  1. They will very soon I'm sure, but again it takes a lot of luck to win one. The ball doesn't bounce the way you would like for it to every time.

The one thing I would also point out is it is nearly impossible to beat Mcminn Central at home if you are not used to playing in a small gym. On the other hand when they travel to a bigger gym they struggle against teams they should beat easily. Then there's playing at a college size gym, if you are used to a small gym then playing at Murphy center is going to be even more difficult. When you play teams such as LA, or Upperman, their style of play is well suited for this arena. The Chargers are used to short sprints and the type of offense used is suited to that style. It is very difficult to go to the long run/jog and keep up arm strength if your not used to it. Still every year they are right there do not be dissapointed how many teams are a state threat year after year.

  2. I think that we are getting off topic , myself included !!!!!!! This crap started yesterday when i said "thank you" to Dyer for her support for the Lady Cats....... Since , "beefan23" and "sdj38544" , just want to start another bunch of crap between the L A and UHS fans........ L A made it and UHS did not , This year anyway...... Let's leave it at that...... We will see each other again next year !!!!!!! Best of luck !!!!! Again , luvhoops, wish i had got to jaw with ya !!!!!!!

    Get back on topic!!!!!!!

Congrats G C on the Gold ball!!!!!!

Congrats Lady Cats on the Silver ball!!!!!!!

    Go HOG - EYE !!!!!

    Woooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Not strarting anything just responding to a post already here. Call it like I see em. Best of luck to all players. Think we as fans all need to act a little more respectful to all the teams. There are good players on alot of teams and they all deserve being rewarded for their hard work even if they are not from the school you support as a fan. We just need to remember its a game for the kids and concentrate on that instead of bashing each other as adults. I definitely will try to.

  3. Oldcat77 the more I read your posts and some other LA posters, I think I know (you and them) a little more personally than I thought. I would like to say that it was very nice to here and see the support from the LA fans for Lashay during the Ms Basketball awards.

Again, congrats on the great run this year and the silver ball!!!!

Where I set I saw and heard very little support from the Livingston fans when they announced Lashay Davis. I'm pretty sure I can tell you who supported her and who didn't. I also set in the group of Livingston fans the night of the Upperman - Station Camp game. I heard so many bad comments about the Upperman school and players. I was actually suprised that adults acted so disrespectful. I know its not all the fans but it sure changed my opinion on their crowd. I have always pulled for Livingston before but listening to that really makes it hard. Again I kown its not everyone but it was a very large group that night. Glad its over for awhile.

  4. 34-1 34-1 34-1 34-1 34-1 34-1 34-1 34-1

Get the picture!!!!!!! Evidently the BEST team won because LA is still playing and McMinn and Upperman are done. Now stop whinning and making excuses. Don't take any team for granted because of their record. Better look at their HEART! H-O-G-E-Y-E H-O-G-E-Y-E T-N-T

I think you guys can talk about the game all you want. Was not there but listened to it on the radio. Was suprised a little after seeing McMinn Central play. But you can never underestimate your opponent. But I do have one suggestion. Upperman is not playing so can you just talk about each other and leave them out of it. They had a great season and many of their players still have a great future with basketball. Its over and move on!!

  5. Congratulations to all the Upperman Lady Bees!! You have been a close group and pulled together and the outcome was amazing. Everyone of you should be proud of what has been accomplished with your team. I love to see how much support comes from each and every player on the team. That is what makes a great team be so successful.Lashay, what can be said that has not already been said. What a high school career.Amazing as a bball player and as a young lady. What a future you have in front of you from your hard work and dedication. Can't wait to see you at WK.Jennifer Maynards high school career has been exceptional on and off the court.Whatever path she decides to take I'm certain she will be successful at it.Two very strong role models in these young ladies.Wish the Upperman Lady Bees success in the next season.Adjustments will be made and new ladies will step up.Good Luck and congratulations on a great year of basketball!!

  6. I know all 3 girls nominated are well deserving of the award or they wouldn't be nominated. I would love to see Lashay bring home that award. It would be a great end to her outstanding high school career. But if one of the other deserving players win that will be ok.Just remember Lashay has already brought that one home once.No one could ever be disappointed with her accomplishments she has already earned. One more would be really nice though.Congrats to all nominees.Pulling for Lashay all the way!!

  7. Your fans were very loud to be so few in number. That was just a tremendous atmosphere. District 7AA travels very well. We've hosted Livingston twice, York, and Upperman in the last four seasons. Each of these programs have great support.

I know you spoke to several of the Chargerette fans that were at Memories (most of us were either coaches or parents of players). My family was seated at the table of four beside you all. My son is the one who said your logo looked like Georgia Tech's logo.

We enjoyed the game and also our visit to Memories. Our family has supported Lashay since she started playing at about 5 years old. Our family that was there eating consisted of great grandparents that are in their late 80's,grandmother,two aunts, uncle, two cousins, great aunt and family friends. I am one of the aunts on the Davis side.We have followed bball with Lashay always at Upperman and AAU.It has been such a great experince seeing her grow as a player and to a great young lady. Can't wait to see her play at Western Kentucky. We have a grand daughter starting to play she is 5 who knows we may be there again some day.McMinn Central has a very good team and I think they will bring home that gold ball.Really appreciate how nice everyone was everywhere we went while there. It was great to be in an atmosphere like that after going to the region games the past week and seeing how some of the visiting crowds acted. We are like everybody else and would have liked to win but at least it was to a very good team with a respectable crowd.Hope u go all the way Chargerettes. Will b watching 2 c how u do.May be down for the championship game if u r in it.Lashay is nominated for MS.Basketball again so we may go and support her.We went last year and it was pretty cool when she won.Who knows but if your girls get that far(which I'm sure they will) we will cheer them on if we r there!!Tell your son it does look like Georga Tech,we lived in the Georgia area for awhile so he knows his bball.

  8. ok ok just everybody hold on a sec k ... now im a student at LA and believe me i didnt expect all this to happen when i started this thread jeez .... upperman and LA are known to be the best in basketball girls and guys i want someone from upperman to agree or disagree with all my points please so that was the first point... second we all knew the importance of both games and how important it was as fans to be there for our teams ? ok next now regardless of what anyone else says i really dont think whoever the girl is we are talking about did any wrong i was on the front row of student section i seen here that shirt barely got higher than the belly button just because she was pullin at the name part ... hey i mean im sure if i pulled at my shirt id do the same right? you know yeah in the heat of the moment ok yes i think those butt wholes whenver upperman made a chant back ha but when you think about it it goes both ways i mean thats what makes it fun as long as it dont get personal right ? the throwing balls incident all i have to say is i didnt see it but that doesnt rule out it didnt happen if it did on our behalf i am sorry for it. it is just a really big game one both teams needed you know and i am sure that if la beats upperman in the later tourneys our vise versa ... well me as a player whoever beats me i am going to hope they go all the way to say well hey i got beat by the best in state you know ? listen i dont want it to be personal alot of us from both schools will be attending same colleges and when we meet there i dont want to be hatin because of what happend in highschool haha guys its just a game thats all i have to say

AGREED without the student sections, it wouldn't as fun. haha

  9. This so cracks me up! There are so many things for me to address.

1St Go back and look who started all the trash talk about our girls, it was 16 post of nothing but LA fans talking about the ???Class??? of Upperman. People can only take so much without coming back firing. King your big on stats, go back & look and spread the ???true gospel??? to all of us and see who stirred the pot

2nd Both sides were very emotional and there was no hiding that. Both teams had words on the court so you knew it would carry into the stands. Just like Livingston to say how bad we are and how perfect they are. What a Joke!!! Both teams were riled up but you can??™t just point out one teams actions without pointing out the others, Oh wait yes you can your ???LA??? and that??™s what you do. It??™s never your fault it always someone else. At least I will be honest and tell you that our student section was out of hand but you won??™t hear LA fans admit theirs was too. Lets talk about how your LA kids were throwing basketballs on the court (not rolling), pushing players, and threw those little basketballs balls at our section aftter the game. The Law had 3 cops there and they had to get onto LA crowd 3 times as much. I was setting on the second row and I could hear the cops talking. Our student section got out of control too but not cussing like ???LA??? is claiming. I also heard one of your ???high class??? LA basketball girls yell ???B*%ches take your as$es home??? at our basketball girls on the front row. So lets really look at the class in the student section. I guess both coaches should watch the film and see who did what!!!! Could you ???LA faithful??? see what your boys on the front row were doing? They were pulling at their shirts cause it had LA on it??¦.our fans were doing the same and you want to make a big deal because it was a Upperman girl? So typical! You didn??™t see anything that you don??™t see through the armholes of their jerseys. She was facing the LA student section so the Upperman fans saw what you saw and it wasn??™t that big of a deal like everyone is making it.

3rd To King, we were finally told who you were today & I was surprised! How proud is Coach Melton of you? Are you what he wants representing him? You are on the Internet talking all kinds of crap about other players(Girls and Boys!). You talk about player??™s ability or lack of when you set on the bench as a manager. LOL That says it all!!!! Talk about Ethan(#10) all you want about not driving to the goal or not being ???speedy???. All I can say is when a lay up counts for three I guess he will try it.LOL On top of that everyone saying without #10 it wouldn??™t have been close. HOW STUPID!!! What if we said "well without Dunn you would have blown you away". That just sounds stupid to say that out load. Everyone is out there to do what they can to help their team don??™t you dare put him down for stepping up for the BEES. You just set on the sidelines and do what you do best??¦.watch!! You keep talking about our girls showing their belly, that was probably the most action you have ever had.LOL

Ok, I??™m ready! All you boys from LA come attack me "a little girl from Upperman". I know it??™s coming because that??™s all you have been able to do so far is pick on girls. You guys are worse than any girls at our school, I have never heard guys moaning and groaning this much! I bet you guys had to quit typing for a while because your hormones got out of control and your claws come out. This topic should be closed because I don??™t think I can handle these guys whining anymore!!!!!!

You are very correct about LA student section pulling at their shirt because it had LA on it..thats all the Upperman girls were doing? no sports bra was shown AT ALL and plus like you said you can see that through the arm holes of their jerseys!! but i guess because the LA fans are guys it makes it right or maybe just because they are LA? LOL! If Uppermans coach wants to watch the film im sure the players would not mind, they did no more than anyone else in the crowd/student section besides she was not sitting far from them..and i suppose noone stuck around after the game to hear a couple LA girls(players & students) telling Upperman to "leave that way" and pointing out the gym & starring and giving dirty looks maybe because they lost who knows? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

but anyways great post Abby loo...that about summed up the night GO BEEEEESS! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

  10. Wouldn't the driving distance be the same in the other direction for 7AA teams??? Is it longer from Nashville to Jamestown than it is from Jamestown to Nashville? Duh!! If Tech is available, that is the most logical site for everyone involved. (Better parking, much more seating, neutral court, etc.) Surely, even the Bees can see that. If everyone in the region wants to change and UHS doesn't, what does that show? Hmmmmmmm. Must be great to be a Bee. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

First you have to want to host then try to get approved. The actual list of what it takes I have not seen, but I was told there are many things involved. Such as capacity (restroom and seating) and distance to rooms and food. The requirements are different for each class A, AA, AAA. The tech issue is still not as open as you think and Upperman set up scheduling for the games and did not want to move it and move it back. This was discussed with ALL d-7 coaches and the votes were to keep it at Upperman. I would guess it is dificult to get ready for tech then switch back at last minuite tech goals are much more difficult to gauge your distance on. There are always lower scoring games at tech as so many shooters have difficulty there. The refs should be sent by TSSAA and hopefully Wheaton will not be one of them he lets games get badly out of hand.
