My son went on to play college ball, but after his last high school football game he still cried like a baby. Most of these boys give it all they have to a game they love, with friends and teammates they've played with since they were little.

Let me be one in a million that says your An a&$!!!!

DB had the game won tonight if not for a stupid play call on 3rd and one. Instead of going under center and getting the first down we go out of shotgun and fail to convert and have to punt. This was with 4 plus minutes to go up by 10 points and SH only had 1 time out left. So we beat ourselves. Your an absolute tool to be such a jerk over a game you have nothing to do with. But 19 years in a row ain't too shabby. Everything must come to an end. Congratulations to The Hill players for finally beating the Tribe but I don't have any good to say about that classless jerk coach Stacy Carter. I've never seen a coach shove a band director on the way to the locker room. I wish Cook would have jack slapped his sorry butt.

I "think" you were congratulatory? But, anyway...Good game DB...I was a nervous wreck the whole game.

So many high hopes for this game over the years, and so many let downs. I'm thinking it's a strong possibility it happens this year!

I believe this is the game of the week! I think I'm coming to Kingsport!

It's hard to keep players at Central.  Most of the decent players always seem to transfer to DB, South, and THS.

 

And Science Hill needs to sit most of their players.  Give the injured ones time to heal and prevent further unnecessary injuries. 

I agree totally! I would transfer too if given the opportunity. 

It was an entertaining game for sure! I don't know that I've even seen that much inconsistency from a quarterback. The Tennessee High kid looked like a pro on some throws. And on other throws I'm wondering who is he throwing to? If that young man becomes more consistent, Tenn High will be virtually unstoppable! 

I hope McGue sits.

To bad Science Hill even has to play this game. No disrespect intended towards Central. I wish Central could drop down a class, is all I'm saying.

I'm told as of yesterday...McGue is out for Friday night agaist TH! McGue has been wearing a boot to help with the healing process this week.

I've seen Tenn. High play and I believe SH is the better team even without McGue. But, as we all well know the best team doesn't always win.

I'm anxious to see how SH comes out for this game. I didn't see a lot of fire last week even with McGue in there! So we'll see . . . 

The Castle is a great venue for high school football!!

Science Hill's display of football last week was...uh...well...forgettable. I hope that doesn't carry over to the castle!

Malik is the cog that makes the SH offense GO! Without him, they sputter at best. I'm gonna say it . . . A good coach makes things happen when a star player goes down! SH has lots of talent. How do the coaches piece together the talent to make it go? Not saying the offense goes as well...But they don't roll over and die either!

Tenn High will make it interesting with they're passing (Mitchell) attack. But at the end of the day...I still say SH by 21 to 28 pts

I watched the entire game along with a few buddies.  We had it on a smart TV via the website BA had.  I will say up front that I went to DB, one of my buddies is from SH, another from Greeneville, and one from here (Nashville).  What we all saw was a team in BA that looked like freshman in college beating the heck out of a high school team in every aspect.   Even with McGue, BA jumped out and dominated.  Mcgue maybe could have accounted for 1 score late in the game against 2nd string.  I saw SH offense playing um...

You guys were burned again on big plays and up front but BA's defense was stout ..Who knows with a healthy SH team but I imagine it would have made little difference overall. You guys have great fans and a nice school ... Was hoping for a better game. You guys did look a little blah to me ... Maybe the injuries and early turnovers took yr wind out

 

Typically a balanced attack with running and passing. I don't know what was wrong with SH tonight.

My honest opinion . . . I didn't see any fire or heart from Science Hill. I don't think BA was that good nor do I think SH was that bad. It was a frustrating game to watch. I hope something was learned in this game.

I do have a burning question (that I have had for a couple of years) ... Does SH need help with coaching on defense or is it just me??

Really, well I've got 829 friends that are all Crockett fans and they say the Toppers are classless and DB has class. So there. Now do you want to argue about the meaning of life?

The only thing I know about Wacky is that he is a pariah, even among (most of) the DB people.

 

As for the SH/Siegel game, I have no doubt that it is going to be a stern test for the Toppers. With Siegel this week and Brentwood Academy next week, SH is about to learn a lot about where their program stands.

You SH fans need to understand something. I know you don't have the experience playing out of this area like DB does so I will let you in on a little secret. You're going to lose!!! Stop living in a bubble and know just because you put up 90 points on probably one of the worst teams on the State, it ain't happening this week. I will go one better, you probably won't score but two TD's this week. I don't even know what Siegal has this year but I will say the final will be 42-14. Back to reality. You guys are going to do well up here this year but even on a down year you won't beat DB. ROLL TRIBE.

Until Science Hill proves they can beats us, I am not convinced. Sometimes, the better team may not win. Science Hill probably is better, but they gotta prove it.

In all seriousness, I agree with SS that West isn't up to the same caliber as years past.  Which is unfortunate because this is usually a pretty good game.  I think SH wins by 3 touchdowns or so.

 

I think SH's first real test comes the following week on the road against Siegel.

I've noticed not much talk about Science Hill's deliberate delay of game penalties and taking the knee to keep from scoring. SH cleared the bench...ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO SAY - "Now 3rd string running back, we are going to hand the ball off to you up the middle...DON'T RUN HARD!"???

When I heard the score I figured that SH would have had1000 yards offense but they didn't. They had 644. You can't ask kids to lay down after they are ahead by a lot. Winning programs have a killer mentality. Their 2nd and 3rd teams are better because they compete against better players. This is why their basketball teams are so good too. Cherokee has been on the receiving end of one sided games too but I have a lot of respect for SH.
