Congrats to all the young ladies named.
However...
The name "Laquinta Jefferson" seemed to be missing off the AAA list.
Is that a misprint or are 10th graders not eligible?
she made on the third team

Yep. I have heard that LaTeria Owens quit.
What happen? She must did something very, very, bad to be put off the team?

Ezell is that good. It took a bad call to help Hillsboro pull this one out. A foul was called on Ezell for being 5 feet from a Hillsboro player that fell down. I guess they thought she knocked her down. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> They hit two free throws to go up by one. Ezell had a chance to win but threw the ball away. Anyway it was a great game.
Ezell Harding is a good team that basically depends on winning by shooting 3 pointers. They had no post players score in the paint only on rebounds. It was a foul on Ezell when #42 stole the ball and Ezell player tripped her from keeping #42 scoring easy two points. It may look like #42 fell down but Ezell player tripped her. Anyway it was a good game.

coach gill outsmarts another one - did he use any special strategy?
Good strategy, Coach McGill just have girls who can play team basketball. Arguable a better team since Mooney has played because they are not depending on one player.
Teams don't know who to defend.

Hillsboro won at Mt. Juliet last night 50-45, breaking Mt. Juliet's 60-something home game winning streak. I have not seen much, if any, coverage on this event. I would have thought that a lot of people would have already posted on CoachT and/or there would be some newspaper coverage...am I missing something?
Congrats, Hillsboro! That is a great win against a very good Mt. Juliet team.
It's ashamed that the surrounding counties does not give any metro schools basketball programs any respect. Everybody knew about the game because it was posted in the Tennessean website/newspaper and CoachT website. Everybody thought that they were to easily defeat the Burros due to Mt.Juliet having played and defeated other Metro teams. Hillsboro has proven everybody wrong (this first round) and will continue to do so. Keep building on your success Burros I believe the non-believers are now taking a second look when that dominant green/white jersey (team) enters the gym. Continue to WIN and the word for your team and other metro schools will demand
R E S P E C T ??“ THEY WILL NEED TO CONTINUE TO BUILD AND GET READY TO CHALLEGE AND WIN THE STATE TITLE. ALL THE WAY BURROS??¦. Bring it to Nashville. This is the best chance we have had in a long time. METRO come support the Burros, the girls will need you for every possession. Go Burros don??™t lose focus!!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Harpeth High School has three outstanding guards, two that are seniors. Mandy Mendenhall and Salem Richardson are the seniors and they have a junior in Holli Flippo that is awesome.
Keisha Crouch from Hillsboro is the best ball handler I have seen so far this year. She just a freshman that is awesome. Need to watch:thumb:

Does anybody knows the top teams going to be this year in Metro?

IN METRO NASHVILLE
Lakeisha Crowder - Hillsboro; should start or be 6th man on a squad more loaded than last year.
Netanya Eubanks - McGavock; May not get much time behind her 6'2 Florida bound cousin Madu, but at 6'2 can fill in when needed.
Tenisha Stinson- McGavock;guard who can score from the outside or slash to the basket and defends well on the perimeter.Should be in the top eight rotation on one of the top teams in the midstate area.
