  1. There is absolutely nothing wrong with what black helmet does!  i do the same with our basketball team!  Obviously he is much better at it than myself lol.  We have brand new facilities,  wonderful people, great football fans and a great football environment!  Notice I said "football" lol  And GB is GORGEOUS!  Farms, land, and lakes!  Churches that preach God's Word, get involved with the community, and are welcome to come pray with our kids AT the school!  And they do!  With the world the cesspool that it is, Greenback is very appealing to many families, sports or not!  My son is going to play baseball in college on a scholarship.  GB went to State last year in baseball with just our GB kids that have played together since Rec League He doesn't even play football.  And I know what to lure means.  I put a lure on the end of my fishing pole to catch a fish.  It takes effort.  It's intentional  Our coaches don't do that.  I also know what "envy" means, to be "envious...a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities, or luck.  GB is appealing...means attractive or interesting...And yes I had to google that!  When you're appealing you don't have to lure! ;) Good day!

I'll just put this out there. It's a little off putting how arrogant people can get after gaining a level of success.  While I agree GB is head and shoulders above most if not all 1A and 2A competition it's just bad form to blatantly blow your own horn. Especially when everyone else is already singing the praises of GB for them. No offense or disrespect intended or implied mind you but just seems like some get a little bit snooty nowadays.

I agree and I'm a GB fan.  That snootiness comes from "the top", not the kids.  We aren't the most disciplined team if you haven't already noticed.

I'm curious to know what the GB players think of kids just rolling in and taking positions.  And i'm not talking about the starters or upperclassmen.  I'm kinda thinking about those younger kids that have had their brains beat in at practice day in and day out "as a team".  I'm tickled to death to get good kids at GB, especially for those kids that come to our small community and find success, friends, and a great springboard for their future.  It just seems this is becoming a "football thing" instead of "a Greenback thing".

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a wonderful Christmas!  I'm a "Greenback people" and you're post is screaming sore loser. I don't appreciate your insinuating post that GB could only win by cheating. Last night I saw a great game. A great atmosphere. Two great teams battling it out on the field. I'm sorry that many SP posters can't handle defeat with dignity, but instead choose to sling mud like a three year old that didn't win a coloring contest. The only thing that I heard last night that absolutely blew my mind was when the SP fans clapped and cheered when GB's #6 limped to the sidelines. Shame on you!  The kids on both teams work so hard all year long!  #6 is a great kid. He's been through so much adversity in his life and if your fans knew his story you would be so ashamed of yourself for  cheering for him having an injury.

Win with grace, lose with dignity.

And if you think he's joking...he's not!!

Dont we have a championship game to prepare for?!?

  4. Greenback does have a talented sophomore class. But they have several upperclassmen that actually lead the team. They're actually talented from top to bottom and could have a different "stand out" player in each game. That is why they're so successful. Most players could be moved around to play several different positions without making a big difference. They are also very deep in the pitching category. As long as this team keeps their heads on straight and continues to play team ball there is no reason they shouldn't go all the way.

  5. I'm ready for Friday. It's senior night for us and I'm not looking forward to that part but I think it will be a fun game to watch.

Agreed! I do enjoy watching Joe Pace play! He's a good athlete! â¤ï¸ My Greenback boys! Gonna have to bring a box of Kleenex to the game. Great group of seniors!

  6. Most of the negative comments about Greenback are just jealousy, which is the highest form of a compliment. We're dealing with "millennials" here so don't hit too hard, protect our babies, everyone gets a blue ribbon, good game now go get your juice box.

    Just play the game.

  7. If the players have the same mentality as some of the posters on here, the locker room will be divided in less than 2 weeks.

Coalfield stirred the crap pot don't get mad cause it's stinking. Have a good weekend. Try to keep that "coach" in line lol. Hilarious! He needs to "hide that crazy"

It brought our team and Greenback family closer together ;)
