  1. I agree that it wasn't LA's best performance. However, they still managed to get the job done. I think that Brad Jackson did a great job in the second half scoring all of his 13 points. LA seemed to struggle in the paint. Will Peterman also played a pretty good game. Dunn also played well, he had 26 even though he was in foul trouble most of the second half.

The thing I liked the most was TJ Smith finally getting in gear late in the fourth when he hit a 3 pointer and then came down and made that great pass to Clint West who scored on the lay-up. I think West ended up with 9 points.

Imagine what this team would look like if they were all clicking on the same night. Scary?

  2. And you all resort to bashing, which I am fine with I can take it. I definitely will not lose any sleep over it. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

I'm glad you can take a good bashing. However, I have not read any posts that are even close to what you might call a "bash". I simply stated some facts and scrubby merely bragged on your unique insight of the game of basketball and nicely asked you to enlighten him a little more. Was anyone worried about you losing sleep? I figured you didn't sleep much anyways being involved with basketball as much as you are.

Anyways, I'm tired of this silly kid... Lets start a new LA thread on the next game.

  3. Yes everybody should have trouble with elite teams, especially if you are not one of them.

Livingston Academy has won 57 of their last 73 games. That is a shade over 78%. They have won 24 of their last 25 games. They have only lost one game since last December. (and that game was to the State Champions) So you may be on to something when you say they aren't an elite program. They have probably just been on a really lucky hot streak. Besides, anyone who looks at their schedule knows that they don't play any tough teams. With a pancake schedule like they have had the last two seasons who shouldn't win all those games.. But, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Someone with your basketball connections must have a good grasp on local basketball.

  4. LA is still a little sluggish. However, they are starting to play even better together. When they get back into basketball condition and get the rust knocked off they will be a very competitive team. Not to mention Sells should be back in about a month.

  5. Obviously I touched a soft spot. Is Chase your boyfriend? Did I say I hope Chase reads this and gets mad? I went to the game hoping to see Chase Dunn really light it up, and he did. But not the right way. I thought he would be a leader, but whenever he got touched he showed a lot of weakness falling every time. GOD get over it!!! Dunn looking at the ref, then the coach after every SINGLE play that he got a foul called on him with the look of WTF! Gets old, I dont know why he thinks he is king and should not have anything called on him. I cannot wait for him to get to Tech, because hopefully he has a new attitude. It gets old to watch somebody with that kind of attitude play for four quarters. Im glad you all put up with it.

Talk about picking the little stuff out. You are complaining about warm up music, and a definition on a wall. Good for you!!! Yes everybody should have trouble with elite teams, especially if you are not one of them.(LA, Harpeth)

Also have I ever said Chase Dunn is not good? I have never heard a rant about nothing until I read your last post. Congrats.

Wow! You have already showed your lack of basketball knowledge. You can't even tell the difference in attitude and emotion. The players with emotion are the ones that make. Dunn is a great example of what hard work and alot of heart can accomplish. The kid is tiny and he is going D-1. You think Tech is going to sign someone who is 5 feet tall if they don't play nearly perfect. Dunn is a role model, who thrives on comments like that. So, keep them coming.

But on a serious note: The run-out music that you mentioned wasn't even edited. Thats a class act considering little kids were at the game. I thought LA played very sloppy and still won by 18.

  6. Your post confused me lol by saying beast are you meaning Dunn having 35 or the team having 35 then im guessing your saying Deven ramsey is huge? Any your wanting freshman in during the second half. And are you makinig that comment to coach M if so what happened or are you coach M? And what pictures are you talking about. Where am I? Im runnging on two hours sleep so if your post made sense to everyone else im sorry. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> By the way im still looking for someone to buy my popcorn /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

If you click on the Underlined portion that the arrows are pointing at it will show you a picture. I just did that to show off the great pictures that CoachT took at the CPA game the other night. You should buy some of the pictures to help the ol' CoachT out. Two hours of sleep? Sounds like your ready for a nap on this rainy day. /bored.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bored:" border="0" alt="bored.gif" />

    I would like some some free popcorn tomorrow night also. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

  7. Either way.. LA starts their season 2-0.. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Congrats to LA for a great start to the season. CPA played well last night. If/when these two teams meet a again it will be a great game. Best of luck to CPA for the rest of the season.

  8. Did his team win? Did you happen to catch his name? Be a little more informative.

Yes, his name is Mason Ramsey. He brought his team back from down 16 to take it to OT. (He has two older brothers who play for LA now) But, they lost by about ten or so in OT. No reason to get into more details since this is a highschool topic. I was just saying that the

    LA depth will continue for several more years... GO HOG-EYE! /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

We are just over 5 hours away from tip-off...

  9. Anyone played any games yet? LA plays tonight against Clarksville NE...

I think Upperman is the favorite, but Livingston will probably split with them during the season. LA, like Upperman, didn't really lose anything from last year. Coach Smith has all of her key players returning. Which ever team avoids upsets from York and Smith Co. will be the team to go into the tourney #1.

Coach Smith always finds a way to win late in the season. Could there be 2 teams from 7AA make the State Tourney?

  10. Just a few hours away until the talking will end and the show will begin.

'SportsfanTN2010', its kinda hard to say that Dunn isn't an OVC player when he has already signed with an OVC team. That must just be jealousy talking.

I still can't believe how loaded and how deep LA is this year. I was at a local middle school game last night and there was a huge kid that had about 40 points. Looks like the pool is deep for Coach Melton.

  11. Looks like Upperman is looking better than some people expected. They just might take LA down before the season is over. It also looks like they have beefed up their schedule some.. They must have been taking notes from a powerhouse program.. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  12. I have heard some good things about Clay Co. I hope they have a great season.

I just looked at their schedule.. They need to add some stronger teams in the future. If its not a district game you should play up a division. If nothing else just to get you ready for tourney time. Upperman was the only major team I noticed.

  13. Not trying to put Station Camp down, but they just don't have what it takes to be a tournament winning team.

Look at the way the LA wildcats upset them last year. (If you consider it an upset) You can have a player go off and it be alot of help, (ex: Dunn scoring 50+) but if you don't have alot of good players to go with it (like LA) your just not going to win many big games. If Jenkins would have had any help last year the Wildcats would not have beat them. And he will have even less help this year... JMO
