  1. This is my view. If you take it as a personal attack, that is your perspective. The thing about commenting on a board is usually it is a person's opinion. If I would have said (and I am) this is the most wonderful team in Greeneville High's history, most people would let it go. I have an opinion, I have stated it, and I personally stand by it. Like it or not.... :hungry:

  2. ghs1fan - If my memory serves me there were not a many excellent Knoxville teams last year. The east tn teams that went to Murfreesboro were South Green and Betsy. SG winning dist 1 and EHS winning the regional. They both beat the Knoxville area teams in the sectionals and advanced to the Boro.

greenevillefan91- Itt seems to me that greeneville lost a HOF game to SG last year and has lost to both Betsy and SG this year.

BOTH OF YOU NEED TO RESPECT YOU OPPONENTS

    Actually, I don't!

  3. "My daughter is on that team"! How dare you state the truth! Only us folks with kids on the team get a voice. WELL I HAVE SPOKEN, SO GET OVER IT!!! IF THEY DON'T WALK AWAY WITH A CHAMPIONSHIP, THEY ARE A BIGGER JOKE THAN I THOUGHT!!!!!@ BY THE WAY,I was through with my this post a long ago, but it was renewed by others, so I had to respond!!!!.....

  4. Thank you for recognizing! Again I say, different conference, less powerful teams (so this is what some think) and they are in third place, they are a serious joke this year. The plan backfire as to think you were going to be able to do something different this year. They are back to the same level they were before they had a great run in the IMAC conference. This currenet team would getting slaughtered in the IMAC this year. FACTS ARE FACTS! DEAL WITH IT!!!!

Lady Devils! What a joke... you go to a different conference and this is all you can give us?

Yeah, you're right...4-0 in the conference is hilarious! Might want to think about changing your screen name with comments like that...with fans like you, the Lady Devils sure don't need any detractors...nice, really...

  5. So what your basically saying is that President Obama should do and support the same things of former President Bush?

I will put that back on you, but we already know the answer to that. We are talking basketball and sports in general. Tell me what politics have to do with this? Oh, I get it the same thing because in Greeneville it is always about the politics!

  6. Sorry dood but you have no clue as to the truth! Its amazing they let people post on her to bad mouth or bash individuals, and those who monitor this should not allow that to happen. This poster has never had anything good to add to a post on any of the threads.

No need for anyone to get on here and really explain what type of coaching staff the Lady Devils have. Those who are associated with the program know what type we do have! Unfortunately we have people on here that try to ruin an individuals image without knowing the truth! It just happens that the punishment for both boys and girls involved was the same. The punishment for the boys involved was the same as the girls involved. So to cry and complain about that is not very smart.

CoachT I hope you will stop any bashing of an individual on these threads, please take action and delete any posts and revoke their privilages!

Ask yourself this? Are the post you are reading pretty close to the truth? I think if you are honest with yourself you know they are. Fans can have a opinion and are free to voice these opinions. If you are not able to hear what other people see as the truth, maybe you should censor what you read.

When have I ever seen this coaching staff get on here to defend one of their players??? But don't let someone say what they view as the truth for you. I think I would be more concern with what these post do to hurt a teenager than GROWN FOLKS!!!!!

  7. When do we as adults set the standards for our teenagers fo follow. That is always the excuse "they are just teenagers"! It is time for our teenagers to step up and make some decisions based on right and wrong. That was wrong to watch your team mates fighting in the lockerroom! They were smart enough to video and know how to put it on utube. So when do we hold them accountable to make the right decision? It is nice to see an adminstration step up and do the right thing. Someone needs to get the message across to teenagers that everything they do is not fine!! There are always consequences for our actions!! Where were their team captains?

This really does explain why kids are behaving badly. If the adults are not setting the standards, not wonder there is so much trouble!!!!!

How would the football team had a totally different outcome? Mrs Stoud wasn't there when the same situation happened in the football locker in the OFF SEASON. She runs a tight ship and if you don't like it then sorry for you. She didn't keep Short or Loyde from playing in the guys game that came from central office. True leaders don't let teammates fight, I've been there and had to stop conflicts many times before so i'm not saying i totally agree with the decision but i respect what she did.

Regardless of who was there, someone has to keep up what is fair and balanced!

  8. I say 5 very talented players contributing all the time vs. 1 or 2 "stars" will always make for a better team, record and season. You referenced SG, they are a prime example of what team ball is all about...they all contribute and I think that's what you will see next year out of GHS.

I find that hard to believe. I sure didn't see that happen this year on their team

  9. Sorry man but I have to be with ghs coaching staff fan. I think your far off from your comments. I personally have heard coach duncan bad mouth coach crumbley to many people. He has done it since she has been here and will continue to do it. I know people that know her and they know she never uses those words either. You really have your description of her totally wrong. In fact you sound like your describing Coach Duncan himself. If you have a big problem with her then maybe you should go talk to her in person. Maybe you see some things she doesn't and you might be able to help her out!

I have to agree with the post of hoops. I think it is sad that these teams have worked hard and are punished for the actions of girls on the jv team. Come on they are teenagers and I really don't blame them for not breaking up the fight because someway it than becomes your own fight with those fighting the the administration. Stroud is bias. She should be asking where was the supervision in the locker room for this to have happened. Stroud has not issued equal punishment because if she had the devil's football team would have had a totally different outcome. SO, SHAME OF ALL THE ADULTS THAT MADE THE BAD DECISIONS!!!!!! /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

  10. I have tried this year to not say anything on this board about the Lady Devil's coach, but today I break my silence. Crumbley is a coach that opens the door to help other teams to be successful. SHE DOES NOT HAVE THE COACHING ABILITY TO TAKE THESE GIRLS TO A CHAMPIONSHIP! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

  11. So which is it...your opinion or the truth cause its a bit too subjective to be both.

"A lie told often enough becomes the truth."

    Lenin

So true Barb, there have been enough lies on this board that people in ole greene believe it to be the truth....

  12. Same reason you get upset with others for voicing their opinions, idiot.

Yes, king you are right. the king of the idiot replied. you....

  13. I don't believe that Nicole had a different game becuase she was able to touch the ball more. When she gets the ball she can make things happen, but she can also make some mistakes. I also don't believe that the season has been designed to make Deans have a great season. If you watch Deans play every game then you can never question if she is giving 100%. She works her tail off the whole game. There is several things you should look at before you start attacking and saying that Deans is not the player of the year. If you take Deans out of the picture this year you don't have a greeneville team that gets over 30 wins. Deans takes a lot of pressure off of Nicole. If Deans was not playing then you would have Nicole getting double teamed every time on the offensive end. However since Deans can score and rebound, the other team has to focus on her and Nicole. Nicole does not give 100% every game, but that is probably because of lack of competition. When she turns it on she can do whatever she wants. You also need to realize that Deans has been playing with a dislocated finger during the whole postseason. It is kind of hard to see how you are scik and tired of hearing Crumbley's quotes. There has only been a few this year. I believe the reference that you used is very correct of what the coaching staff views with Nicole. Everyone that watches the games can see unlimited potential in what Nicole can do. There is not on selfish player on this team this year. I know that this is a big difference from the past years, but sorry folks there is no "I" in team. I think the coaches at greeneville have put together an excellent team that cares nothing about anything else but winning. Their record can speak for that. I know that each are entitled to their own oppinion, however know the facts before making an a_ _ of yourself. This is for you greenevillefan91: What is your problem with the coaching staff at greeneville? I don't believe they hold a different standard for anyone on that team. They expect the same from each member of the team

You made one (a--) of yourself by not just reading the post and moving on. I really don't care if you agree with me or not because believe me there are a lot of things that have been written which I do not agree. And I am not tired of hearing her (Crumbley) quotes, only the same quotes. I am wondering how do you know who give 100%? Are you playing in their shoes that night. It may appear it not 100% for any player, but their 100% at the moment. Just open your own eyes and be real to yourself! I don't agree with you, but oh well, it is your opinion whether I agree or not.

  14. Barb anything to help you out.

Greeneville only trailed in this game once, Powell's lead only lasted on possession. From the opening tip Greeneville executed will. Greeneville played the game with a lot of discipline. They had "ZERO" turnovers in the first half. Nicole started the game bye scoring most of greenevilles points in the first quarter. Each member on the Lady Devils team were working without the ball and doing everything possible to win the ball game. Powell played some hard physical defense. I believe the past two games have benefited this team. Playing two close games made this game seem a little easier. Deans worked hard on both ends of the court. She did not score as much as she would have liked, but she was the leading rebounder on the team. Collins came in and played tremendous defense on the D-1 signee (Hollifield). Nicole started out guarding her, but picked up two silly fouls and forced the coaches to have someone else guard her. Greeneville did not shoot outside much. Devan had two go in and come back out. Lamons player her good defense. Whitney Carter stepped up big for the Lady Devils and hit some big shots. She distributed the ball well and ran the offense very well. Powell tried to pressure the Lady Devils, but were unable to create any turnovers. If it was not for the two three balls at the end of the fourth quarter Greeneville would have held their opponents under 40 points. If the lady Devils can continue to play the way they did then the possibilites are unlimited. Nicole decided to take over from the opening tip and proved to everyone that she is ready to carry this team. Overall it was a complete game from the Lady Devils Team. Good coaching through the game on both sides. Powell was a quality team, but was unable to match the play of the Lady Devils on this night.

I am curious. Why get so upset for me voicing an opinion. Read, think about and it please move on. I guess when the truth is close to home people get weird......................

  15. Love? I dont know about that..

But from what I heard on the radio - we had some unforseen circumstances go down here at the office so I didnt make the trip - Nicole Dickson continues to carry her team.

Thats scary, because she's really came to play 2 or 3 games in the last week and if she comes to play every night....and that's scary, because she's almost unstopable (and does that without breaking a sweat)...Especially with the group of girls complementing her. Continuing on Nicole's play, I know she's been ragged and busted on for not giving a full effort, but she just makes it look so easy that I could see why it wouldnt seem like she's giving a 100-percent effort (Of course, I've only seen a handful of GHS games, mostly coming in the past 3 weeks).

If Dickson can do that night-in, night-out next year....Greeneville very likely will take home another IMAC Banner.

Carter can score or just be a quiet role playing PG, McIntyre can score too, or she can be a defensive player and making plays happen on both ends of the court. Haven't heard much of Lamons lately, but she can be an outside scoring threat - just needs to be a bit more consistent. Collins makes things happen on offense and can take a load off of Deans/Dickson by putting another big in there for the defense to guard.

Deans has been very quiet this postseason offensively, with the exception of the D2-AAA title game and the Region 1 quarterfinals. But while she is quiet offensively, she's a presence there inside and always a threat to knock down that mid-to-long range jumper. The thing I like most about Deans, is again, anytime her girl touches the ball, its never where that girl wants to get it at. Deans just makes her girl get the ball at the free-throw line or above. I wonder how much the physical style of Boone and Powell affected her offensively?

That said, I think Greeneville got in the worst bracket of the two for the state. A possible semifinal with Cleveland doesnt loom friendly, but we shall see. Although the best news of the night for a Greeneville fan was that Wilson Central got bounced. I think Greeneville can hang with any of the 7 other teams down there (They hung with Cleveland at home), but as ray said...the GHS six-girl rotation is really going to be tested if they have to play 3 games in what would amount to about a 51-hour or so span. Their best bet would try to grab a big, early lead on Clarskville NE and try to give some girls a rest, but....getting a big, early lead just isnt probably going to happen at this time of year, nor is it likely to happen with Greeneville's style of play.

Fatigue could be a factor, but if they get to Saturday night, I think adrenaline and every other emotion would just kick in for another 32 minutes...

I'm not sure of the other 5 teams in the Boro (We all know Oak Ridge and Cleveland), but I think GHS can hang with any of them with their defensive p

Congratulations Lady Devils! There are a few things that I want to respond to today. I am wondering if the people on this board are thinking that Nicole had a different game because she was able to touch the ball? From what I have seen from the season, when she touches the ball, she is going to make something happen. This season has been designed to make Dean have what most think has been a great season. So, I think people forget that if you don't touch the ball, you can't make things happen. Having a great season is more than being the high scorer, you have to have the ability to make things happen all around you. I heard all the noise about Dean's this Dean's that. Ask yourself, this is the post season, is she giving 100% when playing with the bigger Girls? The Player of the year should be making things happen on every end of the floor. Has this happened not only in the post season, but all season long. Oh, I know you are going to go on the attack because I am not allowed to think differently than most of you from G"ville. This is the time of the year that stepping up your game is the most important. One lost, and you are home. I could see this board today if Dickson had not had a great game or what some of you consider being a great game. There would have been so many negative post about her not giving 100%. Well, come on Greeneville fans, Deans has not had the best post season this year, but I guess that is okay, she deserves a break. Only the player you feel like deserve a break gets it. Right? We in Greeneville hold our players to different standards. Also, I am so tired of hearing for Crumbley saying, "If she want to play,"I talked with Nicole told and told her with her ability, she needed to dominate people on the court and she made an effort to do that tonight,'' said Crumbley. ". This is Crumbley quote directly for Tricitiessport. Well Crumbley, if you want to continue on the route to a championship (state,) you might need to have this talk with your team as a whole. So, before you respond, my opionion. Get over it!

  16. Dickson and Deans are both very excellent ball players and excellent people off the court. I have to say that Deans definately deserved player of the year. Game after game she has showed up and played big. Her defense is what I love you watch. I know that Dickson is an awesome player, but you see her take some plays off on the defensive end. However Deans will work hard the whole game. Dickson is just a sophmore and has a lot to learn, but she will improve and will continue to dominate. Deans is definately what makes this team go. She leads with her actions. Greenevillefan91 you have to be joking me when you are talking about her leadership. You are in high school and don't have a clue. Start going to bed early and doing good in school and pursue something else that does not involve basketball. We all can see that your IQ of basketball is very low. I guess you must be with the crowd their at GHS that knows everything, but in reality knows nothing. Quit running your mouth about people. If you have something good to say about someone then fine, but quit bad mouthing these girls.

Good luck to greeneville in the regional tournament.

    [/quot

First of all, it is my opionion. YOU can agree or not! Your comments do not change my opionion about the game, so you need to get over it. When you look at your comments, it seems that your immaturity shines through. I am entitled to whatever opionion I WANT, so you need to deal with it. As ususal, if someone doesn't say what the norm is saying it makes that the odd ball. Well, I for one do not mind, and opinion does not change...
