If I’m not mistaken, Wartburg will be choosing a coach on May 11.

Coalfield WOULD not compete in region 2 AA like they do in Single a. There is way to much BIG talent in Region 2aa. Alcoa has kids going D1 every year, the same goes with all the other teams in Region 2 AA. Coalfield would be in Wartburg’s situation if they were in a league like that. Hampton was in 2aa and usually won first place in the region 1 when they was in double aa, and region 2’s fourth place team would destroy them.

Well there is a huge difference between Knox Catholic and Scott County. Knox Catholic is a top 10 team in 3a every year. So yeah there is a difference in Scott County and Knox Catholic.

Personally I don’t think he will get hired as the head coach. I can’t really see him coaching in Morgan County.

Wartburg has alot of young talent right now. They will return to form. Just give it some time.

I agree with Gibson, Wartburg has a long way to go. Wartburg has a very talented team though. With a new coach, a new system. Maybe they can pull it off.

Wartburg will rebuild its program back to where it was in the early 2000's. And when the community gets behind the bulldogs 100 percent, the sky is the limit. Wartburg has allot of young talent coming up, Trout is doing a great job with the middle school, now all we need is our high school program to be successful again.

Wartburg will support a new coach, and get him the supplies he needs. Wartburg needs to find a young man who will turn this program around. It wont be easy, but jobs like this build careers!

Not using County expenses’, it will be just like a donation.. And I know for a fact that the Board and whom ever else will support this! Just like Coalfield is taking all the donations for the new field house/weight room, we are taking them for a coach! Coalfield has been under a close watch for many years for different reasons, Recruiting, steroids, and what ever else. Just like last year they had one guy test positive for steroids and drugs… He shouldn’t been aloud to even be on the sidelines. I think Mr. Cyjacket needs to start focusing on drugs in schools and things in that nature instead of getting all worked up over football… What a Commissioner coalfield has /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" !

I don’t know why CYJACKET can’t be happy that Wartburg is showing some support for its school and sports? That’s pretty sad that a county commissioner says the things that he says and is so shoved up Coalfields butt its sad! People from Wartburg support Coalfield football, why can they support Wartburg? Cyjacket shows the kind of ignorance that will keep Morgan County “Inside the Box”… If Wartburg can get a good coach, get some money behind him, there is no limit to what they can do… Maybe then people like Cyjacket can then support Wartburg when they start Winning! And no one is saying that Larry Davis was a “BAD” person, because he was as good as they come. But when he had teams like the 2003 squad that should have won region championships and went DEEP in the playoffs, and went 5-5… That’s not what we are looking for, After 2003 Larry went, 4-27… Time for a change…. And I think its time for a change in the county commission, to get mindless, self center, fools out of office!

It seems like CrY JACKET would try and do everything to keep Wartburg on the bottom!

I’ve heard a lot of rumors that they are trying to get Jay Moore back in the Burg. Who had won a state championship last year at Webb.

It is going to take a lot for the bulldogs to even have a roster of even 25 in 2007, Wartburg needs some help. They don’t know who there coach is, they don’t have to work out, don’t have to run.
