave them a chance in doing (Oak Ridge). Now saying that, some of the outcomes of their games are a bit suprising. I would not have expected them to lose to Carter in season, or to tie Seymour, but they did. Alcoa has the best keeper of the bunch, but he will be sorely matched if his defense doesn't keep Mark from shooting.

They are doing themselves no favors in talking smack on Coach T. I know you are trying to defend the young man who held out his jersey to Carter's bench, but imagine if Mark did that to your bench after he scored. I think you would be spitting mad about that! Let your game do the talking.

IF Carter beats Alcoa tonight (which I don't think will happen) it will be a very rough final with Carter and Seymour. I hope that you have good refs lined up. Good luck to all teams involved.

Obviously Alcoa is not the best team out of the three they are the third seed in the district but i agree they are the most tested team by far Alcoa is also the only one of the three with a real head soccer coach that knows the game and has been with them a couple of years that is an advantage as well but this new assistant coach Seymour has is making the boys play hard and together I think i can say with confidence that this isn't the same Seymour team that I have been watching the last couple of years they are playing the best they ever have!

Congrats Boys and Good Luck you will need it!

  9. QUOTE(sdhsdefender14 @ May 8 2007 - 07:24 AM) 826454217No player in high school should ever do something like that. that is very classless to say the least. You have it all wrong. The professionals, that you are talking about on tv, never run over to the opposing teams bench and pull their jersey up and show it to the coachs or players. If they do that at all, they go to a corner flag and pull it up to their fans. Never should a high school player ever do this to an opposing team. Very classless on Seymour's part and Chase Parrotts part. I understand getting caught up in the moment but I mean come on. Chase is supposed to be the captain of the team. Show some leadership. You can argue that he was being yelled the entire game but I've personnally been there too. Its not hard to keep your composure. You just block it out. Its not hard. But you say that Carter is very classless, I would consider Seymour to be the same.

OK wiseguy he did not do it to the bench he did it ti the fans the bench was just in front and he did it celebrating with his teammates not just by himself the carter coach gave himself to much credit thinking it was aimed at him or his parents it was aimed at the carter fans i guess

As far as never should do it, it was the game winning goal in injury time probably the most important goal of Parrott's career thus far so excitment did get the best of him but i am sure his coaches have gotten him under control since the incident but with the excitement and all i just don't think it was the worst thing in the world

and SDHS defender i think you might be a bit sore about the tie with seymour still

  10. QUOTE(BigG @ May 7 2007 - 05:42 AM) 826453247If I were Carter's coach, I would be hitting the print button right about now, and posting this all around the locker room. (Like there isn't enough "bad blood" between these two teams aready!!!)

well it is true carter lost to

    seymour 3-2

    halls 4-2

    sevier county 2-1

every other team on their schedule they won by three goals or more

    Cocke 9-0

    Cosby 7-0

    A-E 8-0

    Anderson 5-0

    Fulton 5-0

    Heritage 6-0

    Grace 10-0

    Gibbs 3-0

    Harriman 9-0

except alcoa they won 2-1 and that is there only big game win of the season

  11. QUOTE(gchunn @ May 6 2007 - 09:19 PM) 826453173I have seen the Carter team, and they actually start 11 players.

Thanks, I could not agree with you more!

with the exception of alcoa carter lost to every quality team they played and yes carter does have 11 starters but only one of them matters

  12. QUOTE(BigG @ May 5 2007 - 01:09 PM) 826452453Looks like a possible Alcoa vs. Carter semi final... Should be a great one if it happens!

they stop Sharrod they win good luck to both teams though

  13. QUOTE(mrudder @ May 5 2007 - 07:47 AM) 826452317yea your candle may burn a little brighter but honestly outside of your 3-2 win against carter...name one even decent team that you all have defeated this year...but i will give you credit you all arent to bad at getting a tie in games you should lose

Gibbs, William Blount and tied sevier county and south doyle and alcoa ties are not victories but are better than a loss

which i believe you all did lose to both sevier county and south doyle

pigeon forge lost to every quality opponent it faced but did beat seymour but i have said all along seymour has been a different team since that game the results speak for themself

    pigeon forge 9-6

    Seymour 9-1-4

  14. QUOTE(ihavenofriendzz @ May 4 2007 - 05:48 PM) 826451955Is Moser good? I heard something about him but I don't think I have ever seen him... ever.

Moser is a great player and has been playing with the boys from Farrgut and he is sorely missed from Seymour I would consider him a Good posession forward not sure about wing is a bit lasy

  15. QUOTE(BigG @ May 4 2007 - 08:09 PM) 826452064What goalie "situation"?

well after the tournament in nashville they said they lost cause their keeper got put out and then again during the SD game he was out as well so i would say they have a keeper issue

  16. QUOTE(sdhsdefender14 @ May 4 2007 - 01:27 PM) 826451785you didnt have anyone missing. i talked to spencer proctor during the game and he said they didnt have any missing. and come on. how can you say seymour dominated the game with their great defense. the ref was calling offsides when he was looking the total opposite way.

mmm... that is a new excuse anymore come on fire away ?

  17. QUOTE(FutbolMan @ May 4 2007 - 01:11 PM) 826451771hey you seymour jv player. actually no we didnt have all our players. one of our starting defenders was out. then we played a man down for about 20 minutes b/c of the terrible red card call. so actually you dont know what the heck your talking about.

well seymour had one of their starting defenders out as well not to mention a forward so any more excuses

and the red card was right on Brent Bell even said he wasn't smart in his challange and he had been doing things like that all year and so i do know what i am talking about im a genius with a insight from one of your coaches

QUOTE(dins8 @ May 4 2007 - 01:08 PM) 826451769Seymour was not one of the teams that I was referring to as a cupcake. I would never be specific about a team that I think is a "cupcake." I was just saying that I thought SD should have had an easier time with Seymour.

    No offense to either team.

    no offense taken

  18. SD has been demolishing cupcakes, and they have trouble putting away teams they should beat (Seymour).

I wouldn't consider Seymour a cupcake SD had all their players dominated the first half but couldn't get past a great seymour defense and in the second seymour dominated and just couldn't finish

  19. QUOTE(easttnref @ May 4 2007 - 07:19 AM) 826451466AAA district 2

    Morristown West and Greenville

    AAA district 3

    West and Oakridge

    AAA district 4

    Bearden and Farragut

    AA district 2

    Pigeon Forge and Chuckey Doak

    AA district 3

    Seymour and Alcoa

    AA district 4

    Catholic and CAK

i think this is pretty accurate i think AAA district 4 and AA district 3 are going to be some cloase ones to watch but kingston could scare cak or catholic as well but they still should be the favorites
