1. Well everybody, I'm considering returning to the wrestling mat for my senior year, but here's my dilemna:

I've already committed to my school's drama club and I'm going to be involved in a lot of school plays and that kind of stuff pretty much year round. That's my first priority; absolutely nothing is going to stop me from doing it. The problem is that my coaches probably aren't going let me be on the team, since I could be missing a lot of matches and practice. Is there some way I could compete in region and state without being sanctioned by my school? Probably a dumb question but I have to try.

    simply put

you said nothing will stop you from theater

then dont wrestle that will stop you from theater

i had to make a tough choice last season between goin to a concert with my gf(of 1.5 yrs) that we planned months in advance, or wrestling in my teams season opening duel. I went to the conert, they barely won the duel and my coach sat me out of the next tournament that we had. Ive never stopped regretting that decision. and the girl? we broke up two months later

so make a choice about what you want to be doing long term and what you want to do right now

well, dont be insulted, we would like for you to come and wrestle in the state duals, but i believe i speak for everyone when i say, "we'f rather not get destroyed."

its nothing against you, its just... well... you

  3. QUOTE(jukeboxhero17 @ Mar 30 2007 - 10:48 AM) 826426509i dont see johonson, kelly or randoplh even on the brackets why didnt they go

demetrius told me @ the pat nailen tournament last sat that his dad didnt want him to go (for whatever reason), but the master chief knows best thats for sure plus demetrius has already signed with UTC so whats the point i guess. But why kelly felix or hunter randolph didnt go that beats me. their choice though

  5. QUOTE(ut18vols @ Feb 17 2007 - 12:28 PM) 826376061I was talking at state with some people and Ive decided a way to have the undisputed 1st, 2nd, 3rd place winners.

How to win 1st--like always win your bracket

How to win 2nd/3rd You lose in the finals for 2nd and win the conso for 3rd. Then them two meet one time to decide the who gets 2nd and 3rd, and who then cant have any complaints, he never wrestled this guy, so how do you know that 3rd place was a better wreslter than the 2nd placer. What do yall think about this, Im pretty sure yall have heard this but I figure Id put it on here.

very good idea, its called true second and it could only happen if the 3rd placer never wrestled the second place in that tournament. The only reason they dont do that is because everyone comes to see the finals match, after that, no one really cares about 2nd or 3rd place. But most if not all regions use true second as a measure for team state.

all new results are accessible for six months, after that you have to subscribe. well-worth the money if you are into the sport.
