Station Camp had a few guys step up and make some 3's that I don't think they would normally make. However, you have to give them credit. They came out ready to play. Jenkins is GOOD.

Is it possible that LA may a little overated? Maybe but i doubt it. They are a very good team. Just like Cannon County, they did not bowl over Dekalb County as predicated by several people. I enjoy watching good basketball and in my opinion you do not have to go out of this district.

I am sure you wish that was the case. I agree with Rabbit. Coach Melton and his team will get rolling when it matters. The awesome thing is, we are talking about a team with 1 loss being in a slump. Like I have said all year long.. Just wait untill this team is hitting on all cylinders.

Its hard to stop them as it is now. Last season we saw Dunn have the night of his life when he needed it most. This season I say we will see this Team's night when we really need it most.. (state championship game perhaps) The team is already playing great... And its only gonna get better.

Dunks are cool, but it is still just two points. I prefer the shots from beyond the arc. They require a little more touch.

Indeed I have given. My grandfather had cancer, so I know what it does to people and what families go through.

Thats sad. I have had some relatives die of cancer myself. Its a great foundation. Its good to see the world of sports get involved in things like this.

The problem has nothing to do with coaching. Phil Jackson couldn't turn a mule into a race horse. PC is a very small town. The pool has just ran dry. It happens. It comes and it goes. It will be back in about 8 to 10 years I'm sure. I have seen PC play about 3 times this year. It wouldn't matter if they knew the game 10 times better than some of the teams they have played, they just are not athletic enough or born with the basketball talent that some other kids are. Its not their fault. Thats just life. You do the best with what you got. PC has a good group of kids. They work hard. They will get a little better.

livingstons girls coach needs a lesson in sportsmanship after keeping a girl in just so she could get her 30 points.. you would think a coach like that would know better.. just goes to show you the character of some of the coaches in that district

Your crying on the wrong board. This is the boys board. Its not the coach's job to tell her player to stop scoring. Its the other coach's job to figure out how to stop her.

Melton and Dunn will be over looking dekalb. If dekalb's shooters show up DC will be right there to take the victory. Here is what they will have to do:

 

1 Draw first blood, Denman and Willoughby need to get there shots falling early.

 

2. put Pottete on Dunn this is the kid before he got in foul trouble but shut down John Jenkins when he was on him he held Jenkins to 8 points. When Jenkins let out was when martin put wiggins on him.

 

3. Slow Slow Slow Slow down, dekalb you do not need to run and gun with these guys. When you beat them 2 years ago thats what you did.

 

4. Dont be predictable mix it up be patient move the ball till you get what you need not want.

 

5. Turn LA over you need to turn them over about 16 to 17 times if you do the first 4 this will happen and LA will go to the house and will Melton and his boys will just get frustated effort will still be there, but bad decisions will occur.

Coach Melton has never overlooked any team in his coaching career. I highly doubt he will start now. Especially after a loss. Coach Melton has only lost 2 games in a row three times in his career. He is always a little extra focused after a loss.

The win from 2 years ago that you are talking about... I think that was the 3 point victory. I think that was the game where that cool ref wanted to show everyone just how much power he had. Didn't Melton get thrown out that game for bringing it to the attention of the ref how terrible of a job he was doing? (which led to extra free-throws) Then LA went to Dekalb and beat them by 13.

Other than that, your plan seems to be put together pretty well. You still have to be able to carry those plans out though. LA will improve to 9-1 and DC will fall to 6-5.

our varsity should be the jv with all the sophmores that play on varsity that is just freshmen bascially.... the rematch will be close it dont matter what you say the team knows they can beat LA and will prove it next time they play all they got to do is limit turnovers and they will get the W
