  1. just watched the replay on gcasports.com...not bad, homers, but not bad. wish cak could get something like this going. Also, nice little website has going.

thoughts after watching the film...the officials should be ashamed, that was BAD and the film does not lie...T$$AA needs to have a better way of watching the officials, to control a game like that is pitiful. They (the officials) gave Grace more yardage than Grace and missed a lot of calls in Grace's favor (not ranting on Grace! because I know they have no control on the officials, but I think anyone who watched and has access to watch it again can see what took place!)

  2. From the looks of the field it had not been mowed (saving Gas) and the field had standing water....hadn't rained in over 24hrs! Hopefully your draining system is not that bad. Plus standing by the fence I noticed that they field had a bad odor. :popcorneater: Sloppy mess...both the field and the play of CAK

As for the Warriors....time to strap it on Seymour will be far more physical than Grace!

  3. boy......cannot wait till kick off......seems the Grace coach on the website cannot wait either.

wonder how big the water bill will be on oak ridge hwy? should be fine though, I am sure they saved money on gas this week and will be used to cover it :roflol:

  4. Hey I heard Karns scrimmaged Lenoir City last night. Who was there? How'd Boden (QB) look? What about all those promising sophomores? Is anybody actually playing defense this year? Let's hear something.

Who else is Karns set to scrimmage this year?

  5. Sounds about right FootballDad. The Hot dogs/hamburgers after should be a great time.

i havnt heard of any more injuries other than 44 and 77. 44 is cleared to play i believe but i dont know any more than you guys about 77. Scott, the WR, has been sick all week but is gonna try and go Saturday.

77 aka Pooh Bear. will have surgery right after school lets out for the summer. He tore his ACL. I hope that Logan has a speedy recovery!!!!!

  6. Congrats to Houser. Let's hope he has a great year!

Has anyone heard anything on #77 knee? Hoping just a sprain and not ACL / MCL.

The scrimmage this Saturday should be interesting.

what time is the best time to be there for the scrimmage?

  7. Nice inter squad scrimmage. Beautiful weather. The offense definitely had the better day. Allowing the QB to run added a new dynamic . The first series you could see the confusion from the defense on whether to come up and stop the run or drop into coverage. Some really nice reads resulted in chunks of yardage by pass and QB run. Once the QB establishes that he can and will run, and that he can make accurate throws on the run, it puts enormous pressure on the D. None of the QB's looked bad, but I thought a couple looked further along than the others. No deep balls today, mostly short or intermidiate routes. Unfortunately, #77 hurt a knee while blocking, and #44 had some chest pains. Hopefully, both issues are minor, although #77 was already on crutches before the scrimmage was over.

That's funny about the O getting the better of the D....Offensively CAK lost more starters than on the D. D should be their strong point this year IMO??¦ /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  8. Welcome Coach!

read the article in the news this morning and glad to see Coach Wells joining CAK. For some of you it may be hard to believe but some people are not in coaching for the money! Coaching is all about the fit....that includes coaches, kids, parents, administrators, purpose, etc. Coaches are hired and fired every year good or bad reasons, it's just funny to me to see all the negative publicity that comes with the Private schools...like it never happens in public /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

  9. Coach H was and is a baseball coach. As it has been mentioned he had a great offer to coach only baseball. At CAK he was coaching three sports! That is hard to do especially when he wanted to be spending time with his three kids (1 in the majors, 1 at college, and 1 that plays pro volleyball). I hope him the best.

    Who will replace Coach H, because he left a team that has a lot of potential.. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

  10. Drove to College Square Mall

(careful with the red light camera)

    bought a Knoxville News Sentinel

    for the PREPXTRA.

Shocked that there was no listing

    of the district standings.

It is the end of the regular season.

Sure there are some tight races and

    no standings.

    If I had a computer

I would check the standings on line.

If you do not have a computer....why ask someone to post on coacht? /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> Wait how are you on coacht?

  11. I think we should combine your "vision" with Footballdad's and Juniorsdad's idea. That puts shirtless old men trying to stab swords in the groud at midfield. THAT is carnage. Now we're getting somewhere. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    I can think of a word for that but it's not carnage /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

As for Nonnack...let's hope the coaches make better decisions than you do about starters /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

  12. I won't repeat myself from my previous post, but a couple of thoughts.

    1. Henson needs to get PT somewhere.

    2.

    3. Good point, hard to learn 3 positions. Although in our offense and with his ability to react to the ball, you could make a case that he could have a tremendous impact at WR, maybe more than DB where he was very effective last year.

    4. If Fortner goes to center, who ends up at the other positions on the OL?

    5. I agree, may not be decided in the spring. But it would sure help if it was given that every one of the candidates can contribute elsewhere on the field.

    1. Henson was a DE last year, but spent most of the year on the IR. Noticed he had a cast on one of his arms.

    4. O-line.....Dieter, Sharp, Fortner, Alford, Johnston, White, Blackwell, Powers, Etc....

  13. What is going on at CAK??? They hire a new Athletic Director this year and suddenly the coaches are leaving. Isn't it a mystery why there are all these sudden changes under the new AD? The state championship girls' soccer coach is leaving. The girls' basketball coach is leaving. An assistant baseball coach is leaving, and now the boys' basketball coach is asked to resign. Huh??? Other coaches and some teaches are planning to leave at the end of the year. Are we sure about the school's name....CHRISTIAN Academy of Knoxville????

Well I have not heard about all of these people leaving as you have, but here is what I do know...

Pifer left for a college coaching position, which is where he was before he came to CAK, so why blame CAK when a coach tries to get into a better situation?

Haven't heard that hoch is leaving, but it wouldn't shock me...I figure that he is in town as long as his kid pitches at UT, then he goes back west.....Is he the baseball coach you are talking about?

As far as Darden, I think he is a good coach and I personally cannot speak about the situation, because I am not a basketball fan and I do not know what happened.

I will say this...everyone who gets into coaching should know that they are going to get fired!!!

  14. You're absolutely right. No way was this done intentionally. Honest mistake...

    let's get to the banter!!!

Are you sure Milan didn't give you guys at Alcoa the wrong address? Lol (Tape Gate 2)

Alcoa wins again. Milan will be lucky to score more than two td's on offense!

    Alcoa 21

    Milan 10

  15. To my knowledge (which has been wrong more than right) there have been only two teams to put up legitimate touchdowns on Alcoa....Maryville and CAK. Marion have fun on the bus ride over and enjoy the atmosphere as well as the multiple firework shows that will be taking place!

    Alcoa 46

    Marion 2
