For some reaon, it seemed tome that the Principal this year had been changed and the principal at Franklin had taken her place. Was that not right>
Not quite. Campbell was an assistant principal at FHS and replaced Webb at IHS.
-
i thought it was Drew Kelly and Kuchar that split the MVP 2 years ago
I think that is correct.
-
i agree. wilson is the better centerfielder you have to get a good route to a ball to make the tough plays wilson does that better than kemp
Been hangin' out with Michael Phelps?
-
Hands down Kemp. He is a gamechanger offensively and defensively
Anyone see Tony's catch of Navery Moore's shot last year? Best play I've ever seen at ANY level.
-
Ok I'm getting sick of all the Ray throws 91 and Hillis throws 94. Look, they are 1 and 2 as far as pitchers go in the district. Hitting 91 and 94 means just that, you hit it once or twice. Doesn't mean they can throw that consistently because they can't. Both are good pitchers however both struggle with good command, especially Hillis. Bruin19 that was for you. IHSEAGLES10, all this LEE LEE LEE talk. Easy please. Lee is an outstanding player, but maybe not the best in the district. I would go Kemp #1 Lee #2. If you wanna talk offers, Kemp has verbally commited to East Carolina, offers from Vanderbilt, and LSU, just to name a few. If you wanna talk stats......Lee was around 390. 's both of his years in high school so far.....Kemp has hit .439 both years, along with leading in stolen bases. Both are amazing players and will do very well at the next level.
For those that may not know, Tony's brother played at ECU and was Conference USA player of the year last spring. He is now in the Brewers minor league organization.

ook good effort.. if u are good enough to play against the top teams in the nation u know who plays on which team but obvioulsy your not good enough so you wouldnt know but hey good luck goin to college to play baseball..not... and i know they didnt have hillis last year but theere not gonna have him by the middle of the year either cuz he will get in trouble.. but i wish the best for you and brentwood against indy this season since last year they went 0-4 agianst them last eyar
Stop it with the last year stuff. Based on that logic, Indy has no chance against Centennial this year since CHS swept the series last season, including a run rule job in the tournament. Also, CHS hasn't lost to Brentwood since 2006 but know what that means in 2009? Zippo.

There has been a huge debate it seems like over Josh Lee from? And Tony Kemp from? Who is better? Josh Lee is a Vandy commit and Kemp an East Carolina commit so I hear. Who is BETTER? Two good programs I might add
Tony Kemp = Ricky Henderson

Any word on where players from this region/district are going to continue their playing days in college?
Chaz Scales to Arkansas State.

Has this new "SarahPalin" person contributed 1 relevant post to this thread? I don't see one.
This dude did the same thing during football season when he posted as Goldendomer or something similar.

If you can show me a better position player other than Lee in 11AAA let alone mid-state I would like to know who it is... the kid has pop can hit for average, good arm strength, speed and great range...SEC potential???
Tony Kemp

Much deserved credit goes to Centennial. I think that's Centennial's first win over Franklin in like 4 years, Bwood had their first win over Franklin in like 6 years. Franklin fans can only hope the Rebels' seniors find a way to climb out of this ditch they are playing in. Something seems out of sync on offense right now. Haddix is steady but the guard play seems very inconsistant. If Young only nets 6 the Rebels will have a tough time beating anybody. Big game by Miller-McLemore scoring wise, one has to think if he scores 20 that Franklin would win easily. At some point Franklin must become a feared opponent once gain, right now it seems if though any district team has a shot. Not sure if this is attitude or offensive execution on the wings? Anybody have thoughts on the Rebels' recent struggles? Looks like coach Jay J. has a tough coaching assignment ahead of him.
I missed the game last night but noticed in the box score Young's points came on two 3's. He has always been a big scorer so someone must of played some defense. Are teams covering him differently since Kegarise (sp?) is not around?

Any word on the Beech/Ravenwood game?
Last update announced at Franklin was 2-2 in the 7th
-
In the first game at Centennial, Indy eliminated Overton 5-2. Centennial then beat the Eagles for the third time this year, ending their season by smoking them 12-2.
-
Independence 4 - 1, over Hillsboro
Brentwood 4 - 0, over Overton
Centennial over Hillwood (didn't catch the score)
Someone report about the Franklin/Ravenwood game.
CHS 3 -0
Last report I heard Franklin was up 3-1.

what happened between brentwood/ravenwood, and independence/overton? i think i can guess what happened in the centennial/hillsboro and franklin/hillwood games.
Sunday's games:

RHS 8, FHS 7 - Franklin had the bases loaded w/ one out in the bottom of 7 and hit into a third to first dp to end the game.
CHS 5, OHS 4 - Centennial trailed 4-0 after 5 1/2 but tied it with 4 in the 6th and won it w/ one out in the 7th.

The Tennessean has a good recap in today's sports section.
RHS 12, BHS 7
OHS 8, IHS 0
CHS 13, Hillsboro 0
FHS 17, Hillwood 0

Congrats to Cremmins and the Cougars for a well played game.
-
After a close game earlier in the year, can centennial beat the rebels at home?
Looks like the rain may win this one......
-
Centennial wins 5 - 4 at Brentwood in 8 innings. The Cougars continue to find ways to win close games. Tonight vs. Ravenwood and Friday vs Franklin will be big.
CHS 10-4 over Ravenwood.
-
Congrats to the Cougars on tonight's win at Indy. Chad Lister pitched an excellent game, Chase Barlar had the key hit and a relay from Matt Williams to Luke Fennell nailed a runner at the plate.
-
that was funny right there lol...are you gonna have a good year this year and what is your district record right now
Currently 1-1 in conference after a tough 6-5 loss to Franklin High. This team certainly has the potential to have a strong year as it blends a good mix of seniors with some talented underclassmen. Sr. SS Matt Williams is a Liberty (VA) signee and soph CF Tony Kemp can do it all.

centennial went 3-0 in pool play with a win over mt juliet 6-4. Where did they come from?
5020 Mallory Lane in Franklin.

I heard/read during preseason Indy was unstoppable and would walk thru district with ease. Just more proof you can't believe everything you hear.
