  1. Hey Chattdaddy,

If you knew what I knew, your opinion would likely change.

Magician - Excuse the over zealous parent. I think most schools have one from time to time.

I have a child that left ECS Volleyball last year but I am still involved with the school. Your comment puzzles me and I can't let your irresponsible comment go unchallenged. Big Daddy and probably others at Hutch will tell you how to contact me. If this is true, contact me. If it exist, we would be most interested in correcting a situation of this magnitude.

  2. Get ready ECS, the pain is about to begin. Hutch will beat you like a drum. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

To be so cocky AND wrong - That's pain! Bless your heart!!

  3. Can't wait to meet you someday soon. Thank you for the compliments. Sure I am excited for BEKAH. But, I would also be excited for any player. I hope you can some by Brentwood for the tournament and say hello.

Big Daddy - 31 for Bekah - Not bad for a girl! - Tell her Daddy T is proud of her - A from MSU says hi - see you at the ECS Hutch match

  4. Hailey Wiggins- Trevecca

I believe the Swindell girl is going to MS State?

Also the Chattanooga Teams have a Tennessee-Georgia match that may keep some of the Chatt girls from wanting to participate in another event.

For middle T this age group has always been a little thin compared to other years. We used to get more girls from Memphis, but this may be a down year for them in respect to Seniors. I agree I wish some DB girls had come ... maybe travel issues don't know.

It will be a fun weekend for the ones chosen who agreed to come. See you Saturday at Centennial.

Amber Turner (West A-AA Setter) has signed with Freed Hardeman

  5. So who does pick the all tourney team. do the coaches not have input? does nobody out of top 3 teams get a look. what if a girl had a great semi-final but lost. no chance for all-tourney??

Maybe they should change the name to "Partial Tournament Team"???

  6. If her team did not place in the top four then that would be why. The winning team gets 3 people, followed by second with 2, and 3rd with one.

So there is a team quota for an all-state team of individuals??? If true, that explains something for me.

  7. You are correct sir..that is per match. I believe the high is 28 for the season although there is a 5 game match that is being double checked against video that may be higher. I can say that during ONE GAME earlier in the year, she did register 12 consecutive kills against Briarcrest.

She is a good player, that is not debatable. However, like I mentioned earlier, the State boasts a lot of good players and hopefully the cream will rise to the top this week and provide us with some spectacular moments

It will be fun to see the great players we have from ACROSS the state this week. I will add that this young lady is real. She played on our 17 elite team when she was 14. That year in Louisville in the open division, I saw her take a screamer to the face about 12 feet off the net, she got up, pointed at the hitter and invited her to come again. She "ain't skeerd" to compete against anyone - period. Check me on this but I believe she set the state record for most kills in a match last year - taking it up from 32 to 42??? She also is one of the best I have seen anywhere in the country at hitting around a block.

  8. Nice try that was about as stupid as st picking Ensworth over Hutch... I missed one for the record but welcome all 4 teams to the state. It IS a great week and these kids are deserving of accolades not silly stupid predictions from biased folks. having said that xcal good luck and welcome to the big dance. Having been there for the past 10 years it IS a blast and nerve wracking. The new format will make it even harder>>>>>

PS MS State coach is a woman!!!

p.s. Yes, the head coach is a woman but the coach at MS State that does all the recruiting is a man. And why does it matter if Swindell is a walk on or a full ride player or if she had signed or not? The kid was still asked to play at an SEC school and thats more than anybody I have heard of in the state of TN. Seems like you would expect an SEC player to come out of the East, not the West, with the way all the East people are talking about their girls... I just cant wait to see the famous East region in action- The word is on Coach T that theyre something else but whose word it is, who knows? I guess we'll see on Wednesday, but ill be betting on ECS and Hutchison.

  9. Where did ECS come from? They beat Bartlett, Whitehaven, Liberty, St. Agnes, Arlington, and Houston en route to winning their pool the first day and the second day. They looked mentally tired when they lost in 3 to Briarcest in the semifinals of the gold bracket. Led by Senior Aynne Swindell, Junior Morgan Clay, Sophomore setter Kristen Spink, and Freshman phenom Meredith Wright this weekend, this team surprised everyone.

  10. Who are the top college recruits this year and who are the schools recruiting them??

In West Tennessee - Jackson area: Cassidy Hawkins from Lexington, Caroline Robbins from Liberty, & Krista Hutchison from Trinity (I believe these are all seniors).

Memphis area: Kelsey Green from St. Agnes. Kristen Evans from Arlington has committed to play for Trevecca. Aynne Swindell from ECS has committed to play for Mississippi State.

Next year for sure Bekah Smith from Hutchison. She is a top recruit in the country.

  11. Hi all,

It has been six months since I have visited the site. I was very excited to see the photography site. I want to make sure I do this the correct way but I would love to offer any advice concerning photography, cameras, lenses, etc. (especially volleyball) I have my own PT business focused on volleyball photography. I have logged over 18,000 shots in the last year, wasted alot of money buying the wrong equipment, and would have loved to have an experience person guide me initially. I will be perusing the site on a regular basis now that I know it is here and hopefully I can help someone avoid the mistakes I made.

    Have a super day!

  12. Congratulations to Notre Dame for their win. The great thing about it is they were the best team, have the team trophy, and the process worked.

Concerning the "All Tournament Teams", the process doesn't work. If you are one of the best in the tournament, you aren't guaranteed a spot. If these kids are the best, they should expect the award. It isn't that they are in the wrong sport, it is that those governing the sport are wrong on this matter.

  13. I am concerned that the State and the Regional "All Tournament Teams" do not accomplish the purpose stated by the name of the award. It is certainly a fact that some of the best players in Tennessee do not have the opportunity to play for a "team" that is good enough to be one of the final four in the region or state tournament. The 1st and 2nd team award idea certainly give these kids a better chance to be named to a more prestigious award but even that idea will not identify the best players to the 1st team because the first qualification is still the "team" has to be good enough to be in the final four. They need to either change the vote to truly reflect the best players in the tournament or rename it to the Final Four Team.

    My two cents.
