here's some truth. Soddy won one tourney last year, also they lost 5 games in a row at beech play day. the year before that they didn't win a tourney. But i beleive they did one the tournament that counted the most! side note: the last four year noone picked soddy to make it to the state champ game. Will they make it this year?? eh maybe if they get lucky, we lost at least 8 1-0 ball games where we had runners on 2 and 3 with less that two outs, so anything could happen.clarification: runners on 2 and 3 more than once in the ball game

We are not counting play day games or Soddy's would be higher on their losses this year.You are soooooooooo off the rocker when you say no one expected Soddy Daisy to win the last four years.The last group came in 2nd twice and was champions twice in state.This years team has lost around 13 or 14 games ! last year they lost a total of 4!!!! There is only 1 girl on the team playing today that helped them win state the rest got a free state ring!!!!!! Do not get so upset over the truth.I know who you are and you have a relative on the team.Chill out .I am not cutting her down.I am simply saying this years team not as good as last years.Next year Soddy will be right up there with the big dogs because a lot of the other schools will loose a lot of talent so they will become even then.P.S. I feel you can not judge a team on last years performance.This year is Soddy Daisy's worst record in about gosh,10 years or more.Soddy Daisy has lost about 13 or 14 games this year,Unheard of for Clifford. You can not say its because they are young.Four years ago almost every starting player was a freshman except for maybe two.Soddy has lost as many in this one year as the last group did in three combined.I am not saying They are not good but look at the facts this year.They have not won a tournament,the important games here at the end they have had to go to them instead of them coming to Soddy.I just do not feel Soddy can win state IF they make it.I am not trying to down Soddy but just like my name,everything I have said is the TRUTH.If Soddy wins,GREAT but just don't see it happening.Good luck Soddy Daisy and OOltewah.

I'd like to congratulate Leigha Carter on back to back perfect games over the last two days. That is a feat that is hard to do, no matter who you are playing!

 

Cascade beat Community 15-0 yesterday and beat Huntland 24-0 today. Leigha faced the minimum number of batters each game with each game being a no-hitter! Congrats to Leigha and congrats to the entire team for playing flawless defense behind her! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Can I say something without sounding rude or mean.With those scores how difficult was the competition.The one game sounded like a basketball game.Not wanting to take away from the pitcher but had the other schools ever had a softball team before?If you are playing a GOOD team you should nt have those scores,sorry.

I investigated and this is what I came up with:

1. You don't have a clue.

2. That if it was so bad you/daughter should have quit.

3. Soddy has won 5 of the last 10 AAA State titles.

4. Those "males" must be doing something right.

5. Why did you wait till now to rip those "males"?

6. We had a girl/cancer quit our team a few years ago and we went to the state that year

That was the best thing that ever happened to Ooltewah.

7. If you had quit, Soddy would have won a couple more titles.

Absolutely no way. You truly believe the only reason they play is for scholarships? How many scholarships do you think are out there? There's a darn sight fewer scholarships out there than there are girls playing softball, so there have to be other reasons they play. Less than 10% of the girls playing HS softball receive a softball scholarship.

I am sorry to enlighten you learning is never over. Brain research shows that full brain development occurs in the middle 20??™s, therefore you must not know everything in high school when you are only in your teens. Clifford, Lamar, and Wes push the girls to be the very best softball players they can possible be in their teens. Wow, when they leave college the brain is not fully developed! When players get to college, they must decide their priorities and follow their dreams. I for one am glad these ???males??? push my daughter because I can already see a difference in her self-confidence and ability to play. Who said anything about Clifford? I guess the other "male" must be Lamar. I'm not a Clifford lover but if my daughter had a chance to play for him I'm sure she could learn something. My daughter plays for Norma at Ooltewah and all I know is that it's been 10 years and alot of ball games since we've beat Soddy Daisy. Those "males" must be doing something right.

Blessed with talent.If those girls came to ooltewah you all would win state.When you are in high school,you either have it or you don't.At their ages learning is over now it is producing.You were taught in your younger years.The only thing they do right is sit on their buckets and degrade the girls when they do not make them look good.You have no idea what they go through.As far as why they play, one word ,scholarship,thats it!
