Looking for an AAU girls team in middle tn area. 11 year old post/forward player who wants to play.

Now - to the matters at hand. I just wanted to say, how very proud of my BIG, BEAUTIFUL, AMAZON daughter I am and the group of girls she has spent the last six years with. What a GREAT group of young ladies!!!!!

May your focus, drive and talent get you to the "BIG DANCE" next week!!! This is what it all comes down to - camps, practices, blood, sweat and tears.......

So GOOD LUCK to "my family" that will play at Polk Co. Saturday. THE UHS FANS WILL BE THERE TO CHEER YOU ON!!!!

I can't believe Kylie Lambert (McMinn Central) isn't a finalist. She's the best pure basketball player I've seen this year....and could have easily averaged about 30 points a game had she been a selfish player. UT Chattanooga beat out a few SEC and ACC teams to get Kylie's signature to play for the Lady Mocs.

She is an outstanding basketball player. Seen it first hand Saturday night.

Of course, I don't get to pick the finalists. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> That is why I am cheering for LaShay.

I was setting at half court and I could see what happened. When the ball was blocked it came down on Kayla and when both players were going after the ball the Central player hit Kayla in the face. It wasn't intentional just part of the game. There were fouls that weren't called but on both ends. It was something that happened in a highly charged game, nothing more. I will say this about Upperman's season and post season play, I think it is really unfair how Karissa Dyer gets beat up under the goal every game and the refs over look it. Not just in this game it seems like it's every game. It is almost like they over look it because she is tall. I know that is part of the game but it is really unfair to her.

Thanks Turnadouble. I am glad that I am not the only one who thinks that! But just like I tell Karissa she has to play smarter and tougher every game. It was no different when I played in the STONE AGES!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> The ref's just expect you to take it because you are the biggest one out there. Guess it is time for some more farm work this summer! lol.

Seriously, the game was just an intense game and when it is girls...... it is much more emotional than with boys.

She did get hit in the face and of course she got the one-sided deal on this call. I do understand her frustration.

I think we all did.

It is very tough for me to see the end of LaShay, Jennifer and Karissa. They have played together since

Karissa was five (and let me tell you that has been alot of basketball). I will miss those two senior girls

I'm not sure if the time is regulated by TSSAA, like too many things are. I imagine Upperman will be selling tickets at their school, won't they?

 

Perhaps some of the people who post on here who work at Central or Upperman will post that information.

FYI: Upperman received fax this morning from McMinn that half of the tickets would be for Upperman

at the ticket booth at McMinn. So NO tickets at Upperman will be on sale. Wished there were advance

tickets on sale........just due to the drive. Just have to leave earlier.
