  1. Dont get your panties in a wad................ Trust me I am a 100% supporter and have the coaches back many times in the stands, off the field and on here.. I support the concept 100% even though I sometimes wonder the reasoning for some things but that is not my buisness.. You use my post like I said something wrong? Questions were being asked , and was the game really that close. So my post praises the Defense and YES it was close. ... READ before you put your foot in your mouth. Nothing negative was said on my part. Are you being bashed?????????????? I dont think so. Your Defense is on a drastic uphill climb, you had Hickman county stands sitting quiet, for awhile. Hats off to you. But dont use my post to say your being second guessed............................ GOOD JOB COACH.... ? What more do you want ?

Shut your mouth! If you have a problem with our program see "ME" in person and do not post this garbage on a pubic forum again!

    Matt Jones

    Head Football Coach

    East Hickman High School

  2. Congratulations to Coach Shadowens and what he, his staff and players have been able to accomplish in recent years. I am sure that he has the best interest of his family in mind as he makes this transition, good luck to him in future endeavors.

If I was a Smyrna supporter, I am not sure that I would be so quick to jump on the Coach Rankin bandwagon. All due respect, his record speaks for itself in regards to the won/loss column but I would want someone that would have program loyalty and that has been a part of the investment of building the Smyrna program into what it has become.

I am sure that the head coaching vacancy at Smyrna will draw a lot of attention from interested applicants. I am also sure that the administration will try to find the best candidate to keep the program heading in the right direction. I would look hard internally to find that candidate. I hope that Coach Keasler throws his hat into the ring, I believe that he would do a fine job.

I too, think that coach Keasler would be a great choice. I am confident that the "powers that be" know what a fine job he has done.

  3. Don't know yet.

The Carthage Courier said the job will be posted for 5 days and then interviews would start.

    I haven't heard any names.

The majority of people in Gordonsville would like Mark Medley to take over, but I don't know if he wants it.

And, IMO, there is a couple of coaches on staff besides Medley that are capable of doing the job.

From what I've heard, Scott Clemons is more or less the interim right now, and if what I heard is true, I like some of the things he's doing.

There has also been a lot of player to quit and some players kicked off, most were going to be starters.

So, whoever the coach is, people will have to patient with him the first year or two, because it will be a young team.

What about Shawn Frye? Is he still coaching in G'ville?

  4. Is Coach King still there? Pound for pound, he was the second best coach who wore glasses ever--this is open for discussion.

Regardless, kick behind this year Fairview and 'go do that vodoo that you do so well.

Second to Putnam, of course! What coach King lacks in basketball skills he makes up for with "DANG-NASTY" coaching ability. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

  5. They still have one more week before Marshall County coach....they are in a Jamboree @ the great Huntingdon High School and play against Bruceton....who seems to have gotten better!!!!

As far as the Dead Horse....you are the one that got this started with your OVER THE TOP statements in the paper...in a sense you were the first to kick the horse when it was down....so you can blame this topic on yourself....I just hope the water doesn't get to hot before your first season is over....

I think you will see real soon that your in a place that does not have the destiny to succeed....some of those kids do not have the will to be good, that is why "most" of them never tried at HCHS....and yes there were some good athletes from East, but those that gripe and complain were not even close to being descent. Good luck Coach Jones and I think you have learned the best place for you stay away from is CoachT....You have fanned a Flame that needs no help....and to think you made comments as if you were an East or HC OG....Give me a Break!!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!! We have been needing more bulletin board material in our field house. Your willingness to take the bait is impressive to say the least. The only thing better than you giving EAST kids more of a reason to get fired up is the thought of you buying a ticket to the EHHS / HCHS game FURTHER supporting EHHS football. If you can't make it to the game you can use that money to buy another "soap box"!!!!!!!!

    THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!

  6. Former Riverdale assistant Jason Scharsh is the head football coach. Does anyone even have to mention the name of the assistant coach that Eagleville picked up for this season (CF)????????

I did not see CF in at the game, but I did see a tremendous football team. Eagleville has one of the largest offensive lines that I have seen since Pearl-Cohn in 2001 (I know you remember that JJ). They also have a RB by the name of Steve Masten ( REMEMBER THAT NAME) which is one heck of a back. Coach Sharsh has a very talented and classy squad. Good luck to the eagles in the upcoming season.

  7. Coach Jones you need to get a Hickman County Email and stop using that Dickson one....those people in Lyles are going to run you out for two-timing them...oh yeah by the way Welcome to the Wild World of Hickman County Athletics!!!!!!!!!

  8. that is a good number....how was summer workouts before the dead period?

We have not been allowed to workout in our weight room due to the final stages of construction of the school. We have put an emphasis on position specific conditioning, plyometrics, as well as team speed. Before the dead period we had 95% varsity attendance and 80% freshmen attendance.

  9. Me thinks Coach Jones needs a few more feathers in his hat.Watch out for the Donkey formation.I dont know!!!If he will just give the ball to Dontae........................HES GONE!Cant beat a pink worm with a spinner and a red bead. Are thier colors gonna be black and orange and thier mascot the yellow jackets? The human head weighs 8lbs.Go get the footballs.....they are on top of the dugout.Hey......nice buck............didnt practice start 30 minutes ago?

There is a lot of land out there! And there he stood, Alan Jackson, I'll never remember that (I said to myself as I was llokin' out my earhole.....................REALLY I was lookin' out my earhole)!

Na sir, in his bandThe flying veer formationMaybe ya do!!!Never be another, just pretnders trying to get goneGotta go with the water mellon green, Blueberry, and the tried and tested tomatoes running off the TEXAS rig, 1/4 ounce bullWhat are the colors EH?Really depends on the head I guessNice place to keep em until ya need em, but somebody has to get em downThat meat in the freezer fed a few broke and hungry college kids for a couple of months, for sho!!!Oh the price we pay with card board boxes, IOU's seem to never get payed in full

B_BUCKS! You still owe me boy!

  10. I thought the human head weighed between 12-14lbs. OH WELL!!! Dontae has to be out of eligibility by now one would have to assume

The average human head weighs 8 lbs. But if your last name is Jackson and your from Joelton your head will weigh between 12-14 lbs. And your brother will wear one white glove.

  11. 1. Lipscomb - Always good with ecxellent coaching

    2. Marshall Co - Tons of talent, better coaching, could actually win it

    3. Cheatham Co - Will be back after a down year last year, great coaching staff

    4. Giles Co - Tons of talent, decent coaching, but other teams in region are too good

    5. Page - Will improve

    6. Creekwood - Should be fighting for 3rd or 4th, but stubborn coaching staff...

    7. Spring Hill - Who really knows about this team, has talent....

    8. Montgomery Central - Needs to play Houston and Stewart Co about 10 times to be have a chance of winning 5 games...

Coach Daniel runs a great ship at CW. His assistants are as good as they come in high school football. CW will be tough in region 5-AAA this season. Good luck bird, staff, and players! You know we'll be pulling for you here at EAST!

  12. Like to hear from some E. Hickman people on how things are going...how many players have signed up....and the breakdown as far as the numbers for each class.....and how many you will have that have been a starter last year.

As of right now, we have close to 65 athletes involved with football. Our sophomore and freshmen classes make up the majority of our numbers. Our juniors have the most playing experience (most played at HCHS the last two seasons). We have very few seniors with consistent playing experience, but do provide good leadership in spite of limited playing time.

The East Hickman community is boomig with excitement. In the last few months boosters have provided donations for a sprinnkler system for our practice facility, provided labor for the installation of the sprinkler system, and raised money for all sports by having "Eagle Fest" which was a carnival-type fundraiser.

A "top-notch" coaching staff is set in place

Assistant Head Coach / Defensive coordinator/ LB coach = Eric Hatley from Creek Wood

DL / WR coach = Mike Parsley from Harpeth Middle School

Offensive Coordinator / QB coach = Robert Phillips from Columbia

RB / DB coach = Joe Burrows from United Christian Academy

Everything is falling into place fort he upcoming season. Community support, hard working athletes, supportive administration, new facilites, and a great coaching staff...................THIS IS THE BEGINNING STAGES OF SOMETHING VERY

    SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
