1. QUOTE(westtn_basketball @ Mar 13 2007 - 08:35 PM) 826410881I, for one, heard the talk of Anna supposedly trying to break Ashley's record, but don't misinterpret... Nobody was "comparing" Anna to Ashley. There's no comparison.

Hmmm.... Lets see bring it down, head fake, drive right. shoot it everytime, Heck those lady vol scouts could have left after the first quarter. I really think they're looking for a player that at least doesn't have to share district mvp with someone else vs. someone that is ms basketball... give me a break.

QUOTE(red&bluebasketballguy @ Mar 17 2007 - 10:59 PM) 826415868I really don't think you understand that most Sub-state AAU games are played in April and the state AAU is played in May.. This does cause a real problem for us parents that love the game of basketball and so do our girls..!!!!!!!!!!

Im not getting the real spirit of the rule either does this mean an independent person can coach 3 or more kids during the summer in bball after the regular school yr is over.

Tom Talkington died last night (Feb. 1). Marshall Talkington was treated an released las night (Feb. 1). David Hopper is in recovery after surgery and looks like he will make it. Jacob Halvorson (TCA) was the driver of the vehicle and passed away at 5:30 tonight from head injuries. This is a very sad story. Marshall was the only one wearing a seat belt, and was also the only one to walk away from the accident. The truck was driving down a narrow road at extremely high speeds. And by most accounts I have heard, alcohol was involved. Drinking and driving is a horrible decsion to make. I hope this will be a lesson to all teenagers that if you drink DO NOT try to drive. My prayers are with the family. For more information, log on to the Jackson Sun website at www.jacksonsun.com with updates from today and more stories will be posted tomorrow.

If you wouldn't count out West Carroll and Bruceton may be a "sleeper" then why wouldn't you consider Mckenzie? Lady Rebels beat both of those teams. In fact, Mckenzie might surprise some by the time district and region tournaments roll around.

West carroll by 14 tonite over a very good bruceton team, theyve beat clarkburg by 18,and lost to mckenzie in OT on a very controversial call. Also played greenfield to within 8 at their place and carried gleason a long way into the fourth with a 2 pt lead until yes the better team won. Also remember last yr clarksburg girls went a round or two into the region didnt they,Erin Grant is a very good player as is Brooke Cary and Renfroe. All these kids in this district are very young with one senior on W.C. One senior on The burg and Bruceton may not even have a senior that plays much.No disrespect at all to Gleason i have the utmost respect for them kayla and riley and randys daughter are just 3 of a team of good kids a nd good athletes.Just believe there are good things comin. Willie has a good bunch and their jr high program has been awesome lately. ive never posted on here just struck a nerve when a comment like beating the clarksburgs, gleasons, greenfields isnt any big deal,IT IS A BIG DEAL these days.
