Josh Slater (Lipscomb) and Jamie Graham (Whites Creek) are the two best I have seen in Middle Tn. Slater has excellent court vision and can get to the basket with the best of them. Graham is incredibly fast and athletic. He was one of the most impressive players @ the state tourney last year under the bright lights against some tough competition.

Harpeth has an excellent team and could make some noise late in the year with their length, athleticism, and some hot shooting. The game Friday against Sycamore should be an outstanding one to watch. I would give the edge to Harpeth, especially with Lohin being injured. If Cheatham ever decides to play the entire game they can be a very dangerous team. I have seen them play a couple of times now, and they don't seem to get after it until they fall way behind. That being said, opening the District slate with road games against Sycamore and Harpeth would leave a lot of teams sitting @ 0-2 in the District. Looking forward to Friday night!

Sycamore is a better TEAM than Cheatham right now. The Cubs had trouble knocking down shots early, and even when they started to go in Sycamore always had an answer. The Cubs have to regroup and try to bounce back on the road against a Harpeth team which will surely be focused following their loss Friday @ Creekwood. Watch out for Creekwood 11AA! They are a very solid team which should contend for the District championship.

Cheatham visits Sycamore this Friday in the district opener for both teams. The Cubs are coming off of back to back double-digit road wins over Hendersonville and Hume-Fogg. Sycamore is coming off of a victory over an improved Kenwood squad. This should be a good one. Harpeth @ Creekwood has the potential to be a tight game as well. If I am not mistaken, Creekwood defeated Harpeth @ home last year and has the ability to do so again if they play well. Any opinions about these 2 big 11AA games this Friday?

Cheatham is better and more experienced than last year. They are starting 4 seniors and a junior. They will have to call on that experience AND keep their composure if they want to do well in 11AA this year. Road games @ Sycamore and then @ Harpeth is a pretty brutal way to start the district schedule. We will get a good idea of where they stand by how competitive they are in these tough road games. The 3 Cheatham County teams get their final tune-ups for District play tonight.

Cheatham @ Hume-Fogg

Harpeth is definitely the favorite, with Sycamore 2nd. Cheatham, Creekwood and Stewart Co. are all pretty evenly matched and will battle it out for 3rd and 4th.

First micminn next liberty
Be careful wht you wish for.... McMinn brought a pretty good team to the state tourney last year and Liberty Demolished them. West Tn. basketball is a different animal.

Liberty is without an equal in AA hoops. They have a ton of talent, and yet they will also play harder than the opposition. It will take a tremendous effort by someone to knock them off.

Lost 2 key players in district mvp Moulton and versatile big Bullard as well as a couple of decent guys off the bench. Moulton could light up the scoreboard in a hurry and Bullard was a smart player who could play multiple positions.

Does anyone have any information on the Sycamore-Goodpasture game last night? It sounds like the return of Lohin energized the team.

Ravenwood is in a rebuilding year. They are a young team with a new head coach and still will be missing a couple of football players. They will play hard though, and it should be an interesting game.

CHeatham actually plays MBA tonight.

Hey Hoops1st, exactly how big is Sain? I think he is versatile and talented, but I have not seen Liberty play yet this year. Just wondering if he has gotten any bigger?
