CHSteamplayer, is this Centennials first ever home playoff game?
I'm not CHSteamplayer but I can answer the question. Yes, it is the first playoff game CHS has hosted!
-
This post has become a complete embarrassment for anyone who actually cares about football, FHS, CHS, and/or common decency. You should be ashamed of yourselves. CoachT shut this down, please!

If by rude you mean they were standing up cheering for their team - they were. If by rude you mean yelling at individuals then that would have been the parents from the IP team. As an adult I was embarassed for the IP parents. Centennial was missing 4 of their main players that night including Kessler and Horeka.

It rained again here. Not hard, but enough.
With the overnight rain and the predicted storms for the afternoon, have any decisions been made for todays games at Indy and Overton? I'm not far from Indy and had another 3/4 inches of rain over night

Centennial beat Franklin tonight. Called in 6th b/c of rain. Final score 6-1

Power 10: Tennessee High School Hockey
1. Father Ryan (NSH) [13-0-0] The only undefeated team in Tennessee may also be its deepest. Father Ryan boasts five players with 10+ goals.
2. Pope John Paul II (NSH) [10-2-0] Despite a surprising loss to cross-town rivals Hendersonville and another to league leaders Father Ryan, the two time defending State champs are still the team to beat.
3. Knoxville Pirates (KNX) [6-1-0] Last year's state runnerup is starting to hit its stride with five straight wins.
4. Knoxville Warriors (KNX) [6-1-0] The Warriors are just as strong as the Pirates in Knoxville, as evident by a split season series thus far, but will need to show that same mettle in States this time around.
5. Ravenwood (NSH) [9-2-0] Can they shake off last year's State disappointment? Perhaps their upcoming game against JPII will answer that.
6. Centennial (NSH) [8-3-0] Centennial's goaltending and good team defense will aid them in Nashville's regional tournament.
7. Hendersonville (NSH) [8-4-0] Which Hendersonville is for real? The one that beat JPII 3-1 or the one that got trounced by nine goals?
8. North Mississippi (MEM) [5-1-4] Memphis is truly a tossup this year, but the one loss (and four tie!) Monarchs have been awfully stingy on the defensive side of things.
9. Montgomery Bell Academy (NSH) [8-5-0] Montgomery Bell have played Father Ryan, JPII, and Ravenwood to three close losses.
10. Brentwood (NSH) [6-5-1] Brentwood rounds out the top 10 by virtue of their win over Ravenwood. It should be interesting to see how they do in the Knoxville Invitational Tournament in January.
Father Ryan is no longer undefeated. Centennial beat them 4-3 Saturday night in a great game following the Preds game.

Let's all hope this is just an ugly rumor and Chaz is fine. I was really looking forward to seeing him play.
It doesn't matter 'cause chs cant beat bhs with or w/o scales.

Here is a Centennial fan who is VERY proud of the Cougars. It has been a great year so far and it isn't over yet. Those boys have played with heart all season and they aren't through yet. The Franklin game is over. Bigger and better things are ahead for the Cougars.

that was probably the worst refereeing I have ever seen.
I wasn't there but how in the world did one team only have 2 for 15 and the other 13 for 100? Personal fouls?

Buzz up! A 28-yard field goal by senior Austin Bass as the final seconds of the game ticked off the clock, helped edge the Centennial Cougars past 6-5A opponent Dickson County Friday night, 44-41.
Centennial improves to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the region while Dickson County slips to 0-6, and 0-3.
It was the home team, Dickson County that jumped out on the scoreboard first, taking a 21-0 lead in the first quarter.
Dickson County made the most of two fumble recoveries and an interception to put points on the board.
But huge yardage on the ground by Centennial quarterback Chaz Scales (168 yards rushing) and running back Tony Kemp (241 yards rushing) kept their team in the game.
???Four turnovers in the first half and poor tackling, that had a lot to do with tonight, but give Dickson County credit. They did some great things making the most of their opportunities,??? Centennial head coach Mark Matykiewicz said.
???But this is one of those wins that we are fortunate enough to get and hopefully we learn from it.
???Our starting tailback was questionable all week (Ray-Mond Jackson), so we gave the ball to Tony and he??™s really talented.???
In the first half, it was Dickson County that came up with some special plays with Stetson Pendegrass scoring first for Dickson on a 48-yard pass from Trae Weiss, and then Cody McCallister scored on an 89-yard run to put the home team up 14-0.
Mickey Hannah rounded off the scoring for Dickson County in the first, with a 7-yard run and Luke Moore kicked his third extra point to put Dickson up, 21-0.
It was the first time all season that Dickson County has had the lead in a game and it looked like they held the momentum.
But between Scales and Kemp, Centennial battled back in the second half with both scoring touchdowns to help their team take the lead late in the third, 34-27.
In the fourth, a 7-yard scoring run by Kemp extended that lead to 41-33.
Dickson County wasn??™t down for the count though, pushing their way back down the field and after 11 plays, Hannah tied the game (41-41) with a 2-yard run up the middle and 3:08 left in the game.
Centennial made the most of their running game to burn down the clock and put Bass in position to kick the winning field goal.
Game scoring:
Dickson County: 21 6 0 14=41
Centennial: 7 14 13 10=44

Congrats to Centennial on a great season 26-7 nothing to be ashamed of. A lot of juniors also, should be tough next year.
Drew Kelly - 1942 career points, most celebrate 1000 and here is the scary thing he is one of those juniors. Great job I look forward to watching you and your team next year.
I agree Mojack! This is a great group of kids. The seniors had a great final season and the returning juniors will have a great year next year as well. I look forward to another great season of Cougar basketball!!
