1. QUOTE(champion13 @ Feb 20 2007 - 12:51 AM) 826380551Ouch, so they have no open dates a year?

    that is kinda rough situation.

Anyway this has gone off topic.

Congrats to Mt. Juliet/Johnson and Sycamore/Weeks.

Hopefully you guys provide us with some more good ones next year. It is amazing watching these two coach against one another. Although I admit 4 times a year is a little much. =p

I am not so sold on the new coach at Sycamore. What makes a coach great? Looks like she took Russell's team and ran with it.

  2. QUOTE(champion13 @ Feb 20 2007 - 12:37 AM) 826380541I wouldnt call them "very good." They are decent but not what I meant by going outside the conference and playing someone that will get you ready for tournaments.

Let's get this right. Siegel played everyone they had to play by rule (county) and beat WJB twice. When it came to the area they handled Coffman by 16. In Rutherford County you are handcuffed because you have to play Rutherford teams. I say handcuffed, but I would put Rutherford County teams up against anyone. Rock Springs only lost by 12 to Mt. Julet.

  3. QUOTE(champion13 @ Feb 20 2007 - 12:16 AM) 826380527How much talent do they have coming back?

Congrats to Coach Johnson and Mt. Juliet for a great season and championship. I think you girls only lost 4 games this year (two to sycamore.) Very impressive.

Also congrats to Coach Weeks and Sycamore for a good season. Disappointing to not see these girls go back to back, but the 2 year record of 44-2 is pretty nice.

Stoeker and Weeks both have a tough year to come if either plan on winning the 08 sectional. Mt. Juliet will be loaded next year returning a good bit of players.

Although I dont think siegel plays mt juliet in the season. I'm sure we will see sycamore and mt juliet for like the 9th, 10th and 11th time next year.

Maybe Siegel will go out of their conference next year and play mt. juliet or sycamore.

Siegel went out of their conference and beat a good Lebanon team twice. They had a player go down that made them weaker than in the summer. I think it was Hassell's sister.

you never know what new phenomn will be coming. Sometimes all it takes is one player to throw you over the top.

  5. QUOTE(bubbabear @ Feb 19 2007 - 11:59 PM) 826380503wrong! wouldn't put stoeker anywhere near johnson.

You are probally right. Stoeker hasn't been around as much as Johnson. He has had the girls in the final 4 3 of the past 5 years, but nothing like Mt. Juliet. I think he won a TNT with the boys though, There is a tradition at Mt. Juliet and Siegel is new.

  6. QUOTE(bubbabear @ Feb 19 2007 - 11:54 PM) 826380492to bad coach johnson doesn't teach his fans to have alittle class and respecr for themselves. i would say you sound like the coach but coach johnson has much more class than you

Coach Johnson and Coach Stoeker have a lot of class! Both coaches have had a lot of success in the past few years which will show up in the high school program. Good luck to Mt. Juliet and Siegel!!

  7. QUOTE(champion13 @ Feb 19 2007 - 11:47 PM) 826380474you must be "mr positive" or his helper.

Did you go in at half or at the end of the third? did you take good notes for monday? did the post eat you up tonight?

    QUOTE(bubbabear @ Feb 19 2007 - 11:47 PM) 826380477coach??? thanks i'll take that as compliment

did you forget who you were loged in as?

Coach now that is a joke!

  8. QUOTE(champion13 @ Feb 19 2007 - 08:34 PM) 826379953In tonights finals the Sycamre girls lost to Mt. Juliet. Coach Johnson had them ready to play. The sycamore girls were off all night. They never really found their groove. Tonights game meant sycamore and mt juliet split this year, 2-2. Each with a season win, Sycamore with an area win and mt juliet with the sectional win. Congrats to both.

Let me guess, Mt. Juliet by 20+. I am sure that is why you didn't post the score. Champion didn't you throw Siegel to the dogs for not being prepared? Was Sycamore prepared or was it a fluke?

    Siegel 18-2 Conference Champs

    Area Champs

    lost to Mt. Juliet

    Sycamore 18-2 Conference Champs

    Area Champs

    lost to Mt. Juliet

    IS THERE A DIFFERENCE?????

  9. QUOTE(champion13 @ Feb 15 2007 - 10:10 PM) 826373842

More comments on the Mt. Juliet and Siegel game.

I think siegel is over rated. The only good team they played was Blackman if I remember correctly.

I just think it is hilarious that they obviously didnt prepare for Mt. Juliet. I mean their coach even kept his girls out in the gym to the end of the 3rd quarter of the sycamore game watching them. I hope all those notes do him well saturday...

I think you missed the boat on Siegel! They had two starters playing with the flu last night and one starter at home with the flu. It is difficult to prepare without your guns. The blonde post would have helped, but it was obvious Cason and the red head were sick as dogs last night. Siegel wasn't at full strength!

Mt. Juliet went to the locker room after Siegel by the way. Don't you think any coach would have watched their potential competition? I am sure the coaches had already scouted both teams at Lebanon.

Siegel had a great year only losing 2 games, both of which were when they had injuries or sickness. They did beat Blackman and everone else they played including Coffman by 16 last weekend.

With that said, Mt. Juliet played well last night.
