QUOTE(nator1203 @ Apr 19 2007 - 09:10 AM) 826440944and it did NOT effect the outcome of the game..so i dont see why its still being talked about..a controversial call, yes, but a game changing call, i dont think so. i would have slid the same exact way, im not saying it was the right call or wrong call, im saying one side wont be happy in a situation like that..its different if a run would have scored if it would have been called the other way but it didnt..
I completely agree with you. it didn't affect the outcome one bit, but its diferent when some kid comes on here saying that i was purposely trying to spike the second baseman. The second baseban was standing on the back and i slid into him with my shin to break up the double play. The big deal about the play was that the home plate umpire made the call from a horrible angle when it should have been the field umps call.

did you even see the play? apparently not, cause i slid and hit his legs with my shin. My spikes were nowhere near his leg so there was no way i was trying to hurt him. i was playing fundamental baseball

QUOTE(bigtuck4242 @ Apr 5 2007 - 09:11 AM) 826430511will threw a two hitter against us, and coffee gave up 4 runs. So how u gonna say he pitched just as good? Oh and by the way he got the L. Also i believe teasley is like 3-1 on the mound so how do we lose every game we pitch.
Didnt we put 9 on u in two innings last year? by the way didnt i go yard???
this is true. Coffee is not bad and Will is far from Bad, but its alot different when hoop is on here talking for them and not letting them speak for themselves. And if one of us face East in the tournament, it will be Will doing the dirty work on the mound and Hoop just playing short stop.

QUOTE(ERBaseball25 @ Apr 5 2007 - 08:41 AM) 826430494haha both of yall need to hold up, yeah i pitch against non-district teams because Will and Coffee are better pitchers than me, its plain and simple think about baseball stupid...and coffee pitched against CA, Hooper throwing ZERO innings!!! gah lee you guys are so good i wish i could be like you and i could lose every game i pitch... and since we got will i think we'll use him, he can carry me and the rest of the team through the whole season if he wants to...and taking up for coffee here he pitched just as good against yall as will did and you know it so i wasn't ever getting into pitching stats or anything like that or anything about either team, i just said you was slow to post when yall lose but anyways good luck to yall and i guess WILL CLINARD will see one of yall district tournament....GOOD LUCK!
Dang hoop you dont have to get all defensive. Its fine if you dont pitch district games, we have pitchers on our team that dont pitch district games, but they dont get on this board talking about no hitters through 5 innings agains sorry teams.

thanks for the info Tuck, would have been better to come out of Hooper but oh well. Who you gonna play with this summer Tuck, me and logan got on the same team.
-
Who did pitch for East in the loss against CA. You kinda failed to mention anything about the game except for the fact that they were hitting and you guys weren't. And like Tuck said, a no hitter against Portland through 5 innings seems to be easy since they won like two games last year. But congrats anyways, I would take advantage against a sorry team too.

East Lit-8
Houston Co.-1
Good game for us, we scored 5 in the first and 3 in the second i belive. I pitched and gave up 4 hits and gave up the only run in the last inning. Our bats really came alive today and we had some key hits from some of the younger players. Who won the Jo Byrns and NCS game today?

QUOTE(ERBaseball25 @ Mar 27 2007 - 11:03 PM) 826424539We beat East Lit today 12-0, great pitching performace by Coffee, i think he gave up 3 or 4 hits, i think we're back to playing good ball and Teasley is a great pitcher so good luck to whoever has to face him the rest of the year, keep your head up teasley everything will come together...we have Whites Creek at home Friday then go to Station Camp Sat morning so that will be a tuffy...but anyways great job Heritage and hope yall stay hot, Guess the 3 Robertson Co. teams are all tied for 1st place haha
thanks hoop, and congrats to coffee. He did pitch a good game. I felt good through the second inning and then everything just fell apart for us. i just need to find a good rythm. Im pitching friday against Maplewood and hopefully that will get me on track for Houston Co. next week
-
yea that was what the coaches decided to be the best idea. Now we at least have a chance to split with them. And yea i got the only hit, a single up the middle.
-
East Robertson beat East lit today 10-0. Will Clinard threw a one hit shut out, with UT and Lipscomb scouts watching. Terrence Love pitched for us and only allowed 4 or 5 earned runs, but we had around 7 errors in the infield. Clinard pitched very well striking out 9 and 0 BB. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better game, not sure who they will pitch, but my guess is Coffee.

we open our season against Maplewood on thusrday pending the weather. Should be a fun game since we haven't lost to them in 5 years.

QUOTE(ERBaseball25 @ Mar 6 2007 - 06:49 PM) 826402688dude i asked coach the same thing and it was that everyone else already had filled up in the preseason so we had to get a couple of games in today, how was USN? we play them tomorrow and just wondering if they were different from what i heard? i heard that they were just a sorry school that played baseball so kids could have an extracurricular activity but anyways let me know whats up and how yall did today tuck
if usn throws Bj, the black lefty, you will be in trouble. he can easily throw in the upper 80's and tuck will back me up on this one. they also have an asian kid that pitches that has the weirdest release that i have ever seen. other than that they are no big threat. good luck

i think that NCS has the best team. But, the season hasn't even started yet. There is going to be some good pithing this year from every team so we will just have to wait and see.

Hopefully. But if the field is in bad shape for the early games will they move them back to later today or will they play them another day?
