1. QUOTE(flatline17 @ Apr 15 2007 - 01:23 PM) 826437962Let's see, at the Appalachian St. HS Invite here are the results for throwing...

    Shotput

    Ray, Jordan 46-05

---Not bad, but he'll still have McPherson and Banks from Trezevant to contend with

    Discus

    Ray, Jordan 109-00

-- That won't even win girls state disc

    Long Jump

-- Best is Waters at 18-06, won't even qualify

No one in HJ, PV, or TJ (they didn't have TJ at the meet so I dunno if you have a TJer or not).

Thats hardly close to having the field events taken care of when you only have (from what I can tell) a shot at one field event to win. IMO I don't think Ray will win state anyways, McPherson and Banks will be too much to handle.

ok 4 one bruce throws the disc for us and at appy state he was hurt and cant even spin cause hes kness are swolen fron thurs trying to do the 110 hurdels but you might be right jordon ray might not win i mean at least he will make it HAVE YOU EVEN MADE IT OR DO YOU EVEN THROW /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> but yea we really dont have a long jumper even though waters did scracth cause he landed on his side at 20.8 your not alowed to land on your side in NC but m sure your from a school who is just loaded with track stars so good luck /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> and bruce has thrown in disc 156 not even a week ago

  2. QUOTE(1buck2 @ Apr 3 2007 - 05:44 PM) 826429185Macon County has a freshman running a 44-45 for 300m H and a split of 55-57 on 4x400. How would this compare???

thats pretty good we have 2 freshman doing the same in the 4x440 team b but i really dont know how good that is in the 300 hurdels but splits is different then the open 400 lot tougher

  3. QUOTE(willwinstate @ Mar 29 2007 - 07:09 AM) 826425580wow i am kind of amazed, you think a good time for a sophmore is SUB 50.00! i have been to alot of track meets in my life mostly because my mom is a high school track coach, but i myself am a sophmore and i run right at a 54.00 400 and have not seen anyone my age run that time. just wondering who you have seen do this. and is 54 for a sophmore possible to come down to a 49- 51. or were all the sub 50 guys already running way better when they were sophmores?

Derek carr elizabethton is your age and runs 50 51 so yea its pos /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> sible

  4. QUOTE(gphstrack @ Mar 26 2007 - 06:22 PM) 826423315first of all, i'll go ahead and speak for the rest of us and say that ryan williamson and spencer porter will definitely beat your 51 at regionals. if your last name is trent, from cosby, you ran a 57.09 at cocke county, which might get you in the top 10 at regionals, especially since most 4x400 splits run faster than that. (not to mention you have to run a 57.00 to even qualify for regionals.) where was this 51 at?

and, by the way, the last time i checked, sprints weren't the only events in track, so please acknowledge that distance and field events are of equal importance.

yea your right distance is important but i heard that your relays wasnt to good i mean they might have just said that but i mean you need a stronger sprint group if you all still want to win regionals and sectionals but good luck to you all in your season and let me know how you all doing often yea and your right i dont think anyone from cosby ran a 51 lol /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

  5. QUOTE(cosbytrackxc @ Mar 26 2007 - 04:56 PM) 826423233soo i hope to see somebody in the 400 m, maybe someone can beat my 51.

    hahahaha lol u better be running faster /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

  6. QUOTE(pnthrsroc07 @ Mar 25 2007 - 08:50 PM) 826422495there needs to be a special forum, just for people who go to elizabethon, where they can go and bang there egos against eachother, as opposed to the rest of civilization. it makes me wonder if there's alot of in-fighting on the e-town team that drives this apparent insecurity that would seemingly force them to attempt such brash scare tactics on these boards so early in the season.

i need to work on my run on sentences, maybe i should transfer to etown and study in their dilightfully brilliant english department...

your right maybe you should /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> and yea why do you all think i care how i spell stuff cause i dont ecspecially on here and why do you all keep getting all mad are you worried or something? i thought that athelits was supposed to take pride in their team and brag well im a kind of a person who brags bout my team and if you all dont like it then dont get on here and read then leave soe kind of ######## bout me braging and until someone beats us then im going to say we are going to win conference we are going to win regional and we are going to win sectional you know why cause we are the defending champs in all of them except sectionals(2nd place lost by 1 point)and brainerd knows their going to have thier hands full with us and we kno we will have our hands full with them and for you gpittiam i really wouldnt get back on here and talk trash cause i heard you all had trouble with unicoi and cosby /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> and if you all plan to hang with us then i would step it up and work harder than you are but good luck to all teams and have a good season /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

  7. QUOTE(GotSpeed @ Mar 21 2007 - 07:15 PM) 826419760Maybe i should be intimidated by you with all your superior knowledge of athletics, considering you seem to know what there capable of, I'll just sit back watch and since they don't know what competition is, you have nothing to worry about. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

i guess you will just sit back and see and i worry but not bout HV

  8. QUOTE(GotSpeed @ Mar 21 2007 - 06:19 PM) 826419709Jonathan Lyons, 100m, 200m, long jump, high jump,,, DJ Oliver shot put and disc, and Im sure theres alot of others who wont just lay down and make it as easy as you may think......Richardson, Whitehead and others WILL pull some suprises.. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

u have claybo noone is better than him we know ok but he might want to wacth out cause at state their other runers that can spoil his day like you know Josh Jaynes did but we know we dont have the distance like you all dont have the sprinters

  10. QUOTE(The_Enforcer @ Mar 21 2007 - 12:58 PM) 826419493From what I have heard Happy Valley has added a good sprinter and jumper , could be interesting.

DID YOU HEAR WHAT YOU SAID A GOOD SPRINTER AND JUMPER THATS ONE IT TAKES A TEAM

  11. QUOTE(Coniglio @ Mar 20 2007 - 08:52 PM) 826418949and what about the good races?

  12. QUOTE(SatchUmp @ Mar 20 2007 - 10:18 AM) 826418415Cyclone runners,

Let us know how things go later today at the meet at Sullivan South. Should be a pretty good meet in some events with South, Central, Volunteer, and Elizabethton there. I am particularly interested in the sprints (100m, 200m, 4x100m and the 110M Hurdles).

    100m 1st=curt phillips(sshs) 11 2nd justin fuqua(ehs) 11.2 3rd(derek carr 11.29(ehs) 4th jake peters(ehs)11.3

    110 hurdels 1st justin fuqua(ehs)14.7

4x100 1st EHS 44.7 with derek carr triping out of blocks 2nd SS 44.8

400 meter 1st Derek Carr 52.4 BEST RACE OF THE NIGHT CAME DOWN TO WHO WANTED IT MORE 2nd SS runner 54

Both teams (EHS AND SS) are really strong and is deep in the spinters both should do pretty good through the year.EHS hasnt even put justin fuqua on any relays yet and last year when they did they ran in the 43s.GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS

  13. QUOTE(gphstrack @ Mar 18 2007 - 05:32 PM) 826416606we finished 4th at regionals and 6th at sectionals, with just three athletes competing. our team is huge this year. last year at state, we had a runner-up in the 3200, edged out by your own josh jaynes at the finish line. no disrespect, i just can't see you guys dominating without jj to score 40 points for you.

    best of luck.

we beat u all by 87 at regionals and im not saying you all will be bad i just think we will come on top at regionals cause we have more sprinters that can scoot and we have 65 people that could go to regionals and its not how many people you have it where you finish and i think that noone can keep up with our speed but good luck

  14. QUOTE(gphstrack @ Mar 18 2007 - 04:14 PM) 826416534well, if you guys run half as well as your English department teaches, I'm sure you will win regionals, sectionals, and state. you may even may some noise on dyestat.

    may the best team win.

well im sure gphs has some good quility teaching too and what place did you finish last year in regionals and i dont even remember youall being any competion and did gphs even have anyone in sectionals

  15. QUOTE(Coniglio @ Mar 18 2007 - 10:35 AM) 826416183...And beat them at Regional and Sectional.

o we will make it to state and beat us at regionals and sectionals good luck ok and i dont know who was talking crap bout 14 15 year old leauge shutting down but that is sad but we are confident thaqt we will win regionals and sectionals cause weve been working our ###### off since football season ended and i dont see nothing wrong with that so good luck to you all

  16. QUOTE(crazzyness @ Mar 16 2007 - 02:19 PM) 826414314Nobody cares about Elizabethton track. Ecerybody hates you guys. Elizabethton track is more feminine than two gay guys fighting over a tube of lip gloss.

why dont you show up dowmn down there at 2;15 monday and see who is more feminine and well see whos feminine ok

  17. QUOTE(gphstrack @ Mar 15 2007 - 09:02 PM) 826413589I'm not looking you over, I just think it will be hard to win a title without distance and field events. Sure, you have Jordan Ray in the shot, but what else do you have? A guy that high jumps 5'0"?

ok our #1 high jumper just came out a week ago due to personal reasons and he jumps 6 1 he didnt do it last year his name is brent and i promise you wil hear bout him soon our discus man bruce threw in that meet results(which was a practise meet after dong both hurdels he throws 138 140 ok and just wait until we kick ur ###### in regionals again ok

  18. QUOTE(gphstrack @ Mar 15 2007 - 08:09 PM) 826413486p.s. josh jaynes and jordan peters graduated.

  20. QUOTE(gphstrack @ Mar 15 2007 - 06:24 AM) 826412546As far as decathlon goes, my money is on Ryan Williamson from Seymour. He finished second at state last year, only learning to pole vault the week before. He had a fantastic indoor season running with Knoxville Track Club. He will win.

he didnt finish second our guy did so your wrong bout that buddy try again /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

  21. QUOTE(crazzyness @ Mar 14 2007 - 10:16 PM) 826412428You agains how your COMPLETE lack of knowledge about baseball. Cloudland IS NOT loaded with freshme. They pitched a senior, had a senior behind the plate, and had two or three seniors out in the field. While on the other side, Unaka pitched 2 freshmen, and put the jv in during the middle of the 2nd... And Unaka vs. Elizabethton WILL NOT be a classic. Elizabethton will win by 5 or 6 runs. Unaka can hit pretty good, but Church wil most likely be touched alot.... But you should just worry about running in a circle, cause Lord knows you're not even good enough to be on the bench for Cloudland's JV.

hahahaha to bad i dont play baseball ad you kow as well as i do that they had more freshman and sophmores then anyone playing it said it in the star and im surprised cause it usally takes up for you all and says you all are like world champions and just 5 or 6 runs lol you just wish it will be that close and your a joke bout throwing up track in my face cause you or noone at unaka could do it anyways ad whe you said people dont care bout track the you need to come to a meet we have more people there then you all do sittin in the grass up at unaka on gameday get a life and quit throwing running in a circle in my face cause ill go farther in that and football then any one of your godly single a baseball players ok /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> hope you enjoy the game and if you get bored waching us whip your ###### ill let you polish my meadals ok

  22. QUOTE(uchsdecatholete @ Mar 14 2007 - 10:25 PM) 826412437ok /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" i dont know if i could do that considering im from unicoi, lol

i know the decathelon will be extremely tough this year, theres gonna be ppl likek fuqua winnin in hurdles, and u winnin in 100 and 400, but theres always somebody thats gonna be better at that 1 thing, and thats gonna come down hard on somebody thats good at everything, but not the best.

    true true but good luck in it /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

  23. QUOTE(uchsdecatholete @ Mar 14 2007 - 10:15 PM) 826412427its all about the points man, im not shootin for first i just wanna do the best that i can do in all 10 events too get my points as clos to 1000 as possible

i kno but the key is you finish before i do or i get more points

  24. QUOTE(uchsdecatholete @ Mar 14 2007 - 10:05 PM) 826412413how is elizabethons decatholetes gonna be in the decathelon comming up on april 19, wats there pole vaulters gonna do?

well we done pretty good last year one of ours finshed second in the state but this year we have two really fast people in it so id say idk bout the pole vault but hope you can keep up with them in all the othere even /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> ts

  25. QUOTE(RangerCountry @ Mar 14 2007 - 09:34 PM) 826412344The game has been moved to friday night so i guess we'll get to find out a day earlier what etown can do in single A. Who is going to be on the rubber for Elizabethton??? I'm pretty sure Church will be hurling for the Rangers in this one. This game should be a classic. As a great man once said, "Lets play some Baseball."

should be guinn and bureleson and davenport
