Wouldn’t that mean they questioned the enrollment number they submitted? I mean going from 2A to 1A would imply that.
"MASE approved and to stay in 1A"
That's the part that I meant to quote. Because they changed their enrollment number they dropped from 2A to 1A. The poster stated that they would stay in 1A which was incorrect based off of the original number that was provided to the TSSAA.

So MASE appealed their own enrollment numbers? I don't get it
No. Their appeal moved them from 7-2A to 8-1A.

List all of the changes please. Thank you.

I hope Giles County wins. I’d like to see them play Alcoa in Pulaski next week. Coach O’Connor & Co. always do a great job.

it has been a game changer at lipscomb. the field is used ALL the time which is great! I look forward to seeing how this changes metro school athletics.
I know in Williamson County the teams practice on their $1.3 million game fields as well. It really does help in practice more than in a game setting.

Congratulations to the Metro football programs on what will be a major upgrade to the facilities across the system.

This thread is about to replace the Fairview/Smith County thread in spiraling downhill if that stuff is going to start.

Honestly I didn’t even read what you wrote before I did. Great minds think alike
Agreed! Especially when it comes to trying to allow inferior minds to keep pace.

Four excellent team's left on the West side. Whichever of the four go to Chatt to play the West/Powell winner will represent our side of the state well IMHO
I agree. As a Middle TN fan I’d love to see those 4 teams play in their own 4 team tournament.

What were the suspensions supposedly for and by who? Was it the school or the TSSAA? I remember in 2016 or 2017 that it was Waverly who lost in the state semifinals to a Trezevant team that played some ineligible players and was later stripped of a state championship as a result.
I also remember Stratford teams in 2003 or 2004 that had to forfeit several wins after it was deemed that they’d played some ineligible players.

Good Luck to Coach Brunetti and the Pearl-Cohn Firebirds this week.
This week's game will be the 12th TSSAA State Quarterfinal Contest that Coach Brunetti's coached in since taking over at Pearl-Cohn. His overall mark in the previous 11 appearances stands at 8-3.

Hearing that new topic of interest of the TSSAA today is around East playing players friday night that was suspended for disciplinary actions.... mainly #6. Supposedly they had a few that had been out the weeks prior and was not clear to come back yet for the Waverly game? Anyone confirm or shed some light on this?

Fairview, Cheatham County, and Harpeth will play some great contests this year. All of those teams have a chance of making some serious noise come late February into early March.

By the way wanting a team to win a football game is not the definition of "hijacking a thread" on CoachT last time I checked.

High jacking threads just to high Jack someone else’s comment. Go set up camp in the basketball boards.
Dang! That must speak volumes about some of you then if multiple people are saying it in such a short span of time.

You know nothing about me man.Wait til we go to 2A next year.We will be the Alcoa of 2A ball
Good Luck With That
Alcoa = 20 State Championships
Smith County = 0 State Championships
The only commonality that exists between AHS and SCHS just finished his first season at Boyd Buchanan. Outside of that Alcoa and Smith County have nothing in common.
Smith County can compare themselves to DeKalb County, Macon County, or Westmoreland. Be happy with that.

I hope that East Nashville wins and even worse I hope that urmama57 meets up with just the right person to put him in his place.
East Nashville wins 28-21 and ends the Owls 2022 campaign.

I’ve never wanted East Nashville to win a game so badly before in my life. Go Eagles!

The fact that both teams have reached the state semifinals is truly a testament to the players and coaches at both places because they've battled adversity this season (especially Maryville).
