1. Here's another positive spin on TSSAA new 50% rule: In the years before the 50% rule small schools were excluded from HS fall basketball leagues because they did not have enough players to fill a roster.

Many private school, A and AA athletes play multiple sports so they could only get 3 to 5 players to commit per school. Now the playing field has been leveled out. All schools both big and small can send players in groups of 3 or less to be mixed and matched with players from other schools.

The small school players will have the same opportunity as the big school players.

The two Fall Lgs that I am aware of are located in Knoxville at Karns High and in Middle Tn at Hooptown.

Not sure how to find out info about Karn's but here's Hooptown's website. www.Hooptown.net

What affect will this new rule have on summer AAu competition?

  2. QUOTE(t-mac @ May 22 2007 - 11:43 AM) 826464594Does D. Ricks play for this team or does he play for the Tennessee Mavericks. Why dont Ricks, Taylor, Harper, and Allen all play on the same team. It would help their chemistry for this upcoming season

Yes D. Ricks and Brandon Allen both play for this team. D. Taylor started out with the Warriors last year but opted to play for the Mavs this year.

  3. QUOTE(Ilovethisgame23 @ May 7 2007 - 09:32 PM) 826454032THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS BOTH TEAMS WERE MISSING PLAYERS BUT IT REALLY DOES NOT MATTER BECAUSE TO BE HONEST THE RESULTS ARE SET AND THE CHATTANOOGA WARRIOS WON.....THE MIDSTATE BALLERZ CAME IN SECOND TOUGH LUCK.... BOTH TEAMS ARE IN THE STATE SO WHY KEEP COMPLAINING AND RIDING MID STATE.......SHOW SOME RESPECT TO THE WARRIORS THATS TWO YEARS IN A ROW THEY WON IT AND STILL NO RECOGNITION WHAT A SHAME

The Warriors would like to thank you for your vote of confidents.

  4. QUOTE(RHS02 @ May 7 2007 - 12:15 PM) 826453565Age difference is more magnified the younger you are. Mos t16's are not as mature as 17's and in some cases the difference is dramatic. You would not notice it as much in the NCAA or NBA as most of these guys are fully mature. I'm sure the Ballerz came to play, but they were missing 7 players. How many were you guys missing?

First of all we only have 4 players on our 17u that are actually 17. Everybody else is 15 and 16 year olds. So where's the the big age different. Not to trying to downplay the ballerz, you guys have a good team. All we want is some repect to.

  5. QUOTE(ETNBB @ May 7 2007 - 08:35 AM) 826453372Good win for the Warriors.

The Ballerz were short handed Sunday as lost their starting post to an eye injury on Saturday and their 3 point guards were not at the tournament.

Just to let you know the Chatt Warriors were short handed as well. Furthermore, in the ncaa and nba players are not the same age nor do they have the same talent but they come to play everyday regardless of the opponent.

  6. QUOTE(gomab2 @ May 7 2007 - 10:05 AM) 826453464And don't forget the Ballerz coach wasn't there either /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Would have liked to have been there to see the other teams. Heard Chatt Warriors are a very talented bunch: definitely a program on the rise in the State

Even after winning, we still get no respect. Just to let everybody know, only 4 players on the Chatt Warriors are 17. The rest are 15 and 16. We really appreciate the vote of confidents for our players. Finally, we fill that we can compete with any team on any given day. Please don't sleep on us.

  7. the chattanooga warriors was well represented by it's 15u, 17u teams this past weekend.

Both teams won 3 games and lost only 1.

17u warriors played teams such as the tennessee heat, xba-ohio, atlanta select, south carolina kev's dream team. The only lost was to xba-ohio by a margin of 2 points.

15u warriors lost to a kentucky team in the championship game by a margin of nine points.

If their are any good tournaments with great competition, we would like to be apart of them. Please contact: Trin Suttles @ 423-313-0238
