1. A red card is a red card. Lebanon should have been down to 10

    Straight from TSSAA:

"Two-game suspension applies only in the case of a straight red card, not a yellow-red, or what is also called a ???soft red.??? Although a red card is pulled after a player receives a second yellow in a match and that player must leave the field, coaches are allowed to substitute, and no suspension is imposed."

  2. Oakland Got really lucky. They did a good job at holding lebanon back once number 7 got a red they were done. Im saying oakland was lucky because the refferee made a critical mistake that could have ultimatly costed oakland thier season. Lorenzo got the red and oakland played down 1 man. But, when number 7 on lebanon was red carded they did not Play a man down so it was 11 v 10 for oakland the whole game. Great job at holding them back. Also, siegel will be a great challenge If oakland plays like they did against lebanon it will be a blood bath 4-1 seems like it could be a very possible score for this game again /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Just to clarify, the reason Lebanon was able to replace the red carded player is because it was a soft red. The Oakland player got a straight red card while the Lebanon player was sent off for a second yellow. Heck of a game.

  3. Oakland 3 Lebanon 1

    wow what a game.... /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

Hats off on the 2nd half for Oakland to step up..

Game started off slow Oakland didn't control the ball or communicate like they have been. Then around 5 min left was a goal off a free kick in which Oakland took the lead 1-0 into half. 2nd half both teams came out hot and passed both well to each other although there was alot of unnecessary words being exchanged through Lebanon's players.

Lebanon knocked one in and really had the momentum until Oakland fired one in about 15 min left in . During this time we saw Lebanon break down mentally and lost there style of play. They ran there mouth and continued to challenge every call. We even had 2 of Lebanon's players to the sideline and say vulgar things which was not right. Oakland knocked another in with 4 mins left in which 1 player got ejected from the game.

If Lebanon would of hushed there mouth I believe they could of tied this game and made it into something. But it was a different story.

Congrats to Oakland Soccer, Keep it up cause pretty sure thats 2 wins in a row for a turnaround season /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Your fans were classless so shut it. That was also one of the poorest reffed matches I have ever seen.

  4. Bear in mind that some teams have not played as many district games. Ranking is not intended with this list just to show everyone's points so far. Good luck to everyone.

    Cookeville: 2 - 0 - 2 = 8 points

    Riverdale: 2 - 0 - 0 = 6 points

    Lebanon: 2 - 1 - 2 = 6 points

    Blackman: 1 - 0 - 2 = 5 points

    Warren County: 1 - 2 - 1 = 4 points

    Siegel: 0 - 2 - 2 = 2 points

    Oakland: 0 - 2 -2 = 2 points

White County: Automatically comes in last place

Lebanon has 8 points according to your graph, not 6.

What was the score of the Blackman v Siegel game?

  5. Another season will soon be under way. Cookeville returns as regular season champions while Blackman are the Tournament Champions and state semi-finalists. Riverdale are returning alot of players, as are Lebanon. Siegel always has talent. Oakland my provide some surprises, and I believe White County are playing regular season district games this year.

So how will it turn out:

    Blackman

    Cookeville

    Lebanon

    Oakland

    Riverdale

    Siegel

    Warren County

    White County

    Let the discussion begin.

  6. District match for Lebanon's Homecoming. Also, Coach McDowell returns to see all his former players (ex-Assistant Basketball, Girls Soccer, and Boys Soccer coach at Lebanon)

    Predictions?

Lebanon is coming off a rather surprising loss to Warren Co., but this is Homecoming so i'll say Lebanon by 7

  7. QUOTE(SPIKE10 @ May 9 2007 - 12:45 PM) 826455488ok not their whole jv team was in but i was there and i know for a fact they played a lot of subs in the second half.. and as for lebanon, why would you play your jv instead of tryin to score and gain the goals back especially knowing it could be your last game.

    ALOT of jv seniors

  8. QUOTE(underrated27 @ May 8 2007 - 12:49 PM) 826454468Not trying to whine because the game is over and there's nothing we can do anything about it, but when Travis recieved the ball he scored on, it was a deflection off of the keeper which makes him onsides. When the ball deflected off of the keeper Travis wasn't offsides. He may of been offsides but the ball was never played to him, he played it off the keeper's deflection from a shot.......Good Luck to Cookeville just play your game boys, hope to see you win it all.

The WC player ran into the Lebanon keeper which caused him to drop it. The final call on that play was a foul, not offside
