Riverdale will dominate on both sides of the ball. Riverdale 47-6. I only give them six points because there kicker is great and I think he will get a couple of opportunities get wc on the board.

The region 3 teams are gonna show how weak they are AGAIN Friday night. Region 3 will lose every game to a much stronger Region 4. Every team in Region 4 would be in the playoffs if they were individually each in Region 3. Region 3 has got to be the weakest region in 5A in the state. Neither Lincoln County or Coffee County would make the playoffs in Region 4. Just look at the Blackman / Lincoln County game or the Coffee County / Oakland game. Oakland finished 1-7 in their region and beat CC up and down the field all night long. Coffee County can compete for a bubble gum region 3 championship but they are no where near competing for a state title nor is any other team in Region 3.
Coffee County will make a mockary of home field advantage and lose AGAIN to Wilson Central. Wilson Central would be Region 3 Champs instead they are a 3 seed in Region 4 and have to play a 6-4 team on the road when they have an 8-2 record. WILSON CENTRAL 41 COFFEE COUNTY 13 J.T. Majors runs wild AGAIN in a laugher and a waste of everyones time. Enjoy the game
I guess Cookeville going to Lebanon and absolutely dominating was just a fluke. I think region 3 will come out of the first round with two wins. I will admit that there is a huge gap between the top three teams and the bottom three, but i believe that region 3 will show up in the playoffs this year.

i predict the region will be as follows
1 lincoln county
2 coffe county
3 cookville
4 warren county
what a surprise a lincoln county fan thinks his team is going to win the region

Congratulations to the Cavs. I listened to the radio last night and it sounded like they really played team football. MVP should have been the field goal kicker. He is really doing well this year.
GO CAVS !!!!!
I don't think he has missed a field goal in a high school game.
-
The Cookeville team this year has been very disciplined with few to no turnovers and and few penalties. They also have a great kicking and return game. The cavs will win for these reasons.

30-13 Cookeville

I have Cookeville winning 27-10.

QUOTE(Manchester-04 @ Jun 15 2007 - 11:19 AM) 826475450Im just gonna say that Coffee County HAS GOT TO STAY HEALTHY!!!! Way to many injuries last year. i know injuries are a part of it but cmon.we did not play a game where at least 2 starters were not sitting out. i know the tullahoma game at least 4 or 5 starters were out and they were all defensive players. i counted in my head and i know of 11 starters who missed at least 2 games. you cant win like that. but we did. finished 3rd in a beat up region and played a hard 1st half against the state champs in the playoffs. you can say that we play easy schedules but your about 3 years in the past. Brentwood, Overton, Baylor, Lincoln County, Cookeville, Tullahoma, all good teams. I never hear ajny of these schools run their mouths about our team because they know that the only way teams usually beat us is when we beat ourselves. but enough from last year. this years team is very good and very aggressive. o line has to stay healthy because there is NO depth at guard opr center and only a little depth at Tackle. Defense is solid especially on the line with 4 out of 5 starters returning. KJ will be the next great runningback for coffee county. Ill let yall see for yourselfs. he has the speed of le'hawkins, the passion and vision of nunley, and the agression and work ethic of elam. not a big guy, built alot like william but breaks alot of tackles. also Tinsley is a tranfer and the guy is so dang aggressive ppl will move out of the way. and goins is back after a 1000 yard rushing season n mite play some receiver. so im looking at a solid run stopping defense with an experienced and talented o-line, with for the 3rd class in a row, a trio of great running backs. if we have a healthy team, here is my prediction.
1. Lincoln Co ( cant knock em off the top till they get beat)
2. Coffee Co ( Will surprise people but will never get respect till we beat everyone)
3. Cookeville ( lost alot of seniors)
4. Franklin Co ( Rough season last year)
5. Warren Co ( battle for that 4th spot with Franklin Co. Hope to see 3 playoffs in a row.)
6. Cumberland Co. ( Just needs to be 4A or 3A)
There is no way that cookeville finishes third. Our team this year is better than last years team. No one in our district is going to be able to stop Dustin Langford, and Taylor Hennigan is much improved over last year. The defense is more aggresive and the o-line should be lots better.
I think it will be:1.Cookeville
2.Lincoln Co.
3.Coffee Co.
4.Warren Co.
5.Franklin Co.
6.Cumberland Co.

QUOTE(Dist11fan @ May 20 2007 - 05:11 PM) 826463578Congrats to the Rebels for another D2 championship! You guys were just great in your final two wins!
By the way, what was the score of the Brentwood / Cookeville game? And does anyone know why Brentwood didn't play Ravenwood this year...Franklin and Centennial did, but why not Brentwood?
The score was 9-4.

QUOTE(lax4life32 @ Apr 26 2007 - 09:22 PM) 826446387It has to do with how a team does in their region. So if you have won all or most of the region games, then you are more likely to go than a team that has not won as many. It has nothing to do with LaxPower rankings. If Laussane goes they will be going in as a 7th ranked team in Div. II. If it comes down to a close descision or tie breaker then it goes down to individual region games. The second game against a region team is the one that usually counts the most but it can come down to both games and who won like if you win both instead of the first of second one only. Right now laussane and collierville are both undefeated in the region and the team that moves on to the semi finals will be determined by who wins that game which is coming up next week i think. As far a seedings i think it goes #1 plays #4 and #2 plays #3 correct me if i am wrong about any of this but im pretty sure this is correct.
You are right. The top three spots are the winners of their divisions and the fourth spot is determined the weekend before the semifinals. On that weekend the top teams that didn't win their division play, and whoever comes out of that will probably play Franklin in the #1 vs. #4 game.
-
Cookeville clinches the east with a 17-1 win over Baylor tonight. They will probably play either Lausanne or Collierville in the semifinals.

How did Franklin lose by 8 if they led at half?
-
Looks like MUS is on a role beating both CBHS and MBA. It also seems that Ravenwood is running away with D1 beating McCallie by 10. They should beat Franklin by at least 7.

QUOTE(leonhardravenwoodlax28 @ Apr 2 2007 - 11:43 PM) 826428673Franklin is good for a D2 team. I watched them today play Brentwood and one of the main things i noticed they lack was a solid man up and left hand stick skills. So far FHS has only played D2 teams. They could definately win D2 State again and have a good chance at being in D1. They would be a good match for Houston, Webb, Farragut, University School, Father Ryan. Those games would be very close if not a loss for Franklin. Also in my opinion they dont stand a chance against MBA, McCallie, MUS, Ravenwood, Christian Bros. So far they have played Louisville Collegiate 14-4, Ensworth 15-3 , Webb-Knoxville 12-4 , JPII 16-2 , Hendersonville 15- , Cleveland 26-0 , Lausanne Collegiate 19-6 , Brentwood LC 14-3 but keep in mind the skill in D2 has dropped off enourmously from last year and these are all D2 teams with the excption of Louisville Collegiate.
Their first D1 Game is Father Ryan 4/11 and then Webb Bell Buckle 4/15 then Ravenwood 4/24. We will have to see how they handle Father Ryan and Webb
Cookeville and Franklin play each other this Thursday at Franklin. Cookeville won like 13-12 in OT last year at Franklin. This will probably be the biggest test for both teams in DII play.

QUOTE(24/7lax @ Apr 1 2007 - 07:29 PM) 826427803I dont think Division 2 is any weaker than last year. Yes there are at least 3 new teams, but that is what Division 2 is designed for (to grow the sport of lacrosse). Therefore it seems like Franklin should have moved up this year to D1. I know it is to late now, but I hope they make the right decision next year and move up especially if they win back to back state titles.
Its nice to see that they are doing so well, but winning by an average of 13 goals a game, c'mon. That is not helping them or the other D2 teams. If they were in D1 the players would be getting even better, plus at the end of the year they maybe up for better post season awards, and the team could be in the D1 fianl 4 and not the D2 final 4.
It will be interesting to see how they do the 4 D1 games, but I think they will win 3 of 4, and if they do I think that needs to be the last proof that they need to move up.
I agree with you. I will take it one step further and say that all first year teams should play jv. This way they can improve their skills while not getting blown out every game. Take Hendersonville for example, this is their second year and their skills are now good enough to compete with almost every team. I also think, if Franklin wins DII and beats at least 2 of the 4 DI teams they play, they should be moved up.

Cookeville beats Centennial 16-5 at Centennial.
-
-
Cookeville was leading the Cleveland game 14-0 at half. Then after halftime they put there jv in.
-
Cookeville was leading the Pope John Paul game 5-1, when it was stopped for lightning. It will probably be continued on Monday, April 16.
