Yes his DD did go to school there. He yanked her out mid year because Coach Powell was not playing her, He is not a good UMP, and I am sure for every bad call he made Gville, he made a bad call for FCS. I hear he will be UMPing at the STATE!!!

My first home game of the year. Field looks nice! everything looks great! except the team!!!! This is the worst coached team I have seen. They looked like the bad news bears, what has happen to FCS Softball Program? All I can say is they stink, and while I am at it so dose the coaching, there you go I said it,most of the problem is coaching or lack there of. I know there is lots of hurt girls, But come on!!!!!!! This team will be lucky to get out of district. Ok let me hear it.

Watched FCS play a few games yesterday at the play day. They impressed me, there pitching look good and there game play was good. One thing that keeps hurting them is there pitch calling. When a girl is standing two foot off the plate you don't throw her inside. Pitch calling is not rocket science.

I'm fairly new to high school softball. Who's going to be the new leader at Mount Juliet?

Well I hope MJ dose not do what FCS did. Put a coach in the position that never has been around softball. FCS had there worst year since who knows when. I went to two of there games this year. What a joke!!!! Lets Hope MJ's AD dose not have a friend that helps him coach boys Baseball that needs a little extra money on the side, or you could end up like FCS, a baseball coach that don't have a clue.

I think that Gordonsville will start their freshman pitcher or bring her in quickly if things head south for them. Friendship appears to be peaking at the right time, may be hard to handle from here on out. And yes MrNoItAll, both teams have beat quality opponents.FCS downed Cornersville and Ravenwood; Gordonsville has put away Mt. Juliet and other AAA teams this year.

Looks like a great game from two 8A teams in the region 4A finals. This region will face Grace Baptist/Marion Co. on friday, wish I could see both games.Region 4A will be well represented.Gotta love your District when they work to have teams that are a cut above!

HA, a cut above? A cut above what? The grass.Come on, Fcs use to be one of the best team's in the State not just single A THE STATE. Fcs is at its lowest it has been since the early 80,s. Until Fcs get rid of the BIG MAN AND McNeal, Its softball program will keep sliding into the mud.Did I not read where MRNOITALL said Fcs looks like the BAD NEWS BEARS. He knows all. Have a good rest of the season.

For some reason this school came weave them self into some tangled webs!!! My DD played at FCS awhile back, I want say how long ago, It is no secret I am not a fan of Coach Powell. I do not think she is a very good coach. She had the team in 06 and 07 to win it all but did not know how.I think it was time for her to leave. BUT. She did cared and love the girls she has coached. I do not know who the new coach is, and don't care. and that's a shame. The school Softball program has gone down hill ever since they FIRED Randy Sampson. FCS will never be back on top like they once was. When my DD played there the kids came to school to play on a winning team, It will not happen any more. I feel sorry the new coach, the parents at that school are total heck on the coach, They have a meeting with the AD every time there BABY is pulled out of the game. Then if they have GAVE to the school the AD will tell the coach to play them. IT IS A SHAME that the program has turned in to this.

There will be an open tryout for a 14U travel team this weekend at Friendship Christian School. The tryout will be on the high school softball field at noon. This team will play in approximately 7-8 tournaments (ASA). This team will be coached by a former Division I softball player and a current player. Neither coach will have a daughter on the team. Hey PIG!!!! Most anybody who is anybody or can play at all is already on a team, I would Tell the Coach that they might want to look into playing some B ball. ASA might be a little over there head.

9.Columbia Academy—is playin really good at the right time. Saw them at the park last weekend and thought that for a single A club they were playin pretty darn good. Pitchin is excellent, she has a hurt foot but it don’t seen to be a hurtin her to much cause she can still pitch and hit. Watch out for these ladies had big win last week over Marshall County, and Cornersville!

As the great coach at Goodpasture once told me,

Do you think the big man at Goodpasture is the real head coach? That just shows me you don't know alot about Goodpasture softball. Piggy, sometimes the truth hurt's.

Well I had a chance to get out to the parks this weekend and saw a lot of teams a playin. Did get a chance to see some teams that I don’t normally get to see and they were Soddy Daisy, Walker Valley I was very impressed. Don’t believe that they can beat Beech but time will tell.

 

We also had a chance to see Riverdale, Rossview, Creek Wood, Summertown, Clarksville Northeast, DeKalb and Collierville, play up in Clarkvagas.

 

Now the things that I saw and time will prove me right is that these teams will not be back in the state this year because they just ain’t got IT!

4. Friendship Christian---what has happened to this team,

There is a old saying in the world of softball. Good players can hide a bad coach. Poor players Cain't

I don't know, the last time i saw them play was two years ago and we beat them.

Fishy the last time you played Grace you had the buzz saw Haley Rutledge pitching and the hitting catching phenom Jessie Couch that won the game for FCS, with a 7th inning shot that ROCKED possum town. A home run in the 7 th inning with 2 outs, she won the game for you. The pitcher for Grace was a 8th grader. She is now sophomore. I think FCS is done in 3 maybe 2 .

Also I am hurt, you keep saying I am not a FCS fan ?? I am, and I will be there to watch them lose.

How bout just a Little bit of R E S P E C T......that's all we've ever wanted....If you've been to any amount of games at all you would have reconized how talanted this WC team was....They can hang with Beech, Riverdale or any other powerhouse in this area....I've seen em' quite a few times, and if you really didn't think WC was not there with them, You don't really Know JACK about softball ! Ain't sayin we're gonna take it all, just that we can compete with the best! All teams will make errors and take themselves out of a game...and the number of games a team plays don't mean alot either...So, the list tells the Tale.....Fess Up, Mascaraider !

Yes FCS will be there, but if they don't learn how to hit the ball and score some runs they want stay there very long.

They could very well be two and out. They lack pitching, and bats, and those two are very important in this game. There ACE pitcher is a freshman. I think she could do well if the coach would stop pulling her every time she walks a batter or one gets a hit off of her.

Mom probably told her to kick her BUTT. LOL

Best I remember they hit Shelby Morris enough to win against MJ and Shelby is an awesome pitcher.

Well I think your you are a little off base. I don't think FCS has ever beat MJ in regular season play. At least when Morris was pitching.

I don't see how FCS can be very good without pitching, I know you say you have four. There is about 15 at league ball park. Dose that make them Pitchers? I hope they have a great season, but I think it will be a losing one. sorry just my opinion

The FC and Trousdale Co. football game has been officially moved to tomorrow night 10/25 at 6:00 pm.
