Sounds like someone is a sore loser!! I know someone that is an administrator in anderson county and they said the girls are good girls for the most. What is ironic is the coaches told them the AC players were complaining about the a few of the players for TN high using profanity constantly during the game. I know train wreck you are not to narrow minded to realize that even a "Good Christian Athlete"!!! will slip up and commit a sin. So it is possioble both teams had a girl or two or none say a curse word. Also, screening??? that is like saying you dont call holding in football---happens all the time. And my friend said that the coach you are referring to has been a volunteer for a long time. Final point is dont be a big baby and start throwing stones just cause you got your butt kicked by a team you thought you should beat. And I hope I misspelled something so it will give you something to write about!!!!!!

James your right as a coach you handle it, As the coach she did! But the Principle decided he knew better and turned on the coach. As he knows he did! And the AD was probably not even aware of this mess until the day of the coach quitting. Afterall he is just the AD. She without a doubt couldnt support that decision and called it quits. As anyone with any common sense would do or any heart. This will be a fun year in the stands at ACHS. Bet security will love it! Wished I was there! All I am doing is reporting what is being said out in the coaching ranks and volleyball community. All I hear is call the school and set up a meeting with these folks, WHY? This concerns me not! All I am doing is stating the facts as I hear. Besides I am laughing at the mess made by such SMART PEOPLE! yea right! haha GO ADMIRALS!!

Right, You handle it like an adult, like the principal obviously did. Not like the parents, coaches, and politicians obviously did not. Sounds like they jumped the gun without thinking of the consequences. The principal acted in best interest of the kid and saying he turned on the coach is just stirring things up without facts. You said "you are stating facts you hear and reporting what is being said out there". Sounds like you want to repeat what one person says and call it fact when you are saying the facts you have heard on here from people that were there are false. From what I have gathered you must not have been be able to handle parents when you coached little league so you kicked off 6 and 7 year olds. Like someone said on here you have to have thick skin and you tell the parent if they do not like the way you coach they can take their son or daughter and go to a different school. If a coach kicked off kids every time a parent did not like something and was vocal about it they would not have any players. If you react like that to a parent you are just giving them control. You are obviously listening to someone bitter over this. If you have a brain think for yourself.

I just read the article. The coach must of had a big disagreement with the higher authorities to give up such a succesful program. Does anyone know the details of why she left?

bearden was robbed. Lost by 2. Rico had 3 at the buzzer and got fouled. What a bad no call. Bearden fans were grumbling. Said they get that call against anyone but fulton. I dont know about that but it should have been called.

everyone sounds confident. Is Oak ridge that good or anderson co. that bad? Or do people on here have no idea what they are talking about

this is a very interesting thread. AC sounds like a good enough team and tradition to get this attention. As a friend to many coaches it sounds like ac has same problems most teams do. talent and little teamwork leads to frustration. If all teams with talent played as teams we would have a lot more competition in high school basketball and different teams winning championships. If someone figures how to cure it besides getting on here and pointing out the obvious they could sell it and make a lot of money. bruce pearl hasn't figured it out yet with talent only with players like lofton, j. smith, and bradshaw that nobody else wanted.

Sharp did play like a man and he, with a lot of help from the refs, beat my boys from carter. the hornets will bounce back and watch out for carter in the regions. they will make some noise. bzzzzzzz

I heard Michael White fractured his wrist last week at Scott co, any truth to this? This game could go either way.

carter beat ac and ac is winning thier district so as I said if carter was in ac district they would probably be winning it, instead they are in a tough district with fulton and ae. on any given night anyone can win but what i hear catholic is a one man team--the walden kid just passes it alot cause he is unselfish so others have good nights. he needs to shoot more, cause it sounds like he scored when he wanted to at ac, and maybe catholic would be sitting on top of district after winning tuesday.

It also sounds like froM hoopsguru ac could be undefeated if they played harder cause they are the most talented team in the region. again what do I know

I dont know much but it seems to me that neither team is that good and seymour and carter could win this district. My boys at carter kicked ac's butt earlier this year anyway.

I missed the game too, but the irish have been getting better. Until ac beats a good team they need to quit talking how great they are.

The last that I heard he is going to play. From my understanding, the only reason he didn't play was because of the fact it wasn't a district game. He is expected to be ready to go Friday night. And Stone's coach will have them ready also. They are a very well coached team. If the Panthers posts, although they are outsized, show up then this will be a very close ball game. Should be fun to watch.

Why would you sit out a game unless you were hurt? that is stupid. a starting point guard that is one of the leading scorers willing to sit out???? I dont think so. I also saw the score of the last game. 51-36. Is stone playing at home a 15 point difference. I heard the lead was over 20 at one time.

I heard that rorex did not play last game cause he was hurt. Is he playing? If not can ac win? I recall ac beat stone pretty good last time they played.

So who does pick the all tourney team. do the coaches not have input? does nobody out of top 3 teams get a look. what if a girl had a great semi-final but lost. no chance for all-tourney??

I heard that the pittman girl played really good and owned the semi-final game against catholic. Why did she not make all state? I dont know, did she not play good in the pool play?

i heard that catholic won in 3 straight at ac, but that is hard to beleive. does anyone know for sure
