  1. bulldogsalltheway, somebody needs to tell Cookeville and a couple of other places about the pay to park thing then because I have had to pay to park, and it was NOT a donation, at a couple of places.

I said I believe that was a rule, but I wasn't sure. I just went through the TSSAA handbook, and googled it to be sure and it looks like I am wrong on my assumption. According to many articles I have found there are tons of schools around TN that charge for parking, which I think should be optional. If you have to pay 8 dollars to get into a playoff game, and an additional 3 or 4 to park, that's too much! I have never paid at Cookeville, I pull up and they ask for the $$ and I refuse, tell them I am with the team and that if the buses didn't have to pay then neither am I.... has worked so far....

If they would make it optional like R'dale does then I would be more willing to pay it, but if it isn't something the TSSAA requires then there is no reason a school should be allowed to.

    Good luck tonight Blaze!!!!!!

  2. Heard Blackman girls basketball coach was pulled into office and told not to in any form or fashion make coach Shads daughter mad. :thumb: Also this move just in time for MTSU coaches son (QB) to be a Soph. :thumb:

First off, what the crap does this have to do with Siegel looking for a new football coach!! Secondly, you can talk your Dumb a** crap on here about my dad all you want to, but you want to start B.S about my 15 year old sister, who has done NOTHING to you, and had to QUIT Basketball because she broke her back last Summer and had knee surgery this past fall?!?!?! What is wrong with you? What run out of things to say about Philip so you start on his daughter???? Give me a break, you are a pathetic waste of a human being, and don't deserve the air God provides you to breath.... What a joke! Come back when you have something to talk about that is actually revelant to the title and something that isn't a LOAD OF B.S.!

MY2CENTS...you've lost all sense with this post...!

No I didn't lose any sense at all, AS I SAID, you can make negitive comments about Philip all day long, I don't care, but you start dragging an innocent young girl into it and making comments about her when your comments have NOTHING to do with the subject at hand, I have a problem with that. Family is family and I'm sure if someone got on here and started running their mouth about any of your boys you would have a problem with it as well. Probably wouldn't fly off the handle like I did, but that's where my neck and your neck differ in color.... You talk about my dad and my neck's a little red, you talk about my sisters or my mother and my neck gets crimson... so thanks for your "2CENTS" glad to see you back up your own on here.........

  3. I hear that Blackman plans on charging folks to park? I know at Riverdale the ROTC asks for a $1 donation but it is just that, a request for a donation. I hear Blackman is actually going to charge people to park - any truth to these rumors?

I'm not sure about the parking, but I did hear today that almost all pre-sale seating was sold out. It looks if you have not gotten your advanced seating you will be standing by the fence. I think the bottom three rows of the visitor side was left, but not sure.

I can assure you, that Blackman is not going to charge for parking. Also, Blackman doesn't have reserved seating.

If I am remembering correctly, T$$AA prohibits schools from charging to park at any athletic event. You can ask for donations (like R'dale does) but you cannot "make" ppl pay. I'm sure the T$$AA would let schools do this if they could figure out a way to get a piece of the action ($$$$)

  5.

Name is Mike Skidmore and I have scraped better off my shoe! Not hard to spot. 6'4" and 220 pounds and usually have a FBI hat on that I got while teaching their snipers.

As to what I usually do I got to watch my son all day as he was loading ambulances at Ft Hood on both Fox and CNN. He was on the reaction team that went in with the SWAT team from Kileen.

Now that I am not hid you want to actually tell folks yours? I thought not! I would write what I really feel but it is not allowed on this family board.

;So what your saying is your now a pretender, wearing a hat that you no longer have a connection too and living your life through your son....Your pathetic!! I spent 14years in the Marines and two tours in Iraq...Does that make me Bad? No, it makes me respectful and I dont go around spouting my acheivements!! Ive raised two sons who both went on to play Division 1 Football, Florida and Mississippi State. Does that make me a super father, No, It makes me proud, just as I am proud of my Warriors!!! By the way, Im 6ft 2 and weigh 230 and all that makes me is bigger than you!!!

Ummm you just spouted your acheivements "I spent 14 years in the Marines and two tours in Iraq" and if your 6'2" 230lbs that just makes you shorter and heavier.... Another question aren't Marines taught discipline and respect and all the quailities of a decent American? With that said, if YOU really ARE a Marine then you sir are the pathetic one. LOD and I have disagreed more than once however you have no right to make personal attacks even if they are verbal against him. I wish CoachT would ban you from the website. You threatened PBD (and yes that's EXACTLY what you did, TWICE) and now you verbally attack LOD?!?!?! Seriously if this is the kind of person you are then you are a POOR representation of what a TRUE Marine is. And I can also tell you from experience when you get into the law enforcement line of work, no matter WHAT area, local, FBI, CIA, etc. if you retire or get out you are ALWAYS STILL A PART OF IT! Kinda like ppl who are REALLY Marines.... So who's the pretender now? Seems to me LOD came right out and told you everything about him, so not only are YOU a pretender you are also STILL HIDING! :roflol:

  6. Fried frog legs are excellant eating. One of the first dates I took my wife on was a frog gigging expedition. Found out a couple of very important things on that date. One she had a sense of humor and was not scared of ANYTHING. And secondly the fact she could and WOULD cook any wild game I brought home!

Well that's great! The most "wild" I will go is squid..... I have an aunt who loves to eat monkey brians, does that count? (Another GROSS on my list!)

  7. Best of luck to the Blaze this week. Shame we all got stuck in the same quadrant.

I think this whole playoff system is a joke.... there is one team that has a record of 1-9 and two teams that have records of 2-8, that doesn't include the teams that have 3-7!!! It is NOT fair to teams, like Smyrna who have better records being left out while teams who should probably be looking for all new coaches are getting to go to the playoffs......

  8. Don't ever apologize for getting on here and saying what you have to say, no one else from ANY other team does so why not be proud and show it!!! Had a blast cheering with you and your wife last night, I thought it was pretty cool, you on my left, your wife behind me, Mr. Donkey and Mykidsdad infront, and Coach Macs wife on my right, I must say I was surrounded by some pretty great ppl at the game and can't WAIT to be with you guys this Friday at home!!! We need to get together and figure out a way for all of us to sit together so we can have one mass group of cheerers (word?) :thumb:

Would love for all of us to find a way to sit together maybe around the 50 yrd line say half to 3/4 of the way up so we can all have a great view. We had a blast with all of you and will be looking forward to many more 8-)

Cindy and I sit about half way up right on the 50 below the press box, I usually get there around 7 due to flying home from work in N'ville, picking up kids, and taking them to the sitters, going home, change, and fly as fast as I can to the game. LOL Let me know how many ppl you will have with you and I'll ask Cindy to save more seats. She gets there early (usually) and hopefully she can make room for our clan! LOL since everyone on here knows me there's no reason to hide it but you can email me at work abarrett@shoneys.com so we can avoid filling up the website with our planning 8-)

  9. I dont nessicarilly (sp?) think that being cocky is a bad thing. Blackman has a right to be a little bit cocky becasue of the regular season preformance. They have had reasons all through out the year to be cocky but pulled it together to play some not-so-good teams and got the win pretty easily. I dont think that they will overlook this McGavok team. Yeah they will be cocky because heck, they are good, but they wont overlook a team. Going into the playoffs everybody is 0-0 and anything can happen. But having a little swagger to their game is what is helping them. When Wells was there, nobody really cared becasue he didnt care. Wells had no emotion but pissed off. And the player would get down and it would be game over. So yeah, they are cocky and have a right to be and it maybe a good thing, but no they wont look over McGavok. But I personally dont think that a metro team can stand up to Blackman. They just dont play the level of talent that Blackman plays. Should be a good game to but Blackman will come away with the victory. Blackman 35-13

Before I give my response I am in NO WAY starting another argument on here or wanting to start the wave of excuses that I'm sure will happen anyway, but here goes.

The best example I can give you is from 06' during regular season when R'dale beat Smyrna 49-0. When Smyrna saw them again in the playoffs there was a lot of, “we killed them last time, and we will kill them again." "Another shut-out by the warriors." "Easy win." "So who will R'dale play next week?" Now I'm not saying that all of these comments came from R'dale ppl, they mainly came from reporters from the DNJ. BUT do you remember what happened in that playoff game? Smyrna won.... I believe it was 9-7. Now I'm not saying this to have R'dale ppl come one here and start crap about something that happened 3 seasons ago, all I'm saying is that R'dale had EVERY right to be cocky about the second exchange between them and Smyrna and I truly think because of the cockiness (sp?) and assurance from everyone in the area that they would win, it got to their heads and they ended up losing. THIS is NOT what I want to happen with Blackman. So looking ahead to week 2, saying this is going to by a shut out, saying things like can't wait til R'dale and Blackman meet up in week two; isn't going to help ANY of the Blackman boys. Yes it is a confidence booster for sure, but there is a line between building confidence and being cocky and I don't want the boys to cross that line in their heads. I want them to go into this game with the line of thought, "This will be an easy win because we are better but we still have to play HARD." I want them to still be hungry and not looking at week two yet. Now don't take what I am saying as I don't think they can win, I do! I think this will be an easy win for Blackman, but not too easy. Understand what I am saying? I’m not doubting my boys in any way, but I don’t want their heads to get too big and there be an upset. I am so proud of them and how well they have done this season, I think they deserve to be excited and proud, but I don’t think anyone ever deserves to be cocky. Now if we go to the title game and win…… :thumb:

  10. Mcgavock is going to suprise ya'll...

Blackman better come prepared or they will be in for a rude awakening..

I look for this one to be a close game..

Blackman will prevail because mcgavock has problems finishing..

Blackman should win this one. However, if they are looking ahead it might just be the one that bites them in the behind. Blackman should not overlook this team. They have a good defense and take chances on offense.

I agree, being confident is one thing, being cocky is something that will cost you a "W" and then where would we be? At home...... Everyone from Blackman that knows me knows I'm up there in the stands hollaring and screaming with the best of them, but I also know that going into a game thinking you are going to just kill the other team isn't the best approach.... I don't plan by any means to get bored in the stands Friday night.... Good luck Blackman, stay focused and remember upsets happen all the time!

    Blackman 42

    McGavock 10

    GO BLAZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. OK yall sorry bout that had to get it off my chest. First off congrats to both teams who showed why Rutherford County Football is the best in the state. All those young men poured their all into tonights game and they all deserve a big pat on the back. Now as we look ahead playoffs begin and both these teams as well as Oakland will be in the hunt for the Gold Ball. My prediction is as follows,.....With out a doubt the Gold Ball stays in Rutherford County once again. Time for Maryville's Title Reign to come to an end when they meet up with one of these Rutherford County teams. Theres still quite a few games left to be played so everyone stay loud and proud and cheer your team on. By the way on that note IF YA CANT STAND UP AND SUPPORT YOUR TEAM DO US ALL A FAVOR AND STAY HOME. These boys work way to hard for people to just sit there like a bump on a log. Hats off to both teams and nice to see there is some class acts from both schools posting on here unlike some.

    ..........WE ARE BLACKMAN..........

Don't ever apologize for getting on here and saying what you have to say, no one else from ANY other team does so why not be proud and show it!!! 12. As with pretty much all of 7aaa, 2 great teams played tonight. They were very equal but Blackman was better tonight and deserved to win. Riverdale has a great team and will go a long way in the playoffs and we could very well see them again.

By the way, I don't think Blackman was given anything. They took it.

I think 104.5 the zone and murphy fair said it best "blackman shutout riverdale tonight. Now riverdale did score but it was only because of a bad snap on a punt that rolled into their endzone." so yeah thanks for the gift...... Hahahaha also there was no fumble in the endzone that blackman recovered we actually got the ball in the endzone with no help from YOUR team we did it on our own!

  13. Proud to say we'll be broadcasting this game as, possibly, our football season finale for this year.

Coverage starts at 7 PM at http://www.middletennesseesportsnetwork.com. For those of you coming to the game, stay dry. No need to worry about lightning since the strike count's dropped to zero.

Not sure who's team you are on as both teams in the game (Blackman and R'dale) at least have one more week with the 1st rd. of playoffs so no finale tonight.....

  14. As of 11:58am, weather channel and accuweather are saying rain coming in between 9 and 10 tonight - hope the wind slows down a little and it comes in around 11! :roflol:

As of 1:43pm weather channel shows few showers at 5, 7, and 8pm then T-storms beginning at 9pm.....

    http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyho ... _graph_tab

Looking at the forecast radar on weather.com - I think we need to put the Blackman band in Columbia (they never get there for any competions anyway - LOL!) and have them play "Living on a Prayer" and hope it scares the storm away :roflol:

LOL, they were actually really a great band last week. Played great music, played as loud as they could at key moments in the game, and celebrated at the end of the game AFTER Shad was done with his post game speech and prayer. Hope we have another great night from them again tonight!

  15. My nephew is a Senior starting RB for Hendersonville so I, needlessly to say, am pulling for H'ville, however in light of the recent news regarding Coach Lassiter and his family I hope the boys at Gallatin play their heart out for him tonight. Good luck Gallatin my prayers are with each and everyone of you and Coach's family.

  16. The esteemed Tom Kreager of the DNJ has picked Eagleville on this one -- 17-14.

The esteemed was close---17-10, oh and MTCS won . Good game to watch. Field was very muddy-limited offenses. No injuries, both teams should represent district well.

WAY TO GO COUGARS!!!!! Wish I could have been there tonight seeing as I live about 10 minutes from the school, but two sick babies and a sick hubby kept me busy at home! Good luck next week in the playoffs!!!!!!!!!! YOU DESERVE IT!!!!!!!!! :roflol::roflol::roflol:

  17. All you panzies out there that are saying Im not real, I will restate what I said before. I will be sitting on the 50 yard line and row 17 on the end of the isle. If Blackman wins I will be there to shack your hand and congratulate you and if The Warriors win, I would expect the usual from you.....silence while your eating your crow!!!! Go Warriors!! Another Step To The Gold!!! Leave It All On The Field!!!

Which end of Row 17? Baseball side or main gate side. Some of us might like to say Hi just for the fun of it!

OK I will make it easier....as you are facing the press box the left end of the row or the right side. This is NOT rocket science.

Now who is the PANSY! And it is 'shake' your hand not shack as in what you probably live in!

This is RIVERDALE and I am the father of a PLAYER!

Easy LOD, I have never "read" you so worked up before, remember it's not worth it! Just make sure you find him on Friday night and "shack" his hand! :thumb:

  18. How many people do ya'll think will be there?

Hopefully there will be a great turnout, R'dale needs all the money they can get at the gate and concession stands. Not sure if they are actually going to donate part of the gate and concessions but I know the paper said the cheerleaders are taking donations at the gate. They are raising money for Chris Mayes' family. His mother is in the hospital battling an auto-immune disease. I truly hate this for Chris and his family and they have been in my prayers since I read the article in the DNJ. So it would be great if everyone would buy their tickets at the gate and buy a bunch of overpriced food items (not a dig on R'dale they are overpriced EVERYWHERE) to help out this family. According to the DNJ she has been in the hospital most of the season.

Now I may be wrong But i think the freshman cheerleaders are going to take up the money seperate I do know that the RIVERDALE BASEBALL team is having a tailgate and we will be taking up money at that tailgate for the family. I do know one thing about the RIVERDALE community when one of our own needs help we are there and I am confident in the response they will get I know money doesnt make her feel better but it will take some of the burden off the family from all the time they have spent at the hospitiol with her GOD BLESS AND I ALSO AM STILL PRAYING

I am going soley on what the newspaper said which we know at times can be inaccurate.... I just hope they get tons of money for them!

  19. The Cookeville player dislocated his elbow - they popped it back in place....

The weather report is starting to look better and better for Friday night - accuweather is calling for rain in the morning, again around 4:00pm for a few minutes and then no more until late-late Friday night-early Saturday morning.....

    Knock on wood!!!

No, they knocked on his elbow (ducking now..)

Finding something to throw...... LOL :thumb:

  20. How many people do ya'll think will be there?

Hopefully there will be a great turnout, R'dale needs all the money they can get at the gate and concession stands. Not sure if they are actually going to donate part of the gate and concessions but I know the paper said the cheerleaders are taking donations at the gate.
