  1. QUOTE(pcbobcats1 @ Jan 20 2007 - 10:48 PM) 826339533[/snapback]

Anyone at this game saw that Temple got away with a lot of fouls and had the best of the officiating by far. Gosh, I guess in 7A Temple would only be #3 or #4. PC lost to Jackson Co. by 1 point back when Pickett wasn't playing anywhere near as well as they are now. Anyway, PC may still be #2 on our district, but PC proved tonight they are better than Temple! There were more fans at the game from both Celina and Van Buren Co. than from Temple! I saw 5 fans from Temple! Absolutely NO fan support from Temple. When PC went to Temple, our fans filled half the gym and had as many fans there as Temple. Maybe since Temple has no fan support they couldn't get up for the game. Great to see the VB fans at the game...former VB players who always go to the top games. Too bad the PC band wasn't there tonight because Temple didn't get to see the usual PC atmosphere.

You were watchin a different game than the rest of us. The officiating was horrible!! The foul count was not even close you IDIOT! They gave Skogen 3 fouls early so he had to sit and then gave him his fourth right away, fouled Smith out early!! Did Pickett Kuntry get beat by that Jackson team on the road or at home? If they called like that up there every nite no one would win your best players sit and watch the game from there chairs just like the rest of us, just crazyyyyyyy!! Anyways ya'll gonna git yours when you come to Chatt Town gooo Blue DemonDogs or whatever your name is i hope yall win that region up there and Pickett Kuntry comes to Chatt Town yall goin down!

  2. This was the worst officiated game i have ever seen!!!! They didn't even let our players play the game this was INSANE!!!!!! I hope you guyz get to make a trip down to Chatt town again because the BIG RED MACHINE will POUND YOU AT OUR HOUSE!!!! Like that other guy said ya'll aint even first in your OWN district so you can't be #1 at ANYTHING!!!

  3. Refs where clearly on Jackson's side, but thats not excuse for P.C. They played like crap the first quarter, only scoring 5 points, and when they started making the run and got up by one, I think gibson breaking his collar bone took the wind right out of their sails. Pickett hasn't looked like the same team from last year. They are coming out cold and soft in the first half. Jacob Wright is gonna have to start taking more shots and take the game over early instead of waiting til the 2nd half to turn it up a notch. T.C. needs to step it up as well. As for the call, Cassidy took the first shot, he was at the other end of the court when 31 got fouled, he knew he wasn't supposed to be on the line. Clearly planned by someone on J.C. but the game is done with and it was a nice win by J.C. I'd hate to be them at their place if Pickett Co. ever decides to come and play four quarters.

Did they quit playing after 3 quarters? ;) If ya'll think that team was good wait till the Big Red Machine from Temple rolls in on January 20th!!!! Two words for ya,

    SETH SKOGEN!

  4. Ooltewah beat East Ridge tonight 57-52, but it said Jurick did not play because he was suspended from school. He seems to have some off the court issues; I know he got suspended last year and gets his fair share of technical fouls on the court. When will he be back playing for East Ridge?

This guys a head case and always has been. If he wasn't a good player they would have kicked him out of the school a long time ago. Its ridiculous the things atheletes get away with if they can bounce a ball or throw one. As for "WHO'S BETTER" two words for ya SETH SKOGEN!!!!!!! end of discussion.

  5. Grace Baptist takes on two of 7A's top teams this weekend in two HOF games. Grace will finish a distant second to our mighty Temple Crusaders this year but they will for sure crush the weak 7A teams that will be little more than sacrificial lambs for Temple and either Grace or CSAS in this years substate games. Whats everyones thoughts on how bad the win will be over Clarkrange and Jackson County? I heard Clarkrange was picked second or third up there with Jackson County being the other "decent" team. Oh and don't think i have forgotten about Thanksgiving turkey dinner at Pickett Co. this year. Temple will clean their clocks and complete the sweep AT PICKETT CO.!!! :thumb:

  6. Hmmm.... You have a point there. Temple has to play Clay - again.

I see Picket Co. winning the region but if they finish second it wouldn't be to Clay Co. it would be to Jackson Co. They are the only team in that region that will give Pickett a loss in the district but it won't matter as the two teams coming out of our region down here, whether it be Grace, CSAS, or Temple will go to the state. I don't see any team up there beating the teams down here but stranger things have happened. Temple plays AT Pickett Co. the day after Thanksgiving so we'll see!

  7. These two teams are picked second in their perspective districts in the preseason so how does everyone think this one will go? I see Grace winning big especially with their new 6'8 guy! What does Jackson County have? Any size? Who are their main players?

  8. Wow. Has the season started yet? Temple has already been pencil'd as the State Champs? I know we play great ball in East Tennessee, but plenty of the same people have picked Temple to win it all every year the past seven years. Let's all keep in mind they still play basketball at GRACE BAPTIST ACADEMY, Unaka, Cosby, East Robertson, Middleton, Union City, Lake Co., Middle College, and Humboldt. Temple's head was effectively cut off this off season with the departure of Chattanooga's most decorated small school coach Dan Wadley.

Did Grace recruit this big kid, or did his family realize that they don't really churn out good basketball talent at Berean? That's right, no link when you spell out Berean; Berean is a TAACS school. Raise your hand if you know what TAACS stands for. Someone call me out on this one, but didn't the Hixson coach catch wind of this kid leaving and try and woo him to the Wildcats? Grace picked up some kids in the off-season because the pedigree of the program looks good and its a good school in a good location. Forget about the athletics for a minute, Grace is a school where God is taken first and that's the real reason most kids go there. Ok, nuff said. Hopefully C-Mac and Unknown 6'8' Big Man can learn to stay in the paint and play volleyball among the munchkins guarding them.

Don't rule out Coach Dragoo and the Boys from 3rd Street. They could play last year and since Martell Powell only played when he felt like it, they should pretty much be the same team as last year.

No they recruited him, nice try on the verbage there but no they recruited him! :)

  9. You obviously arent very educated with grace, they have reloaded quite nicely. Their backcourt will be young, but very talented and will get much better as the year goes on. Add that with the most size in the front court in class A, you atleast are a region contender.

I dont know who will win when this three teams play its too early to tell, I just wouldnt be suprised if there was some spilts in the regular season series. All three teams have great home atmospheres where it is hard to go in and win.

"Reloaded quite nicely"?? Didn't you mean to say "RECRUITED quite nicely"?? After all this kid didn't come from Grace's jr high did he?? Isn't he a sophomore? :thumb:
