Couple of interesting facts on how bad it was for Halls. 1st qtr. 12pts ball was in the paint 4 times 3 total points, a FG and 1 FT. Half time 2-6 from the line. Maybe got the ball in the paint 10-11 times total. Thanks god for the second half. Should be a good game Thurs @6. Actually I HOPE it's a good game. 1st time in the gym. Mad I won't get to see it full on Thurs. I can see why it's a home team favorite.

Only scored 4 points in the 1st qtr. Lost 3 of the last 5. And got lucky with our draw. The OR side of the district is scary. Last night was a total meltdown. It will be interesting to see what stories come out of what happened. I will say that this record is more of what I thought it would be. Sneak a couple wins against better teams, and beat the teams worse than us. We are definitely a 4th place team. Maybe we can sneak into the regionals. Glad I'm done after this year because next year is gonna be tough to watch.

Thanks to OR for running the bench out so we could keep it at 10.

Halls was ice cold for 3 quarters and had nothing to stop Carter. 2 stupid Ts and Poor shot selection. I guess our motto should be, "win by the sword, die by the sword". Stet had 16 and was the only one in Double digits. On a side note, it was senior night so that was nice for the MRS. and ME. On the road the rest of the week. OR tonight, AC WED, Clinton FRI.

59-51 Halls. None of the normal guys started. Powell @ Halls Friday. What I wouldn't give for a quality win against Powell or OR. Oh well, a guy can dream.

No. Work out west and usually JUST make the boys tip around town. That drive is terrible. Can't believe district is gonna be there. Might go see if I can sneak into Powell tonight.

@CC tonight, Powell Fri, @AC Sat, HVA Mon, @Clinton Tues, @OR Fri. Really AC and Clinton are the only Ws, and if Ethan plays well for 4 qtrs then AC has a good shot and I suppose so does Clinton.. I'm really biting my tongue about this season and how it's playing out. On a side note the AC Frosh play West, Wed at 430 @ Gibbs.

With the way we have been playing, we just may give AC their lone W. I only saw the 2nd half b/c I was up at AC for a bit. Its not pretty at all, playing very despeate right now. Gibbs had points from only 4 kids. Rucker hit a flat-footed 3 to win with 1.8 left. Get to travel to CC tomorrow.

So this should be an interesting run for Halls. 7 games in the next 2 weeks. Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, Mon, Tues, Fri. Anyone else pulling a schedule like this? See you out and a bout.

Ha Ha you are correct. Grace also has seats on all 4 sides and they use the single arm goals.

1st, OR is one of only 2 district school, I think, (Clinton is the other one) that uses those backboards. And just the layout of the gym. Full sets of bleachers on 3 sides. It's a fantastic place to play. Can't think of any other place in Knox/Anderson that is like that. It's definitely an advantage to the home team.

Interesting that both OR district losses are at home. I would say the OR gym is the toughest one to play in because of the visuals.

I think all the OR faithful are over on the football board mourning the loss of their coach!!

I think you added a T. One early to Davis, and one late to Bunch after the Hard foul. The T on Bunch was his 5th foul so he sat and didn't get his FTs. Now the fun starts, time to take this circus on the road for the next 4 games.

This was the game I wanted to see at Powell. GREAT game. I thought both teams missed some shots. OR missed some key FT late, and yes the inbounds plays were hurting them. Halls missed some big shots late. Moore was not on the line as much as usual. The late TO is a head scratcher but they ended putting some time back on the clock so all I can think is he called the TO after the make and the hustle from OR made it seem like he got it w/o possession. The big surprise is at the end of regulation they didn't work the ball inside. On a side note, Halls 3 losses by a total of 5 points. Should be a GREAT run to the district tourney. Rambling done, CC at home Fri.

Yep, he all but asked the ref for it.. In othe news, AC Freshman went 2-1 with wins against Alcoa and LC and a loss vs Fulton. Played well just wore out for the Fulton game.

So this is all I will say on the matter. This could have been the game of the year! Both teams threw everything at each other and it was RUINED buy 3 men!!!! Powell is good, they have a GREAT inside game, play a GREAT press. We needed to see how we stack up against top competition, but tonight was a total loss thanks to those 3. I take pity in any and all teams who end up with those guys. BLECH.

I'm the least of your worries, my wife on the other hand...... I'm a transplant but my wife and her whole family went to Powell. My son played AAU with most of these guys. I don't get real fired up. I hope the refs let them play tonight. Can't wait to see who works the game. Blessing and a curse.

So who do OR and Karns play Fri?? Looks like some big games around town. I'll give my Sat to a Frosh thing at SDHS. Not that I don't enjoy watching my son, but MAN Frosh ball is tough to watch after Powell/Halls Friday Night!!

86 pts against Sequoyah and 94 against Greenbriar. Yuck, what a waste. Was hoping the Sequoyah game would be better. Oh well, time to man up and see how good we really are. At Powell Fri, and then host OR Tues. Expecting huge crowds at Powell and then back at Halls. Can't wait. Glad the 1st OR game is at home.
