  1. Whoever the adults that were talking crap to Logan should be ashamed of themselves. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks about Logan's dad Logan as a kid shouldn't be talked about period and like I said he's a GREAT kid and I would do anything for him so it kinda gets under my skin when our fan base talks crap about him

  2. Let's just stop talking about Logan. You will not find a harder working better kid. I love that kid and wish him. nothing but the best. He will be a star at the next level, you can book that! Obviously us marion co fans would love to have him in the purple and white but he's not so let's get over it.

  3. Good points. I was a bit confused because I noted they scheduled South Pittsburg and Grundy (discretionary games) in their upcoming two year cycle. The reason it was an elusive concept was based upon the following:

Q: Of their 9 regular season victories, what team(s) played them in the closest margin of victory?

A: Whitwell (33-6) and Grundy (49-22) both 27 point victories

Q: Of the two teams listed, who held them to the fewest points (among their regular season victories) of any regular season opponent?

    A: Whitwell

I believe Coach Ross and his staff to be very good coaches and considering this, I also know they are very meticulous in their game planning. So much so, that they realize we had three starting Offensive Lineman that did not play in the game against them (#5, #70 and #53), yet we played them closer than seven of their other regular season victories. Now, factor in that we will be bringing back all three of our running backs from a backfield that led the State of Tennessee in Rushing in 2A for the regular season and I think I can deduce through rational inference what transpired...

Everybody I've talked to who is familiar with Football in the Sequatchie Valley and the traditional rivalries were shocked to find out they would not play us. I offered four different dates (Weeks 4, 6, 8, and 10) a week prior to the Region Meetings (and I retained documentation regarding same).

    hahahahaha this is comical.
  4. All I can say is I'm proud of our boys, the Golden Tide! They played a hard fought game and made some great plays. Sure we had a few mistakes, but after a mistake we usually answered with a big play or several plays that added up to another TD. We just had to keep moving forward. Kendrick deserved his MVP for offense, and oh how exciting it was to hear Xavier's name for the Defense MVP especially knowing his return in the Aville game helped seal the deal for our Tidemen to make it to the dance. Both guys were deserving of their awards as well as the entire team getting to transport that Gold Ball into a gym full of Peabody fans welcoming them home in shouts of excitement and so much enthusiasm! Us folks in Trenton are proud of our boys..... We'll always remember this year! Big props to Coach Woods and his staff for molding these boys into the fine young men they are today. Simply stated... Our hometown heroes will always be remembered as the team who brought our first Gold Ball home to Peabody High School!

With that said MC played hard too. I don't think they ever quit fighting. One of the main aspects I don't think I'll forget about this game is Zeman. Once it was explained how he changed his number to 1 to honor a fellow student that fell victim to cancer, he stood out beyond his abilities to play ball. Like I said before, it showed him as a very noble young man on a personal level. It showed there was more to him than just being a football player. He is truly a class act on and off the field. It just proves the point to know he played injured to ensure he finished his last high school football game with his team.. He has heart and never gave up. Job well done, Zeman! I may not always remember the various players of the game for MC, but I'll always remember that selfless story of Blake Zeman. I hope he goes far in his football career!

that story hits extremely close to home for me. He's way more than just a football to me and my family. Outstanding young man
  5. Someone wanted to know what other players we have besides #7. We have a rb #8 that runs around a 4.5 a wideout #89 that runs a 4.4 another wideout #5 runs a 4.5 wideout #4 runs a 4.5 a defensive back and kick returner #23 runs 4.4 or 4.5 we also have a few d-linemen that are nightmares to block. And a kicker with a good strong leg

if all what your saying is true then you got prob the fastest team in the state in all classifications
  6. Hope is all we have. Still dont see how players with playoff experience. Not being a part of 2014 plans. For instance # 5. He started a playoff game as a freshman. Had close to 100 yrds before half time. Its not about him not starting. But not given the chance to help the team this season. I will not put young men down. But hes been the MVP of his group since he was 6 yrs old. Ive not come out of the box with the staff. I was assured he would be given opportunity to help The South Pittsburg. Pirates

I know somewhere he would be used up north
  7. On Grace's last drive we call TO on 3rd and 3. They have a false start. Back them up 5 yds and they start the clock. They run 30 more seconds off and get another false start. Back it up 5 more and start the clock again. You could have actually run the clock out taking penalties. We were out of timeouts.

that's what I was saying last night.
  8. Every game I've watch of Peabody has been different strategies... I have to assume that Coach Woods is tailoring each game to each team. One game might have more running plays.... Another might have more passing.... Some might have a little of both. Almost all of which have been successful. It goes to show that Coach Woods' experience shines through each win Peabody gains.

If you don't believe that Coach Woods has what it takes, then you ought to do a simple google search of "Ricky Woods South Panola Mississippi". Read the history, then you will understand the coaching knowledge/skill that Coach Woods has. A 74-1 record isn't shear luck, location or chance. 4 State Championships of a nationally ranked team isn't just luck... It's no fluke! Coach Woods is an awesome coach! I'm looking forward to the game Friday!

there is no doubt he is a legend in the coaching ranks. We have a good one at Marion Co this year but don't let these SP fools get under your skin about ross>woods cause that isn't the case yet
