  2. Worth is a good team, big girls with big pitching and big defense. Team Synergy played them earlier and it was 0-0 going into the 4th with a great game...then a homerun broke it open to 4-0. The Synergy/Thunder semi-game could have gone either way with a heck of a international tiebreaker coming, had it not been for the Synergy third base, who absolutely choked when a ball came to her with a runner on third and 1 out. DO NOT CONCEDE THE RUN! well, she scooped it, ignoring the runner whose head was down barrelling home for the out at the plate, instead tradeing an out for a run with less that 2 minutes to go, then acted like she had made the correct play......please! She is suppossedly going to the Junior Olympics in Italy in July with softball.......Go USA! Terriable.

It was bad hot and the girls, both teams, gutted it through, but neither would have had much for a fresh Worth..tough team!

For those wondering, Team Synergy is out of franklin and a first year team coached by Jose' Garcia, former D1 coach and known throughout TN as a coach and instructor. Great instruction but the team needs some culling out as it was put together fast and did not have the advantage of a fall shaking out period.

  3. Oh how quickly it turns......sad really...all the hopes and dreams... You got lots of time to come up with something better for next time...... And by the way.... I'm pretty much sure HE had quite abit to say about US winning and not YOU ....

  4. All we are going to here over the summer is how Forrest "gave it away" and the better team didn't win.... Kinda like last year, huh? So if this title is tainted, like was being proclaimed loudly even before the dust had settled on that awful field ( please TSSAA.... For 8 bucks, buy some water) I guess that makes last years Forrest title equally as unearned. Blah....Blah....Blah .....TCA got beat last year ugly...Forrest got beat this year ugly.... Try to have as much class about you as TCA when they "lost it" last year. It'll be okay space rangers, we're all good. No hurt kids, everything went well and it was settled as it should be...On the field.

  5. Now that I have your attention and since the 2009 edition of the State Tourney is over, we can be civil again, While i watched the Trinity family celebrate the win over Forrest tonight, I could think of nothing I wanted to do more or quicker than getting on Coach T and letting the loud mouth Forrest folks absolutely have both barrells....all the junk that was said over the last few weeks.... But then it came to me like lightning bolt.... I know from where this win came... The only place it could have come.... From above. You may not have noticed but TCA is a CHRISTIAN school.... Way from perfect, but trying to live up to the name. Folks do not realize what type of a spiritual experience the win was for the team and fans....doing nothing but reaffirming that our faith is correctly placed... We know who is control of all, even a softball game. I mean come on, how else you going to explain coming back from 3 down with 2 outs and lst bat in the State tourney on a team that hsd been pretty much jumping on you all night?

We feel that this whole experience has done nothing but stregthen our witness and testimony and provide us an opportunity to tell about who really won this game. When you have a centerfielder writing scripture in the dirt and kids praying aloud for help in the field and on deck, some folks get it and some don't. It was a great run Forrest but maybe one of the teams was alittle better prepared to get the most impact out of the win.

  6. I think that the single A trophy stays in Marshall Co. AGAIN this year. Trinity is too young, yes they have good pitching but so do other teams. The more mature teams from Marshall Co. will prevail in this one, those young players will be to much for the team to overcome this year! Marshall Co. will dominate! I cant wait for the rockets to launch!!!!!!!!!!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

What are you talking about...too young. They start 2 seniors, 4 juniors, 1 sophomore, and 2 freshmen...too young? Before you make a comment, might be good if you knew what you were talking about. So 36-1 is just an okay record, having beat GP, Huntingdon, Saint Benedict, and everybody else? Might not want to book your ticket on that rocket just yet.

  7. I am also looking for a pitching and hitting coach in the same area. Someone had told me about a former college coach who is out of the Franklin/Brentwood area. A father from Lawrence County told me they met him while he was working at the UT pitching camp. Can't remember his name, can anyone help with this or how to get in touch with him. Heard he was affordable.

Jose' Garcia, former coach at Ole Miss. He can be reached at 719-332-5937 or 615-599-2517. Dont why his cell is from out of area but he does answer it. He is out of Franklin.

  8. One other thing. Everyone knows dat my team is "WC" and we play in District 9. Here is a good example of levelin da playing field under the same rules dat private's go by. If the TSSAA would let all the students of District 9 go to ANY school in the district...then the field would be leveled a little bit. But not fully because they are still limited to the district. Now, if the TSSAA just said "Hey, if yaw live in TN your kid can go to any school in TN !!! Then...the field would be level wit dem dar privates.

And, we all know what would happen if dat happened. And, dem privates would not like it.

    Have a good day.

Do you think that it would be possible for you to type out your responses without the "dem and dars" and try to just state your point? It is hard enough to respect an opinion when the poster just sounds ignorant, even if he is doing it just to draw attention to himself.

As for the private schools recruiting, unless you have proof or have a child or are associated with a particuliar school, to just throw out accusations of such a magnitude is irresponsible. Good schools collect good kids and families, who have made the decision to invest in education and/or spirtual growth and athletics. If the kids have the resources for lessons and travel ball and whatever, now its the schools fault for "cheatin?" So you don't think that the public schools don't try to make thier athletic programs look as attractive as possible? If it didn't happen, why would TSSAA even have the 50 mile sit-out-a-year rule?

That high pitched whine that comes with the posts about private schools all cheating and collecting the best players because they have advantages is not very becoming. Maybe all the money that the public school folks are saving on not sending thier kids to private schools should be spent on lessons and getting better.......but what do I know, I have to go call a recruit for next year....oh, maybe I shouldn't have said that out loud.
