Who does Greenfield have this year that will step up when tournament time rolls around???

I think once they learn to come in a gym ready to play they will be unstoppable!!! Dispite some loses here lately, they are getting closer to becoming the best team around! I am seeing an inprovement each game now and if they keep it up this going to be fun come tournament time! Keely Williams shot started falling in the Humboldt game, as well as Rhiannon Caudle's shot is starting to look more consistant! Annastasia Allen is doing a graet job getting into the lane and finding the Lady Jackets a way to score! Pannayiotta Edmonstson looks to be half post and half guard! She can handle the ball like a point guard but can just as easily go post a girl twice her size! Now about the post......to me these girls will be the deciding factor in how far the Lady Jackets go this season! Magan Cash and Nicole Jones are now a factor on the team. Magan has an awesome shot from anywhere right under the basket to a 3. And don't forget about the rebounding! Nicole is also becoming a force. Being able to defend the way she does and able to find a way to post up on any body, she just has to find a way to finish her good moves. Watching in the past games, I don't know if she is scared because of a sprained ankle she got two weeks ago and she just started playing to soon or what but when her and Magan become consistant goood things will start to happen!

South Fulton had a great game plan and played a good basketball game. As for our Lady Jackets, we just had an off night. everything that could go wrong did go wrong and give South Fulton credit for that. Kaci Beadles can play and she dominated the game. Our district is wide open, anyone can beat anyone. Girls keep your head up and keep playing hard, good things will happen.

I'm surprised by the margin of victory by the South Fulton girls..And Gleason only beat Lake Co by 6 in a game that Lake Co outscored Gleason in every quarter except the 2nd quarter when Gleason outscored Lake by about 15 points..Maybe this district isn't going to be just a one or two team race..Congrats South Fulton!

Thanks to last nights lost.... .....the girls now see some things we thought were ok but not! Keep working hard girls it will pay off in the long run!! Hope Nicole is ok and back in action soon!!!!

Glad to see that Greenfield moved up from last week. The girls have looked good so far! Go LADY JACKETS!

I'm always interested in who was overlooked the year before or who needed another year of maturing before they became a star for there team. Or maybe they just needed the star from last year to move on so they could step out of her shadow. Whatever the situation, has anybody picked up on emerging stars or has a prediction for one?

 

Since I know a little bit about Memphis ball, I'll say Adrian Prather. She plays for East. Quick as a cat and can handle the rock. She'll be getting more of the spot lite this year.

While there are no real stars, the lady Jackets have an unbelievable group of seniors. They were good last year, but after losing their two mian shooters now it is up to them to find other ways of scoring. Keely Williams and Rhiannon Caudle have worked hard on becoming great 3 point shooters, Annastasia Allen and Panny Edmonston have amazing speed and are able to get in the lane with ease. But the real turn around players are Magan Cash and Nicole Jones. With Magan able to shoot 3's and shoot all around and Nicole being strong inside and a great defender, they are a pair that is going to be hard to stop! On top of having a great senior class, they are also blessed to have great depth! and it has already come into use! Being good from top to bottom is a true blessing!

A win over Westview makes a huge statement.

The Greenfield vs. Westview game was a very hard fought game by two good teams. I'm excited that Greenfield was on top in the end! With that huge win last night, hopefully it will give the girls confidence for the rest of the season! They have two hard weeks coming up....South Fulton(H), Halls(A), Lake Co.(A), and Gleason(A)!

Greenfield has six seniors - Point guards Annastasia Allen and Pannayiotta Edmonston, Guards Keely Williams and Rhiannon Caudle, and Centers Nicole Jones and Magan Cash

Does anyone know if any of the Greenfield girls have signed or planning to sign with any one?

I know that Greenfield has a very good team this year; however, the chances of them actually making it to the finals is very slim. They have never experienced winning big and will not be able to handle the pressure. Not to mention with the redrawing of the region lines and Union City being a firm competitor, they have a very long way to go.

I'll admit the the Lady Jackets would have another long way to go; however, I think after last year they proved they can win big games!
