  1. I was wondering who all from East Tennessee already knows where they are playing college ball. I don not know anyone who is playing where I am and was hoping to meet some prospect softball players as well as my own teammates Saturday at Open House. I am also interested in seeing where all the players in my district (Morristown East, Morristown West, Cherokee, Cocke Co, Greenville, and of course Jefferson County where I am) are playing next spring. Fill me in!

  2. Who will be the top pitchers in Tennessee this year?

I would have to add 2 girls from Jefferson County. Tori Hill and Ashley Earl both have amplified speed and both throw some great pitches. Obviously I am there everyday at practice as a teammate. They both bust their butts thrown about 100 pitches just in the hour we have been having on the field. With TSSAA rules stating our coaches cannot be coaching they work on their own leaving a good impression on everyone. Look out for Earl and Hill who have both thrown no hitters vs district teams as well as in Tourneys.

  3. To keep my integrity intact on this board (ha! ha!) I must regretfully make a correction from my post on the JCHS vs. Farragut post. The final score after 13 innings was 8-3 Farragut as new pitcher entered for JCHS in last inning and gave up two more runs. Don't misspercieve what I am saying Farragut rotated their team as well, but the two starting teams were very well matched. Score after "starting" teams left field 1-0 Farragut on hit batsman and two botched routine plays at third. Lance as you may well recall I broke my crystal ball last year, but am happy to report the purchase of a new one. I got it from the Betsy Ross school for phsychics it does however tend to predict all scores in favor of PATRIOTS!!!

Well the scrimmage went very well. Our defense was just incredible and our bats look preety good as well. I guess all of the soft toss pays off in the long run... Umm the score was not 8-3, more like 6-4. Trust me we kept up, but hey at least you're a JC fan it's okay though we'll forgive you this time. Well I'm glad that crystal ball is back because man oh man we're ready to hit the field and say, "Thanks for playing."

  4. Your preseason exuberance is noted mwtfan. Seems a little Florida sunshine has brough renewed expectations of crowns and treasures. But alas you are correct, it is time to get the softball juices flowing.

Haven't really given a lot of thought, but I assume Cherokee has to be the preseason favorite. Senior laden and fully equipped. New head coach and I'm sure excitement to begin their final season. More to come later.

Florida sunshine brings a smile to Trojan fans.

Cocke County gets two highly skilled freshman and begin to turn the corner.

Gville some great youth and may still need another year or two.

The Canes - but of course - are back and ready to play. Time will tell, but if the get it together -- watch out.

Jeff - big influx of youth and fired up coach gets them ready to go this year as well.

Looks like a more difficult year for Lance's Losers, but I will polish the ball. My 97% mark of last year is probably in jeapardy.

    GO IMAC!!!

Well now someone actually isn't putting Jeff down. Wow after the whole ducks running around the pond thing last year after losing to Greenville this surpirses me... Hmm, ya well Jeff does have a fired up coach and an awesome defense. The Scrimmage against Farragut was very well battled. Farragut didn't have much on our defense...

  5. Sorry . . . I meant District 1 . . . I'm still trying to make to transition from football to softball.

Well what about Region 1 district 2? Jefferson County's not a rebuilding year anymore and I haven't heard anything from the Morristown teams so I guess their in hiding. Cherrokee from what I heard is going to be the same team, which they're always pretty strong. Who knows but from what I've heard everyone in District 2 is pretty excited to watch us girls compete.

  6. QUOTE(Lance @ May 9 2007 - 08:05 PM) 826455723[/snapback]Don't bank on it Lady Pats -- Lance knows everything (lol).

I heard it was a good game tonight. Congrats to Lady Trojans and Chiefs. Fly that IMAC flag.

Best wishes to the Lady Chiefs. They deserve to win a state title, but with all of the Knoxville teams, competion will be hard. All of Jefferson Co. is pulling for Cherokee! Go get 'um Ladies!
