Know I came in very DT strong out the gate, had the farm on him early, don't know a whole lot but know that as stated in one of the first post that MC does not have the funds to get a name anyone will be happy with, and it looks as though i was more right than i thought.

Have no ties to any team this weekend and was wondering whom you thought would be the best game with the best crowd, I'm leaning toward going to Smyrna but jury still out. So who yall thinking/

DT is the word, i said it awhile back. Only other credible name that has come is RA. A man that is out of state but not coaching football right now and you insiders know who i'm referring, but past experiences may hinder him in the MC job, still got the farm on DT tho.

As a blonde all these initials make me even dizzier.
It's awfully confusing.
Who is JS & where is he from ?
I think Big Country is pretty accurate, although there
are a couple of names floating out there that I haven't
seen anyone mention.
Anyone know exactly what's going on & how soon a coach
will be named ?
Jacob Sorrels from Lincoln County coaches at Giles now

If anyone with the initals CK, TM or BF get this job it would totally amaze me. IMO their local ties and inexperience by two mentioned would prevent them from getting the job as much as anything. Homegrown isn't always the best route and I definetely feel that an outsider would be the best thing that could happen to this program. These kids don't need someone telling them "When I played here we did this or that" They need someone to come in and say this is how it is going to be done -- it is my way or the highway. Make that point up front and no one will have any misunderstandings of where I (from the coach) stand on certain issues. Discipline on and off of the field is one of the biggest issues facing the new man on campus. Get that one taken care of early and it is downhill form there.
I mentioned BF in an earlier post, and after talking to him he has no intention of trying to get the job. I believe he is moving to Oregon to coach. Also think JS is happy where he is. Big Country soundes to be dead on, i believe whole heartedly that DT will be the man, and from what i hear its his to take.

Also heard S Chapmans name thrown around he's coached in corn ville.

Do you think he would leave his current job to come here? If they could get him that would be a excellent choice. He is a good football coach. He would also be a good fit for the players
I think they will give everything they can to get him and its said that he's not happy where he is, he would be able to move home. if he wasn't interested there wouldn't be talks, he wouldn't want his current guys finding out. i believe he will be in place by Jan. but thats strictly my thought and i've been wrong more than once.

Everyone seems to only put initials so the next man at MCHS is DT talked with DP yesterday about what it would take to get him there. Was contacted earlier but said he wouldn't talk until his game against smyrna was over.

as a goodpasture fan i don't know why anyone would be intimidated to play at goodpasture, we have a normal stadium with a quit crowd for the most part. but as for most intimadating stadium, i can remember in 2003 when macon played smith at macon in the third round. my family and i walked up at half and it sounded like neyland coming down the road - and your man with the fog horn was set up in his front yard at that time as well. it was a great highschool football game won on a end of regualtion 50+ yard field goal and then the posts wore torn down as the fans mobbed the field. awesome football atmsophere there at macon county.
yes i agree

The town is wanting a guy perfect head to toe. I'm sorry but your not going to get the Pope to run the local mass, best learn to be happy with someone even with a few flaws.

Over the weekend heard Beau Fullertons name dropped a couple of times. He's from Marshall been coaching at Cookeville High. Has anyone heard if he's applied or not?
-
Is the new coach gonna get $30,000 in a Kroger sack from the Booster Club too?
No way the booster club doesn't have the money.
-
Who is in the running? Heard names like Tharp and Stacey? When does the application process take place? Its going to be hard to get someone willing to try and clean up two messes, and why little town support? Made it to two ball games and the atmosphere was not the marshall county football i remember in 80's 90's even then the tigers had down years but the people of the town were behind them.

Sad thing is you all probably think you would have a chance getting those guys!!!! Marshall County may have athletes.....but you would have to be crazy to go there now....good thing is they have good turnover in coaching jobs.
marshall county will not be able to put up the big bucks to get a name anyone would be happy with.
