  1. Well sometimes I need people like you to help me figure things out and I sure do appreciate it. If I'm not mistaken, and I could be, I've seen you predict several games yourself. Making predictions is all in fun for me. Gosh, I don't recall ever claiming the ability to predict the future. That would be nice though, I could probably become a rich person. I really don't know why my question struck a nerve, but I will explain my comment. I was only saying it would have been just as easy to say if Peterman and West have a big game then LA WILL win. We all assume Dunn will get his and that is why I ask the question. And I think we have come to expect Smith to play well. He has been the 2nd leading scorer all year. Ramsey had a big game Saturday and I think West had 15 when LA won the Upperman game @ Livingston. A repeat performance of that would be nice. I won't try to predict the future too much. I will only say LA wins the game.

Sounds good Bubble. Your comment didn't strike a nerve. I was just letting you know that I agree with you. However, you should make a prediction. I am going to make mine.

    My future prediction:

    LA - 79

    UH - 68

  2. I totally agree!!! Both coaches are really working with these young kids. They teach more than just basketball. Both coaches have class and integrity. Not like the Livingstons and Uppermans pressing with their starters while being up 28 points in the 4th quarter. One day DeKalb and Cannon will be the 2 top teams in the District and I hope the coaches for the the other 2 previously mentioned teams are still around to get back what they have been dishing out. Good luck to both programs in the upcoming years.

Not showing much class or intelligence for that matter for you to post something like this. I have never heard such poor attempt at a put down. Livingston and Upperman coaches may have their flaws, but they certainly have plenty of class and integrity. They can't help the fact that their 2nd string is just as good as most team's 1st string. I have never seen either coach have their starters in and still be pressing while up 25+ in the 4th quarter.

This is nothing more than a weak attempt to put two coaches down by a very sore loser. The only thing LA and Upperman have been dishing out is losses to other teams. If you don't like it, spend more time in the gym and be able to compete one day.

  3. Any particular reason OCF why you think the game hinges on big performances from these two? Another 4 pt performance from Dunn would not be good, although he passed the ball really well. A solid performance from Peterman would be huge. And West has been shooting the 3 really well the last few games. Let's hope that continues. As I stated earlier, I underestimated Upperman. I really believe it will take good games from several for the Cats to win. Which I do think LA will win.

Hinges? Never said that the a victory depended on these two. I said that if they have a big game we will win. Maybe I should have said we should win if those two play big. Be hard to lose with those two playing well along with Dunn's usual performance. We could win without them having a good game. Just imagine how hard it would be to beat us with those two playing extremely well... Or any other 2 wildcats for that matter have a big night along with Dunn's usual performance.

With you being able to predict the future you should have been able to figure that one out on your own. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Whats your prediction on the score?

  4. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> GOOOOOOOOOO BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

  5. Not only did John deserve to make the McDonald's game because of his stat line but also because of his work ethic and character. Im not saying that there aren't kids that don't work as hard or aren't as humble. But he is constantly working on his game and he does not sing his own praises. He is an awesome kid and its ashame that he was left out of the game. Hopefully he can use this as motivation for Vandy and show everybody what they were missing out on. Best of luck to ya John

Best high school player I have ever seen. Just might be the extra motivation that he needs to carry SC to wins over Upperman and LA and on to the State Tournament.

  6. I happened to come from an area where MANY local players went on to play, and some to STAR, on Division 1 teams.------ Several of these players also went on to play in the NBA. ---If coming from an area such as that makes you an authority on high school basketball, then maybe I can lay claim to knowing a little bit about the game. I also believe that I've probably watched as many or more high school games than you have.-----If you're not impressed with this young man's play, either you've not seen him play or you don't know anywhere near as much about the game as you think you do.-----I've seen a lot of good shooters and I've never seen one that I could say was a better shooter.(Maybe as good-- but not better) -------Saying there are a lot of kids that could average over 40 pts. a game is a joke.-----In another post you talked about his bad attitude. That is also a joke.----I've seen him play several times and never have I seen ANYTHING that would make me think he had a bad attitude. As a matter of fact, I've seen him hacked, bumped and roughed up without showing any emotion other than more determination.-------I've read your posts on other threads and frankly I thought you had more class than to get on here and put down a young man who IMO is one heck of a role model for other kids.

    Ouch.. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  7. livingston has one of the best teams in the state that has been proven. station camp has the best player in the state and a decent supporting cast. livingston also has dunn who is great. i think these two teams are destined to meet for the region no disrespect to upperman, macon, or white house, but these are two great teams with excellent players. if they were to meet what would be the result?

Both teams better just worry about making it there first. Upperman just might want to crash the party.

  8. Correct me here if I'm wrong, but wasn't the coin flip ONLY for seeding purposes. I thought LA and Upperman were Co Champs before, during, and after the flip. Winning the flip doesn't mean LA is the champion. And yes I think LA has won outright or shared the District crown for 4 years in a row. If winning the flip made LA sole champs then double congratulations for being lucky enough to win the flip. Undoubtedly, it will be LA-Upperman in the district title game. And as stated in another thread, I hope the Cats pull it off because John Jenkins puts a little fear in me. Assuming of course SC wins their District which I'm sure they will.

    No Mercy /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Yes your correct. I just meant that this is the 4th year in a row that LA has finshed on top of district 7AA. (Tied or alone) That is pretty impressive.

  9. If your refering to Kailen Melton he's a sophmore. West should get defense. Dakota Key should've got it if he wouldnt of gotten hurt.

My bad, You are right about that. I'll fix it. He is pretty good for a sophmore though isn't he...

  10. MVP = Dunn (LA) (If other coaches don't vote him as the 4th or 5th best)

Coach of The Year = Melton (LA) (Deserves it, probably won't get it)

I don't really know enough of the names to list much else.

All District should include: Nash (UH), Baxter (UH), TJ Smith (LA),

All Defensive team should include: Peterman (LA), West (LA)

All Freshmen team should include: hard to say... My guy was a sophmore.. lol

** Who are some others that deserve to be on this list?

  11. Can't believe this thread hasn't been closed, but it seems like it's now cooling off and getting back to the topic. Let me stray again because there's been discussion of Dunn being player of the year.

How many think Dunn will be a Mr. Basketball finalist?

I think that he will be a finalist. Can't win it, but a finalist he will be. Would be crazy to think that he isn't going to get another district MVP.

  12. you gotta be f*****g kidding ....it's bull s**t!!!.....get your s**t straight.

This might be the person your girls heard this type of language from. Tacky?

    grow up people!!

Did someone say something about true colors already in this thread?

    /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  13. Oh and I'm sure #24's ankles are a little sore from being completely shaken everytime he came out to guard Dunn. Keep it up Chase! Notice he quit coming out so close after a while...

The ankle 'breaking' was quite entertaining. Dunn was just messing around and the other kid nearly fell down twice on one play.

Both teams played very hard. It was probably the best game of the night in the whole state.

BTW Bee fans, you better hope you win that tournament on the neutral floor. Because if you do not, John Jenkins will take you out.

I am sure LA looks at it the same way... They better win on the neutral site so that Jenkins might take care of Upperman for them.
