1. iluvit,

i'm gonna blast what you wrote. But before i do let me say that if you clear up what you wrote and make it not seem like a stab at the boys and coach Melton, then i'll say that I misunderstood. I take it by your "SHOULD" "finally" and "never will be" that you might be pleased if LA wasn't playing in the STATE TOURNAMENT. and you seem to have a problem with the fact that some of the players are related to the coach.

    here goes.

Man! I gotta get to one of these reunions! I'll bet they sell tickets for the pick up games after dessert. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I heard the next one is gonna be at Thompson Boling Arena because its such a large family. Candace is gonna get Sheldon to help guard down low. Maybe you should change your name from iluvit to ijealousofit.

Your insult doesn't even insult coach. it insults all the guys on the team that aint realated to him. They have worked so hard. I'd say any team that reaches the BORO has worked there butts off. DId you see the packed gym at LA in the substate game. Lots of true fans there! Do all of us true fans a favor. if what you wrote was what it obvioulsy was...a slam on the LA boys basketball program, then you "SHOULD" save your money and time and energy. Stay home. Don't go to the STATE TOURNAMENT and watch. Dont even turn on your radio. All of these kids, and they are all related to someone, will get out there and make us true fans proud no matter what the outcome is. They will continue to work hard. Look how its already paid off!

"Never will be"? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> LA only has two seniors. Ill betchya this isn;t there last trip to the STATE TOURNAMENT. I may not agree with everything the coach and the players do when it comes to the game. Well i guess i can;t think of a coach or team that i always agree with. But that is part of sports and life. Its amazing the success of this team and you make a ridiculous post like that.

GO LA! Its been awesome watching ALL of you. Love following you guys. We are behind you all the way. Play your game and you can beat anyone. Start with Fulton and take care of anyone between you and the gold ball. You deserve it!

i hope they win it too. i was just saying that these kids know each other well. i wasn't bashing the program. i said they should b/c if they have came this far then they should be ready. I was going to go to the game but as I was leaving, I seen that i had 5 cows out. It took me 30 minutes to put them up, and the drive from pickett would be too long to barely make the last half. I listened to it and it sounded like LA had it together. I wasn't bashing the program. i was stating that all of these kids know each other well. I watched some grade school ball and most of these kids were on the same team. So i assume these kids know what the other one is going to do. I hope livingston goes all the way. we dont have a team close by that has made it this far. i would rather livingston win than fulton.

  2. Melton SHOULD have his team ready to play. He's coached everyone of these kids since 4th grade. With the exception of one or two, but they might as well played for him. These kids have played together for many years. If they aren't finally ready by now, they will never be. Most of these kids know what the other one is going to do. They see each other at every family reunion. They know each other pretty good. Should be a good game.

  3. Good job LA, but pickett held their own. LA is weak inside.

With TC there, it would have been a different game. Jacob Wright showed up to play, and so did the others. They came within 4, i think, at one time. Good job PC. If Pickett had 2 more players to go in, pickett would be hard to handle, i dont know for sure, but i heard rumors over the summer of kids going up there, but they are still gonna be hard to handle. For single A ball, they can play with the best of 3A. Keep it up PC!!!

yes, i heard that there were 2 going up there, but i didnt hear any names. you're right moneyhoney, they can hang with the best!

  4. QUOTE(MoneyHoney @ Feb 18 2007 - 08:35 PM) 826378288Hey pickett fan, LA didnt show you guys how good they can play. They can play much better than they did against you guys. And why do you guys play Rocky Top at your games?

I didnt know we had to have a reason. If anything its a classic

  5. QUOTE(OldCatFan @ Feb 17 2007 - 08:05 PM) 826376827Can you say Brian Colson, Jamie Vaughn, and Wilson Cates? Wouldn't it be great to have those 3 back again?

Yeah, those are 3 boys that you dont want to mess with. What about Whitney Coleman? Tyler Livingston? Curtis Beaty? Jake Reeder?

  6. QUOTE(wildcat324 @ Feb 18 2007 - 03:25 PM) 826377787Nobody said Livingston thought it would be easy...but I don't think that SC has got what it takes to play with them. Go ahead and bring up past games if you must but LA will win I think and if I had to say by how many then i will say by 11. Stover will have a big game as will Ramsey and Dunn. That's right, Dunn(MVP) will be playing. Just landed wrong last night during the game. He'll be there waiting on your precious Owls. So you should probably start planning a way to stop him because he will not lose, nor will Coach Melton (Coach of the Year) Let his team lose. I'm sure this will be a good game, but I am still going to stay with my boys. LA by 11. Get used to it...

Amen to that. Smith better bring it. Dunn and Stover will have a big game, so will Ramsey if he wants to win. Jeremy will be hot off the bench, if he doesn't start. LA showed us what they can do, but we showed them what we can do also. I would have to say LA by 15 if they bring it. If LA doesn't bring it, LA by 5.

  7. iluvit have u seen this guy play?

no, i haven't. all I worry about is single A basketball. I hope LA meets up with them. I'd say that will be a good game. There is no way that kid can run a 4.4 40. I know he aint quicker that our TC at PC. There is no way. Are they letting him run 30 yards before starting the timer?

  8. QUOTE(MoneyHoney @ Feb 18 2007 - 02:05 PM) 826377646LA wil win this one... this will be a big game.... all the girls need to step up a play a great game..... Coach Smith does a good job going deep in to bench... those girls never skip a beat.... good luck Lady Wildcats!!!!!!

you people from hogeye sound confident.... hope it works.... i wouldn't be too confident....Good Luck to both teams.

LA should win this one... but you never know.

  9. Well well well, you people from Jackson Co talk a lot... but you gotta back it up.... yeah we went with the underdogs - Clarkrange - and they won... well i guess we'll see Clarkrange in the finals. JC what were you thinking? You can't underestimate no one. You have to take one game at a time. Never look past no one. We will be your district champs.

  10. LA - Smith in finals..... la will nedd to play hard to win this one... smith played hard against upperman and they will bring everything they have in this final game.... if la plays like they played against us, they will lose.... i predict that la will win by about 15...

  11. yes, our pickett played good last night. I loved the way TC got on the floor when there was loose balls. He may not have a a record breaking night, but he hit the floor everytime the ball was loose. I don't think no one would like to be between the ball and TC when it was on the floor. You better get out of the way cause TC will get that ball. Jacob played good. Pickett Co. will be your district champ.

  12. QUOTE(King21 @ Feb 12 2007 - 04:00 PM) 826369021

glad coach melton and dunn got it they both deserve it....dunn is definitely on another level than anyone else in the district, if not 2 or 3 levels, no he isnt lebron, but if he was 6'6" or so we'd def know he was, as of now, he is the best, and will be for at least 2 more years, sorry bout the truth, and coach meltons record and back to back district season titles speak for their self dont they?

well, I think he needs to stay about the same size he is.. he needs to grow maybe two or three inches... There is some 6' 6" and 6' 8" players that can barely catch the ball. Dunn is amazing to watch.... he is a great player.. keep it up dunn

  13. I have only saw Livingston play in 3 games this year, when they played Pickett both times and when they played at Cookeville. Livingston needs a post to step up. If Dunn shoots well, like he normally does, and if a post player will step up, I think LA should beat Upperman by 15-20 if both of those happen. LA has a deep bench. Coach Melton has been using that. At Cookeville Melton went pretty far into the bench. I like to see kids come on the floor and play pretty good. This Upperman game will be a tough one, but LA needs to play good and they will win by 15-20.
