1. QUOTE(nation_supp89 @ Apr 16 2007 - 09:48 PM) 826439098If Way beats Tidwell, he should be ahead of tidwell. What number does Tidwell play

Way plays for DB. Hes not ahead of him. Just saying i think way has improved enough to beat Tidwell. and give alexander greer a run for his money today.

  2. QUOTE(nation_supp89 @ Apr 16 2007 - 08:44 PM) 826439020Honestly, and don't take this the wrong way, but I think Bo has another gear that he didn't even have to use against Parks. He gets better in clutch situations.

I saw him wax someone about the same as parks down at baylor, 6-0 6-1 and he was laughing making jokes with his friends inbetween games.

  3. QUOTE(nation_supp89 @ Apr 16 2007 - 08:42 PM) 826439015Bottom line: the more matches you play, the better you will be in clutch situations. Rankings don't make a HUGE difference but when you play a lot of tournament matches you are more mentally tough.

Pit two players that are around the same level against each other, and the one with more tournament experience will win

Say Way has worked hard enough to be a few levels above tidwell, and has quite a bit of match experience, but a few less matches, then what?

  4. QUOTE(nation_supp89 @ Apr 16 2007 - 08:37 PM) 826439008Guys, are you kidding me? Parks won ONE game. The match was not close, and you cannot twist it around at all to say it was. Bo ran all over him...plain and simple. Bo won the big points, and the big points are the ones that count.

Well put. This is why Bo will take parks out every time. Its simply because he is a better player. I have seen both play and parks is very impressive, but gooooooood night, Bo can hit that ball. His 2nd serve is faster than parks first, even if you add the sick spin, Bo wins 99 out of 100 times.

  5. QUOTE(nation_supp89 @ Apr 16 2007 - 08:35 PM) 826439002Ah.. I love how you two can talk endless crap to each other hidden behind the safety of your own computer screens. I would end this bickering...unless you want this thread to be closed /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Why are you caring what we say? Dont threaten someone whoever you are then not step up. Thanks.

  6. QUOTE(tennisplaya @ Apr 16 2007 - 08:34 PM) 826438998Rankings show experience. Without them players are nothing. So YES rankings do have somehting to do with how good players are. There's a reason Bo is ranked #1 in the south. He just wasnt put there.

Hes #1 in the nation idiot, well #2 recently. And they do show when your higher, but tons of people who dont travel alot to play tournaments can still be just as good. True there are alot of bad ones. But THHS, i mean your 2h on both side dude is really slaw. I dont see him winning more than 4 games.

  7. QUOTE(tennisplaya @ Apr 16 2007 - 08:24 PM) 826438983Does Ben Way even have a southern (or state for the matter) ranking, i havent even heard of him? Same with Elijah?

ANd hankins moved from virginia, Picking him up was great. I think SHHS GETS UPSET TOMORROW>

  8. QUOTE(tennisplaya @ Apr 16 2007 - 08:24 PM) 826438983Does Ben Way even have a southern (or state for the matter) ranking, i havent even heard of him? Same with Elijah?

Im sure they both have low southern rankings (around 1000) and lower state rankings. But having a ranking has nothing to do with how good they are. I mean sure you can gauge alot of players by high rankings, but there are many unknown descent players who arnt ranked. Way and hankins are great in doubles from what i've seen. And I think they both work out together on there game and have both come along long way. Way went 4,4 with rodgers in there challenge match, and 3,4 with maloy, and Hankins and way have split 3 times in all there matches.

  9. QUOTE(tennisplaya @ Apr 16 2007 - 08:17 PM) 826438973Becuase you guys have NO ONE after the 1 and 2 spots and they do. Simple as that

Hankins and way are both so much better its unreal. Everyones in for a closer call than they would like tomorrow.

  10. QUOTE(tennisplaya @ Apr 16 2007 - 07:50 PM) 826438932I also saw the match of Parks vs. Seal and although the score was 0,1 there were long rallies and there were alot of ###### games. Im not saying that Parks could beat Bo but it was much closer than the score reflected

Both are unbelievable junior players. But because Bo won all those de uce games, and all those long rallies is why he is a top ranked nation player, and still remains a few notches above Parks.

  11. QUOTE(Webb4 @ Apr 16 2007 - 07:52 PM) 826438934Good point Harris. Also, I dont know why we are even talking about TN High anyway. We all know they aren't going anywhere as far as state or the best team in AAA goes (which is the topic). Why don't we start talking about teams with legit chances at state like Siegal, Science Hill, and Bearden.

Someone who has SEEN DB this year explain to me why SH, and bearden are out of are reaches?

  12. QUOTE(tennisislife @ Apr 16 2007 - 06:20 PM) 826438847THS wins all the way.

DB only has 3 players in Miles, Andy and Hankins and all three can be beaten by THS's Top 3.

There is no way that DB even has a shot at coming out of singles 3-3. It will be 4-2 THS at worst and then the Vikings will take atleast 2 of the 3 doubles matches. Atleast DB has next year to look forward to. Wait nevermind. They better watch out for South and Central.

THHS stinks. Enough said. you stink, everyone thought we stunk, and now your acting stupid because you stink. Im sorry SHHS waxed on you 9-0. and Webb destroyed you 9-0. And you get embarassed at all your half descent matches. Your THS is pathetic. Stop talking so much, your using other peoples air.

QUOTE(tennisplaya @ Apr 16 2007 - 07:48 PM) 826438926Why is everyone still arguing about this one. It seems pretty obvious that Tenn High will win.

And if we do lose, i still have a date with titties sister afterwards to look forward too.

  13. QUOTE(TNtnns_07 @ Apr 16 2007 - 07:16 PM) 826438885oh snap son...i dont even know these other people but it seems like they think THS will win also....i really dont understand why people think THS is going to lose 9-0 or 8-1 to DB... but i do know that it is going to be a good match and probably a close one but THS will win

I think you talking we play SHHS tomorrow and i can promise it wont be 9-0 man.

  14. QUOTE(TNtnns_07 @ Apr 16 2007 - 07:41 PM) 826438914the funny thing is...you wont be there either...so yaaa...but anyways i know that thing about the doubles but if im not mistaken they still play 6 singles and 3 doubles...they all count...am i correct?

They do play 6 singles and 3 doubles. But the majority doubles winner is 1 point awarded, not 3. Singles are all 1 point each.

  15. QUOTE(tennisplaya @ Apr 14 2007 - 06:06 PM) 8264375922 wks ago Steven almost beat taylor crist. i think the score was 8-6. i watched steven playing, he has got alot better. i havent seen colton in a while, did he win his singles flight at rotary?

And also Crist plays #3. Unless they didnt need their whole top 6 for this match, or stacked a little. So what 2 people play ahead of young, wouldnt they be the main contenders?

  16. QUOTE(titlebound @ Apr 15 2007 - 07:44 PM) 826438197SHHS atleast 6-3 over DB...

Ice10... who usually wins between Andy and Miles?

Miles is a better player. Him and Ben were playing and miles rolled his ankle and was out for the first 4 weeks of the season. So thats why hes at 2 there hasnt been time for challenge matches. Im not sure if they played today or not.

Miles maloy did beat crist. 9-8. Good match, but does that make miles one of the best in the state?

  18. QUOTE(nation_supp89 @ Apr 15 2007 - 08:51 AM) 826437795Here's how I see it: neither team is deep enough to beat SHHS or Bearden. After the 2 spot, both teams drop off quite a bit.

At some point we'll realize talking is talking. we play SHHS tuesday. We'll see.

  19. QUOTE(Harris @ Apr 13 2007 - 10:32 AM) 826436729The word novice doesn't begin to describe you...

You start in district tournament. TSSAA Rules state that you must play 5 singles and 2 doubles in all post season play, including District tournament, which is what decides if you advance past Science Hill to go to Regions. You could lose both times to them in regular season and beat them in the 5-2 format of District tournament...thus when it matters you do not play 6-3

    Is that clear junior?

The word moron doesnt begin to describe you. Dont talk about a district different then yours when you dont know what your saying please. We dont have a district tournament for ours, we schedule SHHS twice and THS twice, if you split, you play a 3rd play off round to advance. There is no district tournament.

  20. QUOTE(Harris @ Apr 12 2007 - 12:32 PM) 826435976But not when it matters

im sorry i must have been mistaken. I thought we had to beat SHHS to get out of district. Which if im NOT mistaken, is the first step to attempting a title. So if we dont win this match that obviously "doesn't matter" explain to me why we started a season at all?

  21. QUOTE(titlebound @ Apr 12 2007 - 11:04 AM) 826435895Nobody cares why DB isn't playing.

I like how your name is title bound. Atleast i know what it feels like to have a title. Thanks for posting have a great day my UN-TITLED friend.

  22. QUOTE(TNtnns_07 @ Apr 12 2007 - 09:12 AM) 826435776his partner is josh wagner...im pretty sure he will play with tidwell

we have 2 seniors, 2 juniors, and three sophmores...all of which have played in the top six and all are good players

You just named 7 players? 2+2+3= 7...and your three sophmores only one is worth talking about. Our 2 freshman are both impressive players. Not only as freshman but as a whole. I think DB dominates THHS. We just looked weak because last year was such an off year.

  23. QUOTE(nation_supp89 @ Apr 12 2007 - 06:32 AM) 826435651Who is all in that one district? I know Bearden is up in Knoxville too. Bearden, SHHS, DB, and Tennessee High are all in the east

SHHS, DB, and THS are all in the same district. And only one team can come from District.
